مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ﴿٢﴾
How awesome the sudden calamity!
എന്തൊരു ഭയാനകമാണ് ആ പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള ദുരന്തം!
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ﴿٣﴾
And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be?
ആ പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള ദുരന്തം എന്താണെന്ന് നിനക്ക് എന്ത് അറിവാണ് നൽകുക?
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ﴿٤﴾
[It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion,
മനുഷ്യർ ആശയക്കുഴപ്പത്തിലായി ചിതറിപ്പറക്കുന്ന ഈയലുകളെപ്പോലെയാകുന്ന ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ (അത് സംഭവിക്കും),
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ﴿٥﴾
and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool....
പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ മൃദുവായ കമ്പിളി കഷ്ണങ്ങൾ പോലെയായിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യും.
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ﴿٦﴾
And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance
അപ്പോൾ, ആരുടെ (നന്മകളുടെ) തൂക്കം ത്രാസിൽ കനം തൂങ്ങുന്നുവോ,
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ﴿٧﴾
shall find himself in a happy' state of life;
അവൻ സംതൃപ്തമായ ഒരു ജീവിതാവസ്ഥയിലായിരിക്കും;
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ﴿٨﴾
whereas he whose weight is light in the balance
എന്നാൽ, ആരുടെ തൂക്കമാണോ ത്രാസിൽ കുറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്,
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ﴿٩﴾
shall be engulfed by an abyss.2
അവനെ ഒരു അഗാധഗർത്തം വിഴുങ്ങുന്നതായിരിക്കും.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ﴿١٠﴾
And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be?
ആ (അഗാധഗർത്തം) എന്താണെന്ന് നിനക്ക് ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തി തരുന്നതെന്താണ്?
