അല് ഇസ്റാഅ് · Surah 17 of 114 · 111 verses · Makkah
سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِۦ لَيْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْأَقْصَا ٱلَّذِى بَٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَآ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ﴿١﴾
LIMITLESS in His glory is He who transported His servant by night from the Inviolable House of Worship [at Mecca] to the Remote House of Worship [,at Jerusalem] - the environs of which We had blessed - so that We might show him some of Our symbols: for, verily, He alone is all- hearing, all-seeing.
തന്റെ ദാസനെ -നാം വിശുദ്ധമാക്കിയ പരിസരങ്ങളായ- അലംഘനീയമായ ആരാധനാലയത്തില് നിന്നും (മസ്ജിദുല് ഹറാം) വിദൂരമായ ആരാധനാലയത്തിലേക്ക് തന്റെ ചില ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് വേണ്ടി സഞ്ചരിപ്പിച്ചവന് ഏറെ സ്തുത്യര്ഹനത്രെ. തീര്ച്ചയായും അവനെല്ലാം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവനും കാണുന്നവനുമാകുന്നു.
وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هُدًۭى لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ مِن دُونِى وَكِيلًۭا﴿٢﴾
And [thus, too,] We vouchsafed revelation unto Moses, and made it a [source of] guidance for the children of Israel, [commanding them:] "Do not ascribe to any but Me the power to determine your fate,
നാം (അതുപോലെ) മോശെക്ക് ദിവ്യബോധനം നല്കിയിരുന്നു. അത് നാം ഇസ്രായേല് സന്തതികള്ക്ക് മാര്ഗദര്ശനത്തിനുള്ള ഉപാധിയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു: എന്നെ കൂടാതെ മറ്റാര്ക്കും നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിധിനിര്ണയാവകാശം നല്കരുതെന്ന് നാം അവരോട് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَبْدًۭا شَكُورًۭا﴿٣﴾
O you descendants of those whom We caused to be borne (in the ark] with Noah! Behold, he was a most grateful servant (of Ours]!"
നാം നോഹയുടെ കപ്പലിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചവരുടെ പിന്ഗാമികളല്ലയോ നിങ്ങള്, തീര്ച്ചയായും നോഹ നമ്മോട് ഏറെ കൃതജ്ഞതയുള്ള ദാസനായിരുന്നു.
وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّۭا كَبِيرًۭا﴿٤﴾
And we made [this] known to the children of Israel through revelation: "Twice, indeed, will you spread corruption on earth and will indeed become grossly overbearing!
നാം ഈ കാര്യം ദിവ്യബോധനങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഇസ്രായേല് സന്തതികള്ക്ക് അറിയിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു: (എന്തെന്നാല്) തീര്ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള് ഭൂമിയില് ഇരുവട്ടം വിനാശം വിതക്കുകയും ഏറെ അഹംഭാവികളായി മാറുകയും ചെയ്യും!
فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ أُولَىٰهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًۭا لَّنَآ أُو۟لِى بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ فَجَاسُوا۟ خِلَٰلَ ٱلدِّيَارِ ۚ وَكَانَ وَعْدًۭا مَّفْعُولًۭا﴿٥﴾
Hence, when the prediction of the first of those two [periods of iniquity] came true, We sent against you some of Our bondmen of terrible prowess in war, and they wrought havoc throughout the land: and so the prediction was fulfilled.
അങ്ങനെ ഇതില് ആദ്യ അധര്മത്തിന്റെ പ്രവചനം സത്യമായപ്പോള്, നാം നിങ്ങള്ക്കെതിരെ നമ്മുടെ ഏറെ ശൗര്യശാലികളായ ദാസന്മാരെ നിയോഗിച്ചു. അവര് ദേശത്തുടനീളം ദുരിതം വിതയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു: അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ പ്രവചനം സത്യമായിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَٰكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيرًا﴿٦﴾
And after a time We allowed you to prevail against them once again, and aided you with wealth and offspring, and made you more numerous [than ever].
അങ്ങനെ, ഒരു നിശ്ചിത സമയത്തിനു ശേഷം അവരെ അതിജയിക്കുവാന് നാം നിങ്ങളെ അനുവദിച്ചു. അതോടൊപ്പം നിങ്ങളെ സമ്പത്തിനാലും സന്താനങ്ങളാലും പോഷിപ്പിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ജനസംഖ്യ പൂർവോപരി പെരുപ്പിച്ചു തരികയും ചെയ്തു.
إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا ۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لِيَسُۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا﴿٧﴾
[And We said:] "If you persevere in doing good, you will but be doing good to yourselves; and if you do evil, it will be [done] to yourselves." And so, when the prediction of the second [period of your iniquity] came true, [We raised new enemies against you, and allowed them] to disgrace you utterly, and to enter the Temple as [their forerunners] had entered it once before, and to destroy with utter destruction all that they had conquered.
(അതിനുശേഷം നാം പറഞ്ഞു) നിങ്ങള് നന്മ ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോട് തന്നെയാണ് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നത്; നിങ്ങള് തിന്മ ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴോ, അതും നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോട് തന്നെയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അങ്ങനെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ പ്രവചനത്തിന്റെ സമയം വന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള് (നാം നിങ്ങള്ക്കെതിരെ പുതിയ ശത്രുക്കളെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും) നിങ്ങളെ പൂര്ണമായും അപമാനിക്കാനും, നിങ്ങളുടെ ആരാധനാലയത്തില് (ആദ്യശത്രുക്കൾ തള്ളിക്കയറിയത് പോലെ) അനുവാദമില്ലാതെ പ്രവേശിക്കുവാനും അവര് കീഴടക്കിയതെല്ലാം നിര്ദയം തകര്ത്തുകളയാനും (നാം) അവരെ അനുവദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يَرْحَمَكُمْ ۚ وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا ۘ وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ حَصِيرًا﴿٨﴾
Your Sustainer may well show mercy unto you; but if you revert [to sinning], We shall revert [to chastising you]. And [remember this:] We have ordained that [in the hereafter] hell shall close upon all who deny the truth.
നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ചിലപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളോട് കരുണ കാണിച്ചേക്കാം; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് (തിന്മയിലേക്ക്) മടങ്ങുകയാണെങ്കില് നാം (ശിക്ഷയിലേക്കും) മടങ്ങും. (ഓര്ക്കുക): സത്യനിഷേധികളായ സർവജനങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടി നാം നരകം തടവറയാക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَهْدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًۭا كَبِيرًۭا﴿٩﴾
VERILY, this Qur'an shows the way to all that is most upright, and gives the believers who do good deeds the glad tiding that theirs will be a great reward;
തീര്ച്ചയായും ഈ ഖുര്ആന് ഏറ്റവും നേരായ പാത കാണിച്ചുതരുന്നു. വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും സല്കര്മങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് മഹത്തായ പ്രതിഫലത്തെ പറ്റി സന്തോഷവാര്ത്തയറിയിക്കുകയും
وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا﴿١٠﴾
and [it announces, too,] that We have readied grievous suffering for those who will not believe in the life to come.
അതോടൊപ്പം വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതത്തില് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര്ക്ക് കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷ ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
وَيَدْعُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ بِٱلشَّرِّ دُعَآءَهُۥ بِٱلْخَيْرِ ۖ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَجُولًۭا﴿١١﴾
As it is, man [often] prays for things that are bad as if he were praying for something that is good: for man is prone to be hasty [in his judgments].
അതുപോലെ, മനുഷ്യന് നന്മയെ തേടേണ്ടതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യന് തിന്മയെത്തേടുന്നു.; അവന് (അവന്റെ തീരുമാനങ്ങളില്) ഏറെ തിടുക്കക്കാരനാകുന്നു.
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ءَايَتَيْنِ ۖ فَمَحَوْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلنَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةًۭ لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ فَصَّلْنَٰهُ تَفْصِيلًۭا﴿١٢﴾
And We have established the night and the day as two symbols; and thereupon We have effaced the symbol of night and set up [in its place] the light-giving symbol of day, so that you might seek to obtain your Sustainer's bounty and be aware of the passing years and of the reckoning [that is bound to come]. For clearly, most clearly, have We spelt out everything!
നാം രാത്രിയെയും പകലിനെയും രണ്ട് ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിന് ശേഷം നാം രാത്രിയെന്ന ദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തെ മായ്ച്ചുകളയുകയും (അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്ത്) പ്രകാശമാനമായ പകലെന്ന ദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു, നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളില് നിന്ന് തേടുവാനും, കടന്നുപോവുന്നതും വരാനിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ വര്ഷങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കറിയുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടി. തീര്ച്ചയായും, നാം എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും വളരെ സുവ്യക്തമായി സംവിധാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
وَكُلَّ إِنسَٰنٍ أَلْزَمْنَٰهُ طَٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِى عُنُقِهِۦ ۖ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ كِتَٰبًۭا يَلْقَىٰهُ مَنشُورًا﴿١٣﴾
And every human being's destiny have We tied to his neck; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall bring forth for him a record which he will find wide open;
ഓരോ മനുഷ്യന്റെയും ഭാഗധേയത്തെ നാം അവന്റെ കഴുത്തില് ബന്ധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പുനരുദ്ധാരണ നാളില് നാം അവന്റെയടുക്കലേക്ക് ഒരു രേഖ കൊണ്ടുവരും. അത് ഒരു തുറന്ന പുസ്തകം പോലെ അവന് കാണും.
ٱقْرَأْ كِتَٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًۭا﴿١٤﴾
[and he will be told:] "Read this thy record,! Sufficient is thine own self today to make out thine account!"
(അവനോട് പറയപ്പെടും): “നിന്റെ ഈ രേഖ നീ വായിക്കുക, ഇന്ന് നിന്റെ കര്മഫലങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കെടുക്കുന്നതിന് നീ മാത്രം മതി.”
مَّنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّىٰ نَبْعَثَ رَسُولًۭا﴿١٥﴾
Whoever chooses to follow the right path, follows it but for his own good; and whoever goes astray goes but astray to his own hurt; and no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden. Moreover. We would never chastise [any community for the wrong they may do] ere We have sent an apostle [to them].
ആരെങ്കിലും നേരായ പാത തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അത് അവന്റെ തന്നെ നല്ലതിന് വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു. അല്ല, ദുര്മാര്ഗമാണ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് അത് അവന്റെ തന്നെ ദോഷത്തിന് വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു. ഭാരം വഹിക്കുന്നവരാരും മറ്റൊരുവന്റെ ഭാരം വഹിക്കുകയില്ല തന്നെ. നാം ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെ നിയോഗിക്കുന്നത് വരെ ഒരു സമൂഹത്തെയും (അവര് ചെയ്ത തെറ്റുകള്ക്ക്) നാം ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല.
وَإِذَآ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا۟ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَٰهَا تَدْمِيرًۭا﴿١٦﴾
But when [this has been done, and] it is Our will to destroy a community, We convey Our last warning to those of its people who have lost themselves entirely in the pursuit of pleasures; and [if] they [continue to] act sinfully, the sentence [of doom] passed on the community takes effect, and We break it to smithereens.
എന്നാല് (ഇത് സംഭവിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞാല്) നാം ഒരു ജനതയെ നശിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാല്, സുഖലോലുപതയില് മുഴുകി എല്ലാം മറന്ന് കഴിയുന്ന ആ സമൂഹത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് നാം ഒരന്ത്യശാസനം നല്കും,;എന്നിട്ടും അവര് പാപങ്ങളില് മുഴുകി ജീവിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് ആ സമൂഹത്തിന് മേല് (സര്വനാശത്തിന്റെ) വിധി കല്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നാം അവരെ തകർത്തു തരിപ്പണമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ نُوحٍۢ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًۭا﴿١٧﴾
And how many a generation have We [thus] destroyed after [the time of] Noah! For, none has the like of thy Sustainer's awareness and insight into His creatures' sins.
നോഹയുടെ (കാലത്തിന് ശേഷമുള്ള) എത്രയെത്ര തലമുറകളെയാണ് നാം തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളത്! എന്തെന്നാല്, തന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ പറ്റി അറിയാൻ നിന്റെ നാഥന്റെയത്ര ഉള്ക്കാഴ്ച്ചയും ബോധ്യവുമുള്ള മറ്റാരുമില്ല തന്നെ!
مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُۥ فِيهَا مَا نَشَآءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَىٰهَا مَذْمُومًۭا مَّدْحُورًۭا﴿١٨﴾
Unto him who cares for [no more than the enjoyment of] this fleeting life We readily grant thereof as much as We please, [giving] to whomever it is Our will [to give]; but in the end We consign him to [the suffering of] hell; which he will have to endure disgraced and disowned!
ക്ഷണികമായ ഈ ജീവിതത്തെപ്പറ്റിയും (അതിന്റെ ആസ്വാദനങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചും മാത്രം ചിന്തിക്കുകയും) ചെയ്യുന്നവരില് നാം ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് നാം ഇച്ഛിച്ചത് നല്കുന്നു- എന്നാല് ഇതിന്റെ അന്ത്യത്തില് നാം അവന് നരകം വിധിക്കുന്നു; അതിലവന് പരിത്യക്തനും അപമാനിതനുമായി തന്റെ കാലം കഴിക്കേണ്ടി വരികതന്നെ ചെയ്യും!
وَمَنْ أَرَادَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُم مَّشْكُورًۭا﴿١٩﴾
But as for those who care for the [good of the] life to come, and strive for it as it ought to be striven for, and are [true] believers withal - they are the ones whose striving finds favour [with God]!
എന്നാല് വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് (അതിന്റെ നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ച്) ബോധവാന്മാരായിരിക്കുകയും, അതിന് വേണ്ടി പ്രയത്നിക്കേണ്ടത് പോലെ പ്രയത്നിക്കുകയും നല്ല വിശ്വാസികളായി ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരാരോ- അവരുടെ പ്രയത്നങ്ങളാണ് (അവരുടെ നാഥന്റെയടുക്കല്) പാരിതോഷികങ്ങള് കണ്ടെത്തുക.
كُلًّۭا نُّمِدُّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مِنْ عَطَآءِ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَآءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا﴿٢٠﴾
All [of them] - these as well as those - do We freely endow with some of thy Sustainer's gifts, since thy Sustainer's giving is never confined [to one kind of man].
എല്ലാവർക്കും - അക്കൂട്ടർക്കും ഇക്കൂട്ടർക്കും- തങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെയടുക്കല് നിന്നും ജീവിതാനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള് നല്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. (ഏതെങ്കിലും തരം ആള്ക്കാര്ക്ക് മാത്രം) പരിമിതപ്പെടുത്തിയതല്ല നിന്റെ നാഥന്റെ ദാനങ്ങൾ.
