كٓهيعٓصٓ﴿١﴾
Kaf. Ha. Ya. 'Ayn. Sad.
കാഫ്-ഹാ-യാ-അയ്ന്-സ്വാദ്.
ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ﴿٢﴾
AN ACCOUNT of the grace which thy Sustainer bestowed upon His servant Zachariah:
നിന്റെ നാഥന് തന്റെ ദാസന് സകരിയ്യാക്ക് ചൊരിഞ്ഞ കാരുണ്യത്തിന്റെ ബോധനമാണിത്.
إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّۭا﴿٣﴾
When he called out to his Sustainer in the secrecy of his heart,
അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ നാഥനെ പതിയെ വിളിച്ച സന്ദര്ഭം
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًۭا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّۭا﴿٤﴾
he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Feeble have become my bones, and my head glistens with grey hair. But never yet, O my Lord, has my prayer unto Thee remained unanswered.
അദ്ദേഹം പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു: എന്റെ നാഥാ, എന്റെ എല്ലുകള് ദുര്ബലമായിരിക്കുന്നു. തലനരച്ചു തിളങ്ങുന്നതുമായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ നാഥാ, നിന്നോടുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനകള്ക്ക് ഉത്തരം ലഭിക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല.
وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًۭا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّۭا﴿٥﴾
"Now, behold, I am afraid of [what] my kinsfolk [will do] after I am gone, for my wife has always been barren. Bestow, then, upon me, out of Thy grace, the gift of a successor
എന്റെ മരണ ശേഷം എന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കള് (എന്ത് ചെയ്യുമെന്ന്) ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു. എന്റെ ഭാര്യയാകട്ടെ വന്ധ്യയാകുന്നു. അതിനാല് നിന്റെ കാരുണ്യത്താല് എനിക്കൊരു പിന്ഗാമിയെ നല്കേണമേ.
يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّۭا﴿٦﴾
who will be my heir as well as an heir [to the dignity] of the House of Jacob; and make him, O my Sustainer, well-pleasing to Thee!"
എന്റെയും യാക്കോബ് (യഅ്ഖൂബ്) കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയും പിന്തുടർച്ചക്കാരനാകാന്. എന്റെ നാഥാ, അവനെ നീ നിനക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവനാക്കേണമേ.
يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّۭا﴿٧﴾
[Thereupon the angels called out unto him:] "O Zachariah! We bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son whose name shall be John. [And God says,] 'Never have We given this name to anyone before him."
(തദവസരം മാലാഖമാര് അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു:) ഹേ, സഖറിയാ, നിനക്ക് നാം യോഹന്നാന് എന്ന് പേരുള്ള ഒരു പുത്രന്റെ (ജനനത്തെ) സംബന്ധിച്ച ശുഭവാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കുന്നു. (ദൈവം പറയുന്നു:) ഇതിനു മുമ്പ് നാം ആര്ക്കും ഈ പേര് നല്കിയിട്ടില്ല.
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌۭ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًۭا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّۭا﴿٨﴾
[Zachariah] exclaimed: "O my Sustainer! How can I have a son when my wife has always been barren and I have become utterly infirm through old age?"
(സഖറിയ) ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു: എന്റെ ഭാര്യ വന്ധ്യയായിരിക്കെ എനിക്കെങ്ങനെ മക്കളുണ്ടാകും? ഞാനാണെങ്കില് പ്രായാധിക്യത്താല് ബലഹീനനായിരിക്കുന്നു.
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًۭٔا﴿٩﴾
Answered [the angel]: "Thus. it is; [but] thy Sustainer says, 'This is easy for Me - even as I have created thee aforetime out of nothing.'"
(മാലാഖ) പറഞ്ഞു: അത് ശരി തന്നെ. നിന്റെ നാഥന് പറയുന്നു: എനിക്കത് നിസ്സാരമാണ്. നേരത്തെ ഒന്നുമല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോഴാണ് ഞാന് നിന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്.
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةًۭ ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍۢ سَوِيًّۭا﴿١٠﴾
[Zachariah] prayed: "O my Sustainer! Appoint a sign for me!" Said [the angel]: "Thy sign shall be that for full three nights [and days] thou wilt not speak unto men.
(സഖറിയ) പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു: എന്റെ നാഥാ, എനിക്കൊരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം കാണിച്ചുതരിക. (മാലാഖ) അറിയിച്ചു: നീ തുടര്ച്ചയായ മൂന്നു രാവുകള് (പകലുകളും) ജനങ്ങളോട് മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് നിനക്കുള്ള ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം.
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةًۭ وَعَشِيًّۭا﴿١١﴾
Thereupon he came out of the sanctuary unto his people and signified to them [by gestures]: "Extol His limitless glory by day and by night!"
അപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം മിഹ്റാബില് നിന്ന് സ്വജനത്തിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു: രാവും പകലും നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെ അതിരറ്റ മഹിമയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക.
يَٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّۭا﴿١٢﴾
[And when the son was born and grew up, he was told,] "O John! Hold fast unto the divine writ with [all thy] strength!" - for We granted him wisdom while he was yet a little boy,
(പുത്രന് വളര്ന്നു വലുതായപ്പോള് അവനോട് പറയപ്പെട്ടു:) ഹേ, യോഹന്നാന്, ദൈവിക പുസ്തകം (നിന്റെ മുഴുവന്) കരുത്തോടെ മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുക. അതിന് നാമവന് കുട്ടിയായിരിക്കെ തന്നെ വിവേകം നല്കി.
وَحَنَانًۭا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّۭا﴿١٣﴾
as well as, by Our grace, [the gift of] compassion and purity; and he was [always] conscious of Us
കൂടാതെ നമ്മുടെ കൃപയും ദയയും വിശുദ്ധിയും കൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം (എല്ലായ്പോഴും) നമ്മെക്കുറിച്ച് ബോധ്യമുള്ളവനും,
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّۭا﴿١٤﴾
and full of piety towards his parents; and never was he haughty or rebellious.
തന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളോട് അനുസരണയുള്ളവനുമായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരിക്കലും ധിക്കാരിയോ അനുസരണമില്ലാത്തവനുമായിരുന്നില്ല.
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّۭا﴿١٥﴾
Hence, [God's] peace was upon him on the day when he was born, and on the day of his death, and will be [upon him] on the day when he shall be raised to life [again].
അതിനാല് ജനനനാളിലും മരണനാളിലും ജീവനോടെ (വീണ്ടും) ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്ന നാളിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു മേല് (ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സമാധാനം).
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًۭا شَرْقِيًّۭا﴿١٦﴾
AND CALL to mind, through this divine writ, Mary. Lo! She withdrew from her family to an eastern place
ഈ ദൈവിക പുസ്തകത്തിലൂടെ മേരിയെ കുറിച്ച് സ്മരിക്കുക. അവള് സ്വന്തക്കാരില് നിന്നകന്ന് കിഴക്കൊരിടത്ത്
فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًۭا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًۭا سَوِيًّۭا﴿١٧﴾
and kept herself in seclusion from them, whereupon We sent unto her Our angel of revelation, who appeared to her in the shape of a well-made human being.
തനിച്ചിരുന്ന സന്ദർഭം, നാം നമ്മുടെ മലക്കിനെ അവരിലേക്ക് അയച്ചു. മലക്ക് അവരുടെ മുന്നിൽ തികഞ്ഞ മനുഷ്യ രൂപത്തിൽ വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.
قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّۭا﴿١٨﴾
She exclaimed: "Verily, 'I seek refuge from thee with the Most Gracious! [Approach me not] if thou art conscious of Him!"
അവൾ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു: ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് പരമകാരുണികനിൽ അഭയം തേടുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ സൂക്ഷ്മതയുള്ളവനെങ്കിൽ (എന്നോട് അടുക്കരുത്).
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًۭا زَكِيًّۭا﴿١٩﴾
[The angel] answered: "I am but a messenger of thy Sustainer, [who says,] 'I shall bestow upon thee the gift of a son endowed with purity.'"
(മലക്ക്) പറഞ്ഞു: ഞാൻ നിനക്കൊരു പരിശുദ്ധനായ പുത്രനെ സമ്മാനമായി നൽകും (എന്നു പറയുന്ന) നിന്റെ നാഥന്റെ ദൂതനാണ് ഞാൻ.
قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌۭ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌۭ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّۭا﴿٢٠﴾
Said she: "How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me? - for, never have I been a loose woman!"
അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇന്നോളം ഒരു പുരുഷനും സ്പർശിക്കാത്ത എനിക്കെങ്ങനെ പുത്രനുണ്ടാകും? ഞാനൊരു ദുർനടപ്പുകാരിയുമായിരുന്നില്ല.
