അല് അന്ബിയാ · Surah 21 of 114 · 112 verses · Makkah
ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مُّعْرِضُونَ﴿١﴾
CLOSER DRAWS unto men their reckoning: and yet they remain stubbornly heedless [of its approach].
ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് അവരുടെ വിചാരണാവേള വളരെ അടുത്തെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും അവര് അതിനെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യത്തില് തീര്ത്തും അശ്രദ്ധരായിത്തന്നെ നിലകൊള്ളുകയാണ്.
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ﴿٢﴾
Whenever there comes unto them any new reminder from their Sustainer, they but listen to it with playful amusement,
തങ്ങളുടെ നാഥനില് നിന്ന് പുതുതായി ഒരു ഉദ്ബോധനം വന്നെത്തുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം അവരത് കേള്ക്കുന്നതുതന്നെ വിനോദങ്ങളില് ഏര്പ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടാണ്.
لَاهِيَةًۭ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ﴿٣﴾
their hearts set on passing delights; yet they who are [thus] bent on wrongdoing conceal their innermost thoughts [when they say to one another], "Is this [Muhammad] anything but a mortal like yourselves? Will you, then, yield to [his] spellbinding eloquence with your eyes open?"
ക്ഷണികമായ സുഖങ്ങളില് ഹൃദയം തളച്ചിട്ട് തെറ്റുകള് ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ തന്നെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സിലുള്ള രഹസ്യങ്ങള് അന്യോന്യം പങ്കുവെക്കുന്നു: ഇയാള് (മുഹമ്മദ്) നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് തന്നെയല്ലേ? എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനാണ് ബോധപൂര്വം അയാളുടെ വശീകരണശേഷിയുള്ള സംസാരം കേള്ക്കാന് നില്ക്കുന്നത്?
قَالَ رَبِّى يَعْلَمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ﴿٤﴾
Say: "My Sustainer knows whatever is spoken in heaven and on earth; and He alone is all- hearing, all-knowing."
പറയുക: ആകാശത്തും ഭൂമിയിലും പറയപ്പെടുന്നതെല്ലാം എന്റെ നാഥന് അറിയുന്നു. അവന് മാത്രമാണ് എല്ലാം കേള്ക്കുന്നവനും എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനും.
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَٰثُ أَحْلَٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌۭ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍۢ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ﴿٥﴾
"Nay," they say, "[Muhammad propounds] the most involved and confusing of dreams!" - "Nay, but he has invented [all] this!" - "Nay, but he is [only] a poet!" - [and,] "Let him, then, come unto us with a miracle, just as those [prophets] of old were sent [with miracles]!"
അവര് പറയുന്നു: അല്ല, മുഹമ്മദ് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം പൊയ്ക്കിനാവുകളാണ്. ഇതെല്ലാം അവന് സ്വയം കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതാണ്. അവനൊരു കവി മാത്രമാണ്. അങ്ങനെയൊന്നുമല്ലെങ്കില് പൂർവപ്രവാചകന്മാർക്ക് അവതീർണമായത് പോലുള്ള ഒരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തവുമായി അവനും വരട്ടെ.
مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿٦﴾
Not one of the communities that We destroyed in bygone times would ever believe [their prophets]: wilt these, then, [be more willing to] believe?
കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലങ്ങളില് നാം നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ ഒരു സമുദായവും അവരുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഇനിയിപ്പോള് ഇവരാണോ വിശ്വസിക്കാന് പോവുന്നത്?
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ﴿٧﴾
For [even] before thy time, [O Muhammad,] We never sent [as Our apostles] any but [mortal] men, whom We inspired - hence, [tell the deniers of the truth,] "If you do not know this, ask the followers of earlier revelation"
മുഹമ്മദേ, നിനക്കു മുമ്പും മനുഷ്യരെത്തന്നെയാണ് നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൂതന്മാരായി നിയോഗിച്ചത്. അവര്ക്കു നാം ബോധനം നല്കുന്നു. അതിനാല് സത്യനിഷേധികളോട് പറയുക: നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇതറിയില്ലെങ്കില് പൂര്വകാല വേദക്കാരോട് ചോദിച്ചുനോക്കുക.
وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ جَسَدًۭا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰلِدِينَ﴿٨﴾
and neither did We endow them with bodies that could dispense with food, nor were they immortal.
ആഹരിക്കാതെ ജീവിക്കാന് പറ്റുന്ന ശരീരവുമായല്ല ദൈവദൂതന്മാരെ നാം നിയോഗിച്ചത്. അവരിവിടം വിട്ട് പോവാത്ത നിത്യവാസികളുമായിരുന്നില്ല.
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ﴿٩﴾
In the end, We made good unto them Our promise, and We saved them and all whom We willed [to save], and We destroyed those who had wasted their own selves.
അവസാനം അവരോടുള്ള വാഗ്ദാനം നാം പാലിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അവരെയും നാം ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച മറ്റുള്ളവരെയും നാം രക്ഷിച്ചു. സ്വയമേ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞവരെ നാം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَٰبًۭا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ﴿١٠﴾
[O MEN!] We have now bestowed upon you from on high a divine writ containing all that you ought to bear in mind: will you not, then, use your reason?
ഓ മനുഷ്യരേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി ഒരു വേദഗ്രന്ഥം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളെ നാം അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങള് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിരിക്കേണ്ടതെല്ലാം അതിലുണ്ട്. എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് അതേക്കുറിച്ചൊന്നും ചിന്തിക്കുന്നില്ലേ?
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍۢ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةًۭ وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ﴿١١﴾
For, how many a community that persisted in evildoing have We dashed into fragments, and raised another people in its stead!
അക്രമത്തിൽ ഏര്പ്പെട്ട എത്രയെത്ര സമുദായങ്ങളെയാണ് നാം തകര്ത്തു തരിപ്പണമാക്കിയത്! അവര്ക്കു പകരം നാം മറ്റൊരു ജനതയെ വളര്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ﴿١٢﴾
And [every time,] as soon as they began to feel Our punishing might, lo! they tried to flee from it -
അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴെല്ലാം അവരതാ അവിടെ നിന്ന് ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെടാന് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു.
لَا تَرْكُضُوا۟ وَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُونَ﴿١٣﴾
(and at the same time they seemed to hear a scornful voice]: "Do not try to flee, but return to all that [once] gave you pleasure and corrupted your whole being. and [return] to your homes, so that you might be called to account [for what you have done]!
അതേസമയം നീചമായ ഒരു ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നപോലെ അവര്ക്കു തോന്നും. ഓടേണ്ട, നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ സ്വയം നശിപ്പിച്ച നിങ്ങളുടെ സുഖാഡംബരങ്ങളിലേക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലേക്കും തന്നെ തിരികെ ചെല്ലുക. നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് നിങ്ങളെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തേക്കാം.
قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ﴿١٤﴾
And they could only cry: "Oh, woe unto us! Verily, we were wrongdoers!"
കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അവര് പറയും: നാശം! തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള് തെറ്റുകാരായിപ്പോയി.
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَٰمِدِينَ﴿١٥﴾
And that cry of theirs did not cease until We caused them to become [like] a field mown down, still and silent as ashes.
അവരുടെ ഈ വിലാപത്തിന് ഒരു അന്ത്യമുണ്ടാവില്ല. നാം അവരെ കൊയ്ത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞ, നിശ്ചലവും നിശ്ശബ്ദവുമായ വിളനിലത്തെ ചാരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയാക്കും വരെ.
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ﴿١٦﴾
AND (know that] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play:
(അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക:) ഈ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ളതും നാം വെറുമൊരു കളിയായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതല്ല.
لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًۭا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ﴿١٧﴾
[for,] had We willed to indulge in a pastime, We would indeed have produced it from within Ourselves - if such had been Our will at all!
ഒഴിവുസമയത്തെ വിനോദത്തിനാണ് നാമത് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്നതെങ്കില് നാം സ്വയം തന്നെ അതു ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌۭ ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ﴿١٨﴾
Nay, but [by the very act of creation] We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it crushes the latter: and lo! it withers away. But woe unto you for all your [attempts at] defining [God] -
പക്ഷേ, സൃഷ്ടിപ്പില് തന്നെ നാം സത്യം കൊണ്ട് അസത്യത്തെ ചുഴറ്റിയെറിയുന്നു. അത് അസത്യത്തെ ഉടക്കുന്നു. അതോടെ അസത്യം അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുന്നു. നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തെപ്പറ്റി പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നെ നാശം.
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ﴿١٩﴾
for, unto Him belong all [beings] that are in the heavens and on earth; and those that are with Him are never too proud to worship Him and never grow weary [thereof]:
ആകാശഭൂമികളിലുള്ള സകലതും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റേതാണ്. അവന്റെ അടുത്തുള്ളവര് അവനു വഴിപ്പെടുന്നതിൽ ഒട്ടും അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നില്ല. അവര് അതിനാല് ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നുമില്ല.
يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
they extol His limitless glory by night and by day, never flagging [therein).
ഇടവേളകൾ ഇല്ലാതെ രാവും പകലും അവര് അവനെ വാഴ്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കുന്നു.
