സൂറത്തുൽ ഹജ്ജ് · Surah 22 of 114 · 78 verses · Period Uncertain
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِيمٌۭ﴿١﴾
O MEN! Be conscious of your Sustainer: for, verily, the violent convulsion of the Last Hour will be an awesome thing!
മനുഷ്യരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ റബ്ബിനെ തൊട്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ജാഗ്രതയിലായിരിക്കുക, നിശ്ചയമായും അന്ത്യനാളിലെ ആ അവസ്ഥ അത്യധികം ഭീകരമായിരിക്കും.
يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌۭ﴿٢﴾
On the Day when you behold it, every woman that feeds a child at her breast will utterly forget her nursling, and every woman heavy with child will bring forth her burden [before her time]; and it will seem to thee that all mankind is drunk, although they will not be drunk - but vehement will be [their dread of] God's chastisement.
മുലകുടി മാറാത്ത കുഞ്ഞിനു പാൽ കൊടുക്കുന്ന മാതാവ് തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന, ഗർഭിണികളായ എല്ലാ സ്ത്രീകളും നിർണിത അവധിക്കു മുമ്പേ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന ദിവസം. അന്നേ ദിവസം എല്ലാവരെയും മദോന്മത്തരെപ്പോലെ കാണാം, എന്നാൽ അവരാരും ഉന്മാദികളായിരിക്കുകയില്ല. എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശിക്ഷ അതികഠിനമായിരിക്കും (ഭയാനകമായിരിക്കും).
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّرِيدٍۢ﴿٣﴾
And yet, among men there is many a one who argues about God without having any knowledge [of Him], and follows every rebellious satanic force
ജനങ്ങളിൽ ചിലയാളുകൾ വ്യക്തമായ ജ്ഞാനമില്ലാതെ ദൈവത്തോട് തർക്കിക്കുകയും ധിക്കാരികളായ പൈശാചിക ശക്തികളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരായിട്ടുണ്ട്.
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ﴿٤﴾
about which it has been decreed that whoever entrusts himself to it, him will it lead astray and guide towards the suffering of the blazing flame!
ആർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞ് ആ പാത പിന്തുടരുന്നവരായിട്ടുണ്ടോ, നിശ്ചയമായും അവരുടെ പാത വഴികേടാണെന്നും, നരകശിക്ഷയിലേക്കു നയിക്കുമെന്നും/ നയിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്നും എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍۢ مُّخَلَّقَةٍۢ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍۢ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًۭا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةًۭ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍۢ﴿٥﴾
O MEN! If you are in doubt as to the [truth of] resurrection, [remember that,] verily, We have created [every one of] you out of dust, then out of a drop of sperm, then out of a germ-cell, then out of an embryonic lump complete (in itself] and yet incomplete, so that We might make [your origin] clear unto you. And whatever We will [to be born] We cause to rest in the [mothers'] wombs for a term set [by Us], and then We bring you forth as infants and [allow you to live] so that [some of] you might attain to maturity: for among you are such as are caused to die [in childhood], just as many a one of you is reduced in old age to a most abject state, ceasing to know anything of what he once knew so well. And [if, O man, thou art still in doubt as to resurrection, consider this:] thou canst see the earth dry and lifeless - and [suddenly,] when We send down waters upon it, it stirs and swells and puts forth every kind of lovely plant!
അല്ലയോ ജനങ്ങളേ, അന്ത്യനാളിനെ കുറിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ സംശയാലുക്കളാണെങ്കിൽ (ഓർക്കുക). തീർച്ചയായും നാമാണ് നിങ്ങളെ മണ്ണിൽ നിന്നും പിന്നീട് ബീജത്തിൽ നിന്നും രക്തപിണ്ഡത്തിൽ നിന്നുമൊക്കെയായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. അനന്തരം രൂപാകാരമായതിൽ നിന്നും അല്ലാത്തതുമായ മാംസക്കഷണത്തിൽ നിന്നും. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നാം (നിങ്ങളുടെ സൃഷ്ടിപ്പ്) വ്യക്തമാക്കിത്തരാനത്രേ അത്. ചിലർ (കുട്ടിയായിരിക്കെ തന്നെ) മരണത്തിനു കീഴടങ്ങുന്നു. മറ്റു ചിലരാകട്ടെ, മുമ്പ് എല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നവർ ഒന്നുമറിയാത്ത വാർധക്യത്തിന്റെ അവശമായ അവസ്ഥയിലായിത്തീരുന്നു. അനന്തരം നാം നിശ്ചയിച്ച കാലത്തേക്ക് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് (മാതാവിന്റെ) ഗർഭപാത്രത്തിൽ സുരക്ഷിത സ്ഥാനമൊരുക്കി. പിന്നീട് നാം നിങ്ങളെ കുട്ടിയായി പുറത്തെടുക്കുകയും അനന്തരം (ജീവിക്കാൻ അനുവദിക്കുകയും) നിങ്ങൾ (ചിലർ) പ്രായപൂർത്തിയുള്ളവരാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. അല്ലയോ മനുഷ്യരേ, അന്ത്യനാളിനെ കുറിച്ച് ഇനിയും നിങ്ങൾ അനിശ്ചിതത്വത്തിലാണോ? നോക്കൂ, തരിശുനിലങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? നാം മഴ വർഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അത് എല്ലാ മനോഹരമായ ചെടികളെയും മുളപ്പിച്ചു.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ﴿٦﴾
All this [happens] because God alone is the Ultimate Truth, and because He alone brings the dead to life, and because He has the power to will anything.
ഇതെല്ലാം (സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്) ഏകനായ നാഥനാണ് ആത്യന്തിക സത്യം എന്നതിനാലാണ്. അവനു മാത്രമാണ് മരിച്ചവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളത്. അവന് അസാധ്യമായി ഒന്നുംതന്നെയില്ല.
وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌۭ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ﴿٧﴾
And [know, O man] that the Last Hour is bound to come, beyond any doubt, and that God will [indeed] resurrect all who are in their graves.
(അല്ലയോ മനുഷ്യാ, അറിയുക:) അന്ത്യനാൾ വരാനിരിക്കുന്നുവെന്നതിൽ യാതൊരു സംശയവുമില്ല. സകലരെയും അവരുടെ ഖബറിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു പുനരുജ്ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا هُدًۭى وَلَا كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّنِيرٍۢ﴿٨﴾
And yet, among men there is many a one that argues about God without having any knowledge [of Him], without any guidance, and without any light-giving revelation -
അറിവോ മാർഗദർശനമോ ദിവ്യവെളിപാടോ ഇല്ലാതെ ദൈവത്തെ കുറിച്ച് തർക്കിക്കുന്ന ചിലയാളുകളുണ്ട്.
ثَانِىَ عِطْفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ ۖ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ﴿٩﴾
scornfully turning aside [from the truth] so as to lead [others] astray from the path of God. Disgrace [of the spirit] is in store for him in this world; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste suffering through fire;
നിന്ദയോടെ മുഖം തിരിക്കുകയും (സത്യത്തിൽ നിന്നും) ജനങ്ങളെ ദൈവപാതയിൽ നിന്നും വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരാണവർ. അവന് ഈ ലോകത്തു നിന്ദയും (അപമാനവും). പുനരുത്ഥാന നാളിൽ കത്തിജ്വലിക്കുന്ന തീ നാം അവനെ രുചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّٰمٍۢ لِّلْعَبِيدِ﴿١٠﴾
[and he shall be told:] "This is an outcome of what thine own hands have wrought - for, never does God do the least wrong to His creatures!"
തീർച്ചയായും അത് നിന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയ പ്രവർത്തന ഫലമാണ്. ദൈവം അവന്റെ അടിയാറുകളോട് ലവലേശം പോലും അനീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവനല്ല തന്നെ.
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍۢ ۖ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيْرٌ ٱطْمَأَنَّ بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ﴿١١﴾
And there is, too, among men many a one who worships God on the border-line [of faith]: thus, if good befalls him, he is satisfied with Him; but if a trial assails him, he turns away utterly, losing [thereby both] this world and the life to come: [and] this, indeed, is a loss beyond compare.
ജനങ്ങളിൽ ചിലയാളുകൾ അല്ലാഹുവിനെ ഓരത്തു നിന്ന് ആരാധിക്കുന്നവരായുണ്ട്. അവർക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും നന്മ വന്നുചേർന്നാൽ അവർ അതിൽ സംതൃപ്തരാവും. അതേസമയം വല്ല ദോഷവും ബാധിച്ചാൽ അവർ തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നു. അവന് ഇഹലോകവും പരലോകവും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നിശ്ചയമായും ഇത് താരതമ്യം പോലും അർഹിക്കാത്ത നഷ്ടമാണ്.
يَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ﴿١٢﴾
[By behaving thus,] he invokes, instead of God, something that can neither harm nor benefit him: [and] this is indeed the utmost one can go astray.
അവർക്കു യാതൊരുവിധ ഉപകാരമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ദൈവത്തെയല്ലാത്തവരിൽ അവർ അഭയം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. വളരെ സ്പഷ്ടമായ വഴികേടത്രേ അത്.
يَدْعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ ۚ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ﴿١٣﴾
[And sometimes] he invokes [another human being - ] one that is far more likely to cause harm than benefit: vile, indeed, is such a patron, and vile the follower!
(ചിലപ്പോൾ) അവന് ഗുണത്തേക്കാൾ ഉപദ്രവം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നവരെ വരെ വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. എത്ര മോശമായ രക്ഷകനും അനുയായിയും!
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ﴿١٤﴾
VERILY, God will admit those who have attained to faith and have done righteous deeds into gardens through which running waters flow: for, behold, God does whatever He wills.
നിശ്ചയമായും വിശ്വാസം പുൽകുകയും സത്കർമങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപൃതരാവുകയും ചെയ്തവരെ താഴ്ഭാഗത്തിലൂടെ അരുവികൾ ഒഴുകുന്ന സ്വർഗത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ദൈവം തന്റെ സ്വേച്ഛാനുസരണം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവനല്ലോ.
مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ﴿١٥﴾
If anyone thinks that God will not succour him in this world and in the life to come, let him reach out unto heaven by any [other] means and [thus try to] make headway: and then let him see whether this scheme of his will indeed do away with the cause of his anguish.
ദൈവം ഈ ലോകത്തും പരലോകത്തും തനിക്കു ഉപകാരം ചെയ്യുകയില്ലെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ഒരു കയറെടുത്തു സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നു ചെന്ന്, തനിക്കു ആപൽക്കരമായതിനെ തന്റെയീ കൗശലം കൊണ്ട് അതിജയിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ എന്നവൻ കാണിക്കട്ടെ.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يُرِيدُ﴿١٦﴾
And thus have We bestowed from on high this [divine writ in the shape of clear messages: for [thus it is] that God guides him who wills [to be guided].
ഇപ്രകാരമാണ് നാം ഉന്നതങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു സുവ്യക്തമായ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങൾ ഇറക്കുന്നത്. നിശ്ചയമായും ദൈവം അവൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരെ നേർമാർഗത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്നു.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ﴿١٧﴾
Verily, as for those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ], and those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Magians, [on the one hand,] and those who are bent on ascribing divinity to aught but God, [on the other,] verily, God will decide between them on Resurrection Day: for, behold, God is witness unto everything.
തീർച്ചയായും വിശ്വാസം പ്രാപിച്ചവരെയും ജൂതന്മാരെയും സാബിഉകളെയും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളെയും മജൂസികളെയും, ദൈവമല്ലാത്തവർക്കു ദിവ്യത്വം കൽപിച്ചവരെയും ഒക്കെ കുറിച്ച് പുനരുത്ഥാന നാളിൽ വിധിയെഴുതുന്നതാണ്. ദൈവം എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കും സാക്ഷിയല്ലോ.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۩﴿١٨﴾
ART THOU NOT aware that before God prostrate themselves all [things and beings] that are in the heavens and all that are on earth - the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts? And many human beings (submit to God consciously], whereas many [others, having defied Him,] will inevitably have to suffer [in the life to come]; and he whom God shall scorn [on Resurrection Day] will have none who could bestow honour on him: for, verily, God does what He wills.
ആകാശത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ള സൂര്യൻ, ചന്ദ്രൻ, നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ, പർവതങ്ങൾ, മരങ്ങൾ, ജന്തുജീവികൾ ഒക്കെ സ്വമേധയാ ദൈവത്തിനു മുന്നിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നില്ലേ, (ദൈവത്തിന് അനുസരണയുള്ള) നിരവധി ആളുകളും? വേറെ ചിലർ (അവനെ ധിക്കരിച്ചവർ) പരലോകത്തു നരകിക്കുന്നതാണ്. അന്ന് (അന്ത്യനാളിൽ) അപമാനിതനാകുന്നവനാരോ, അവനു മഹത്വമേകുന്നവനായി ആരുമില്ല. ദൈവം അവൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കും വിധം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവനാണ്.
۞ هَٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ﴿١٩﴾
These two contrary kinds of man have become engrossed in contention about their Sustainer. But [thus it is:] as for those who are bent on denying the truth - garments of fire shall be cut out for them [in the life to come]; burning despair will be poured over their heads,
സ്വന്തം പരിപാലകനെ കുറിച്ച് വാഗ്വാദത്തിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ട രണ്ടു വിഭാഗങ്ങളാണിത്. സത്യനിഷേധികൾക്ക് തീ കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉടയാടകൾ മുറിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ തലയ്ക്കു മേൽ തിളച്ച വെള്ളം ഒഴിക്കപ്പെടും.
يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ﴿٢٠﴾
causing all that is within their bodies, as well as the skins, to melt away.
അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ശരീരവും തൊലിയുമൊക്കെ വെന്തുരുകുന്നതാണ്.
