അന്നൂര് · Surah 24 of 114 · 64 verses · Madinah
سُورَةٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهَا وَفَرَضْنَٰهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ﴿١﴾
A SURAH [is this] which We have bestowed from on high, and which We have laid down in plain terms; and in it have We bestowed from on high messages which are clear [in themselves], so that you might keep [them] in mind.
നാം ഇറക്കിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു അധ്യായമാകുന്നു ഇത്. നാം ഇതിനെ നിയമമാക്കിയാണ് ഇറക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. വ്യക്തമായ സന്ദേശങ്ങള് നാം ഇതില് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക്[അവയെ മനസ്സില് സൂക്ഷിക്കാനായി.
ٱلزَّانِيَةُ وَٱلزَّانِى فَٱجْلِدُوا۟ كُلَّ وَٰحِدٍۢ مِّنْهُمَا مِا۟ئَةَ جَلْدَةٍۢ ۖ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌۭ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ ۖ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٢﴾
AS FOR the adulteress and the adulterer - flog each of them with a hundred stripes, and let not compassion with them keep you from [carrying out] this law of God, if you [truly] believe in God and the Last Day; and let a group of the believers witness their chastisement.
വ്യഭിചാരിണിയെയും വ്യഭിചാരിയെയും അവരിരുവരെയും നൂറടി വീതം അടിക്കുക. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമവ്യവസ്ഥ[നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തില് അവരോടുള്ള ദയ നിങ്ങളെ പിടികൂടാതിരിക്കട്ടെ, നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിലും അന്ത്യനാളിലും[യഥാര്ഥത്തില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെങ്കില്. അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനു വിശ്വാസികളില് ഒരു വിഭാഗം സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
ٱلزَّانِى لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةًۭ وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌۭ ۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٣﴾
[Both are equally guilty:] the adulterer couples with none other than an adulteress - that is, a woman who accords [to her own lust] a place side by side with God; and with the adulteress couples none other than an adulterer - that is, a man who accords (to his own lust] a place side by side with God: and this is forbidden unto the believers.
അവര് ഇരുവരും ഒരുപോലെ തെറ്റുകാരാണ്. വ്യഭിചാരി വ്യഭിചാരിണിയെ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരെയും ഇണയാക്കുകയില്ല, അല്ലെങ്കില് സ്വയം ദൈവത്തില് പങ്കുചേര്ക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയെ. വ്യഭിചാരിണി വ്യഭിചാരിയെ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരെയും ഇണയാക്കുകയില്ല, അല്ലെങ്കില്[സ്വയം ദൈവത്തില് പങ്കുചേര്ക്കുന്ന പുരുഷനെ. സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് ഇത് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَٰنِينَ جَلْدَةًۭ وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَهَٰدَةً أَبَدًۭا ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ﴿٤﴾
And as for those who accuse chaste women [of adultery], and then are unable to produce four witnesses [in support of their accusation], flog them with eighty stripes; and ever after refuse to accept from them any testimony - since it is they, they that are truly depraved!
ചാരിത്രവതികളായ സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കു മേല്[വ്യഭിചാരം ആരോപിക്കുകയും പിന്നീട്[തന്റെ ആരോപണത്തെ സാധൂകരിക്കാന് നാലു സാക്ഷികളെ ഹാജരാക്കാന് കഴിയാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ എണ്പത് അടി അടിക്കുക. അതിനു ശേഷം അവരുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം സ്വീകരിക്കരുത്. അവരാകുന്നു തെമ്മാടികള്.
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ﴿٥﴾
excepting [from this interdict] only those who afterwards repent and made amends: for, behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കുകയും തെറ്റു തിരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തവരൊഴികെ. നിശ്ചയം, ദൈവം നന്നായി പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കാരുണ്യം ചൊരിയുന്നവനുമാണ്.
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ﴿٦﴾
And as for those who accuse their own wives [of adultery], but have no witnesses except themselves, let each of these [accusers) call God four times to witness that he is indeed telling the truth,
തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ഭാര്യമാരുടെ മേല്[വ്യഭിചാരം ആരോപിക്കുന്നവര്, എന്നിട്ട് തങ്ങളല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരും [സാക്ഷിയായി] ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താല്, നാലു തവണ ദൈവത്തെ തൊട്ട് സത്യം ചെയ്യലാണ് അയാളുടെ[സാക്ഷികൾ, തീര്ച്ചയായും അയാള് സത്യം പറഞ്ഞേക്കാം.
وَٱلْخَٰمِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ﴿٧﴾
and the fifth time, that God's curse be upon him if he is telling a lie.
അഞ്ചാം തവണ, അവന് കളവാണ് പറയുന്നതെങ്കില് ദൈവിക ശാപം അവനില് വന്നുചേരട്ടെ.
وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ﴿٨﴾
But [as for the wife, all] chastisement shall be averted from her by her calling God four times to witness that he is indeed telling a lie,
[ഭാര്യയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം, അയാള് കള്ളം പറയുകയാണെന്ന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേരില് നാലു തവണ സത്യം ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കില് അവളെ ശിക്ഷയില് നിന്നു മുക്തമാക്കും.
وَٱلْخَٰمِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ﴿٩﴾
and the fifth [time], that God's curse be upon her if he is telling the truth.
അയാൾ പറയുന്നത് സത്യമാണെങ്കില് അഞ്ചാം[തവണ ദൈവശാപം അവളില് വന്നുപതിക്കും.
وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ﴿١٠﴾
AND WERE it not for God's favour upon you, [O man,] and His grace, and that God is a wise acceptor of repentance...!
[മനുഷ്യാ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മേല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും കാരുണ്യവും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയും ദൈവം പശ്ചാത്താപം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനും യുക്തിമാനും അല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയുമാണെങ്കില്...
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو بِٱلْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌۭ مِّنكُمْ ۚ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّۭا لَّكُم ۖ بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۚ لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُم مَّا ٱكْتَسَبَ مِنَ ٱلْإِثْمِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ كِبْرَهُۥ مِنْهُمْ لَهُۥ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ﴿١١﴾
Verily, numerous among you are those who would falsely accuse others of unchastity: [but, O you who are thus wronged,] deem it not a bad thing for you: nay, it is good for you! [As for the slanderers,] unto every one of them [will be accounted] all that he has earned by [thus] sinning; and awesome suffering awaits any of them who takes it upon himself to enhance this [sin]!
നിശ്ചയം, നിങ്ങളില് ചിലര് മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കു മേല് വ്യാജ ആരോപണങ്ങള് ഉന്നയിക്കുന്നു.[എന്നാല്, തെറ്റു ചെയ്തവരേ, അത് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് തെറ്റായ ഒന്നായി കരുതേണ്ടതില്ല. അല്ല, അത് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഗുണമുള്ള ഒന്നാണ്![അപവാദം പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ച]ഓരോരുത്തര്ക്കും താന് സമ്പാദിച്ച പാപത്തിന്റെ [ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമുണ്ടാകും. അതോടൊപ്പം അവരില് നിന്ന് ഈ[പാപത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നല്കിയവന് കടുത്ത ശിക്ഷയുമുണ്ട്.
لَّوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًۭا وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَآ إِفْكٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ﴿١٢﴾
Why do not the believing men and women, whenever such [a rumour] is heard, think the best of one another and say, "This is an obvious falsehood"?
എന്തുകൊണ്ട് സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും അത്തരമൊരു[വ്യാജവാര്ത്ത] കേട്ടപ്പോള് പരസ്പരം നല്ലത് വിചാരിക്കുകയും എന്നിട്ട്, ഇതൊരു വ്യക്തമായ കളവാണ് എന്നു പറയുകയും ചെയ്തില്ല?
لَّوْلَا جَآءُو عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ﴿١٣﴾
Why do they not [demand of the accusers that they] produce four witnesses to prove their allegation? - for, if they do not produce such witnesses, it is those [accusers] who, in the sight of God, are liars indeed!
എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അവര് ആരോപണങ്ങള്ക്ക് നാലു സാക്ഷികളെ കൊണ്ടുവരാന്[ആരോപിതരോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടില്ല? അവര് സാക്ഷികളെ ഹാജരാക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കില്, ദൈവത്തിനു മുന്നില്[ആരോപിതര്, അവരാകുന്നു കളവ് പറയുന്നവര്.
وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِى مَآ أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴿١٤﴾
And were it not for God's favour upon you, [O men,] and His grace in this world and in the life to come, awesome suffering would indeed have afflicted you in result of all [the calumny] in which you indulge
ഈ ലോകത്തും വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതത്തിലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും കാരുണ്യവും നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്, ഈ[അപവാദ പ്രചാരണങ്ങളില്] മുഴുകിക്കഴിഞ്ഞതിന്റെ പേരില് നിങ്ങളെ കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷ ബാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُۥ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُۥ هَيِّنًۭا وَهُوَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمٌۭ﴿١٥﴾
when you take it up with your tongues, uttering with your mouths something of which you have no knowledge, and deeming it a light matter whereas in the sight of God it is an awful thing!
നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ നാവു കൊണ്ട് ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അറിയാത്ത കാര്യങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വായ കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞുനടന്നു. എന്നിട്ട് നിങ്ങളത് നിസ്സാരമായ ഒന്നായി കരുതി. എന്നാല് ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ അത് അത്യന്തം ഗുരുതരമായ കാര്യമാണ്.
وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَٰذَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ هَٰذَا بُهْتَٰنٌ عَظِيمٌۭ﴿١٦﴾
And [once again]: Why do you not say, whenever you hear such [a rumour], "It does not behove us to speak of this, O Thou who art limitless in Thy glory: this is an awesome calumny"?
[ഒരിക്കല് കൂടി: അത്തരം[വ്യാജവാര്ത്ത കേള്ക്കുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങൾ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നില്ല: ഇതിനെ കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കല് നമുക്ക് ഉചിതമല്ല. പരിധികളില്ലാത്ത സ്തുത്യര്ഹനായവനേ, ഇത് അങ്ങേയറ്റം ഗുരുതരമായ ആരോപണം തന്നെ!
يَعِظُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا۟ لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٧﴾
God admonishes you [hereby] lest you ever revert to the like of this [sin], if you are [truly] believers;
ദൈവം[ഇപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളെയിതാ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും ഇതുപോലുള്ള[തെറ്റുകള് ആവര്ത്തിക്കരുത്, നിങ്ങള്[യഥാര്ഥ വിശ്വാസികളാണെങ്കില്.
وَيُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ﴿١٨﴾
for God makes [His] messages clear unto you - and God is all- knowing, wise!
ദൈവം[അവന്റെ സന്ദേശം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനും യുക്തിമാനുമാണ്.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ﴿١٩﴾
() Verily, as for those who like [to hear] foul slander spread against [any of] those who have attained to faith - grievous suffering awaits them in this world and in the life to come: for God knows [the full truth], whereas you know [it] not.
[ഏതെങ്കിലും സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്ക്കെതിരെ വ്യാജ ആരോപണങ്ങള്[കേള്ക്കാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ട്. ഇഹലോകത്തും പരലോകത്തും നോവുറ്റ ശിക്ഷ അവര്ക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം എല്ലാ[യാഥാര്ഥ്യങ്ങളും അറിയുന്നു. നിങ്ങളോ[അത് അറിയുന്നുമില്ല.
وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ﴿٢٠﴾
And were it not for God's favour upon you and His grace, and that God is compassionate, a dispenser of grace...
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും കാരുണ്യവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മേല് ഇല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കില്, ദൈവം കാരുണ്യവാനും കരുണ ചൊരിയുന്നവനും ആയിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്...
