الٓمٓ﴿١﴾
Alif. Lam. Mim.
അലിഫ് ലാം മീം.
تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿٢﴾
THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues, beyond any doubt, from the Sustainer of all the worlds:
ഉന്നതങ്ങളില് നിന്നുള്ള ഈ വിശുദ്ധ രേഖയുടെ അവതരണം, നിസ്സംശയം, സര്വലോകങ്ങളുടെയും രക്ഷിതാവില് നിന്നാകുന്നു:
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۚ بَلْ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًۭا مَّآ أَتَىٰهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ﴿٣﴾
and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, "[Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path.
എന്നിട്ടും, അവര് ഉറപ്പിച്ച് പറയും (സത്യത്തെ അടിയുറച്ച് നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവര്) “ഇത് മുഹമ്മദ് കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതാണ്” എന്ന്. അല്ല, ഇത് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല് നിന്നുള്ള സത്യമാകുന്നു, നിനക്ക് മുന്പായി മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകാരൊന്നും തന്നെ വന്നിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഈ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കുവാന് വേണ്ടി നിന്നെ തയ്യറാക്കാന്, ഇതുകൊണ്ട് ചിലപ്പോള് അവര് സന്മാര്ഗം പ്രാപിച്ചാലോ.
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ مَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ﴿٤﴾
IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves?
ആകാശഭൂമികളെയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ള സര്വ്വങ്ങളെയും ആറു ദിനങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും തുടര്ന്ന് അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഉപവിഷ്ടനാവുകയും ചെയ്തവനാരോ, അവനാകുന്നു ദൈവം. അവനില് നിന്നും നിങ്ങളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാന് വേറെയാരും തന്നെയില്ല, അവന്റെയടുക്കല് (വിധിപറയും നാളില്) നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ശിപാര്ശ പറയാനും വേറെയാരുമുണ്ടാവില്ല: എന്നിട്ടും, നിങ്ങള് സ്വയം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍۢ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥٓ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍۢ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ﴿٥﴾
He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning.
ആകാശലോകങ്ങള് തൊട്ട് ഭൂമിവരെ നിലനില്ക്കുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നവനത്രെ അവന്; നിങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കുകളിലെ ആയിരം വര്ഷങ്ങളുടെ ദൈര്ഘ്യമുള്ള ഒരു ദിവസത്തില് നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും (വിധി പറയുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി) അവന്റെയടുക്കലേക്ക് മടക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ذَٰلِكَ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ﴿٦﴾
Such is He who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception, as well as all thasdt can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind: the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace,
സൃഷ്ടികളുടെ ധാരണകള്ക്കപ്പുറത്തുള്ള സകലകാര്യങ്ങളും അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു അവന്, അത്പോലെ സൃഷ്ടികളുടെ ഇന്ദ്രിയശേഷികള്ക്കും ചിന്തകള്ക്കും കാണാന് കഴിയുന്നതെല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനുമാകുന്നു അവന്: അവന് സര്വശക്തനും ദയാപരനുമാകുന്നു,
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ مِن طِينٍۢ﴿٧﴾
who makes most excellent everything that He creates.6 Thus, He begins the creatidon of man out of clay;7
താന് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച രീതിയില് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നവനുമാകുന്നു അവന്. അങ്ങനെ, കളിമണ്ണില് നിന്നും അവന് മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന് തുടങ്ങുന്നു;
ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُۥ مِن سُلَٰلَةٍۢ مِّن مَّآءٍۢ مَّهِينٍۢ﴿٨﴾
then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid;
എന്നിട്ട് അവന് അവരെ ഒരു ചെറിയ ദ്രാവകത്തിന്റെ സത്തയില് നിന്നും പുനരുല്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു;
ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ﴿٩﴾
and then He forms him in accordance with what he is meant to be, and breathes into him of His spirit: and [thus, O men,] He endows you with hearing, and sight, and feelings as well as minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!
എന്നിട്ട് അവന് (സൃഷ്ടാവ്) അവരെ അവനനുസൃതമായ രീതിയില് രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയെടുക്കുകയും, അവരിലേക്ക് അവന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ ഊതുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നിട്ട് (അങ്ങനെ, ഓ മനുഷ്യരേ) നിങ്ങള്ക്കവന് കാഴ്ച്ചയും, കേള്വിയും, അനുഭൂതിയും മനസ്സും പ്രദാനം ചെയ്തു: (എന്നിട്ടും) നിങ്ങള് വളരെക്കുറച്ച് മാത്രമേ നന്ദികാണിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ!
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ بَلْ هُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَٰفِرُونَ﴿١٠﴾
For, (many are] they [who] say, "What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?" Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer!
എന്തെന്നാല്, അവരില് ഒരുപാട് പേര് ചോദിക്കുന്നു, “എന്ത് നമ്മള് മരിച്ച് ഭൂമിയില് ലയിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, വീണ്ടും പുതിയൊരു ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് നമ്മള് പുനര്സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്നോ?” ഹാ, പക്ഷെ (ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നതിലൂടെ) അവര് അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെ കണ്ട് മുട്ടാന് വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാണെന്ന സത്യത്തെ അവര് നിഷേധിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്!
۞ قُلْ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم مَّلَكُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ٱلَّذِى وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ﴿١١﴾
Say: "(One day,] the angel of death who has been given charge of you will gather you, and then unto your Sustainer you will be brought back."
പറയുക: “(ഒരു ദിവസം,) നിങ്ങളുടെ ചുമതലയേല്പ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട മരണത്തിന്റെ മാലാഖ നിങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കുകയും, എന്നിട്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്ക് തിരിച്ച്കൊണ്ടുവരികയും ചെയ്യും.”
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَآ أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَٱرْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ﴿١٢﴾
If thou couldst but see [how it will be on Judgment Day), when those who are lost in sin will hang their heads before their Sustainer, [saying:) "O our Sustainer! [Now] we have seen, and we have heard! Return us, then, [to our earthly life) that we may do good deeds: for [now], behold, we are certain [of the truth]!"
(അന്ത്യദിനത്തില് എങ്ങനെയായിരിക്കുമെന്ന്) നിനക്ക് കാണാന് സാധിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്, പാപങ്ങളില് മുഴുകിയവര് അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ മുന്നില് തലതാഴ്ത്തിയിരിക്കും, (എന്നിട്ട് പറയും:): “ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ! (ഇപ്പോള്) ഞങ്ങള് കാണുകയും കേള്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു! ഇനി ഞങ്ങളെ (ഭൂമിയിലെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക്) തിരിച്ചയക്കേണമേ, ഞങ്ങള് സല്കര്മങ്ങള് ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളാം: എന്തെന്നാല് (ഇപ്പോള്) ഞങ്ങള് (സത്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച്)ഉറപ്പുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുന്നു!”
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَءَاتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَىٰهَا وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنِّى لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ﴿١٣﴾
Yet had We so willed, We could indeed have imposed Our guidance upon every human being: but [We have not willed it thus - and so] that word of Mine has come true: "Most certainly will I fill hell with invisible beings as well as with humans, all together!"
എന്നിരുന്നാലും, നാം ഇച്ഛിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കില് തീര്ച്ചയായും എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരെയും നേരത്തെ തന്നെ നമ്മുടെ സന്മാര്ഗത്തിലാക്കാന് സാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നു: പക്ഷെ (നമ്മളങ്ങനെ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല-അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ) നമ്മുടെ വാക്കുകള് ഇപ്പോള് സത്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു: “എന്തെന്നാല് മിക്കവാറും നാം മനുഷ്യരെയും ജിന്നുകളെയും കൂടെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ട് നരകത്തെ നിറയ്ക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും!”
فَذُوقُوا۟ بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَٰكُمْ ۖ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ﴿١٤﴾
() [And He will say unto the sinners:] "Taste, then, [the recompense] for your having been oblivious of the coming of this your Day [of Judgment] - for, verily, We are [now] oblivious of you: taste, then, [this] abiding suffering for all [the evil] that you were wont to do!"
(അനന്തരം അവന് പാപികളോട് പറയും:) “എന്നാല് രുചിക്കുക, ഈ (വിധിപറച്ചിലിന്റെ) ദിനം വരുമെന്ന കാര്യത്തില് നിങ്ങള് വിസ്മൃതിയിലാണ്ടുപോയതിന്റെ (നഷ്ടപരിഹാരമായി)- എന്തെന്നാല്, തീര്ച്ചയായും, നമ്മള് (ഇപ്പോള്) നിന്നെയും മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു: രുചിക്കുക, (ഈ) നീ ചെയ്ത എല്ലാ (അധാര്മികതകള്ക്കുമുള്ള) ശാശ്വതമായ ശിക്ഷ!
إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًۭا وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ۩﴿١٥﴾
ONLY THEY [truly] believe in Our messages who, whenever they are conveyed to them, fall down, prostrating themselves in adoration, and extol their Sustainer's limitless glory and praise; and who are never filled with false pride;
നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശങ്ങള്, എപ്പോഴെല്ലാമാണോ അവര്ക്ക് എത്തിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്, അപ്പോഴെല്ലാം വീണുകിടന്ന് കൊണ്ട്, ഭയഭക്തിയാല് സുജൂദിലിരിക്കുകയും, തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ സ്തുതി പാടുകയും അവനെ പ്രകീര്ത്തിക്കുകയും; ദുരഭിമാനം തൊട്ടുതീണ്ടാത്തവരും മാത്രമാണ് നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശങ്ങളില് (സത്യമായും) വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്;
تَتَجَافَىٰ جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًۭا وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ﴿١٦﴾
[and] who are impelled to rise from their beds [at night] to call out to their Sustainer in fear and hope; and who spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance.
(പിന്നെ) തങ്ങളുടെ ശയ്യകളില് നിന്നും (രാത്രികാലങ്ങളില്) സ്വയം നിര്ബന്ധിച്ച്കൊണ്ട് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നവര് പേടിയോടെയും പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെയും തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെ വിളിച്ചുപ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; നാം അവര്ക്ക് നല്കിയതില് നിന്നും മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ചെലവഴിക്കുന്നവരുമത്രെ അവര്.
فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أُخْفِىَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍۢ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ﴿١٧﴾
And [as for all such believers,] no human being can imagine what blissful delights, as yet hidden, await them [in the life to come] as a reward for all that they did.
(അത്തരത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാ വിശ്വാസികളെയും) (വരും ജീവിതത്തില്) കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന, ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിര്വൃതി നിറഞ്ഞ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും സങ്കല്പ്പിക്കുവാന് തന്നെ സാദ്ധ്യമല്ല അവരുടെ കര്മങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രതിഫലമത്രെ അത്.
أَفَمَن كَانَ مُؤْمِنًۭا كَمَن كَانَ فَاسِقًۭا ۚ لَّا يَسْتَوُۥنَ﴿١٨﴾
Is, then, he who [in his earthly life] was a believer to be compared with one who was iniquitous? [Nay,] these two are not equal!
പിന്നെ, അവന് (തന്റെ ഭൗതിക ജീവിതത്തില്) വിശ്വാസിയായിരുന്നവനെ അനീതി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചവരുമായി താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്താമെന്നോ? (ഇല്ല) അവരിരുവരും തുല്യരേയല്ല!
أَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ نُزُلًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ﴿١٩﴾
As for those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds - gardens of rest await them, as a welcome [from God], in result of what they did;
വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും സല്ക്കര്മം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവര്ക്ക്- സ്വര്ഗീയാരാമങ്ങള് അവരെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു, അവരുടെ (രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല് നിന്നുള്ള) സമ്മാനമായി, അവര് ചെയ്ത പ്രവര്ത്തികളുടെ ഫലമായി;
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا۟ فَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَآ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
but as for those who are lost in iniquity - their goal is the fire: as oft as they will try to come out of it, they will be thrown back into it; and they will be told, "Taste [now] this suffering through fire which you were wont to call a lie!"
എന്നാല് അനീതികളില് മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക്- അവരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം നരകമത്രെ: അവര് അതില് നിന്നും പുറത്ത് കടക്കാന് ശ്രമിക്കുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം തന്നെ, അവര് അതിലേക്ക് തന്നെ തിരിച്ചെറിയപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും; എന്നിട്ടവരോടിങ്ങനെ പറയപ്പെടും, “നിങ്ങള് നുണയെന്ന് വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞ അതേ നരകശിക്ഷയുടെ രുചി നിങ്ങള് (ഇപ്പോള്) അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുക!”
