അല് അഹ്സാബ് · Surah 33 of 114 · 73 verses · Madinah
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا﴿١﴾
O PROPHET! Remain conscious of God, and defer not to the deniers of the truth and the hypocrites: for God is truly all-knowing, wise.
അല്ലയോ പ്രവാചകരേ! ദൈവത്തിനെ കുറിച്ച് നീ ബോധവാനായിരിക്കുക, അതുപോലെ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കപടവിശ്വാസികള്ക്കും മുന്നില് കീഴൊതുങ്ങി കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യരുത്: എന്തെന്നാല് ദൈവം മാത്രമാകുന്നു എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനും യുക്തിമാനും.
وَٱتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًۭا﴿٢﴾
And follow [but] that which comes unto thee through revelation from thy Sustainer: for God is truly aware of all that you do, [O men].
നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിനക്ക് വരുന്ന മാര്ഗനിര്ദേശങ്ങളെ പിന്പറ്റുകയും ചെയ്യുക: എന്തെന്നാല്, (ഹേ മനുഷ്യരേ) നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവര്ത്തികളെക്കുറിച്ചും ഏറെ ബോധ്യമുള്ളവനത്രെ ദൈവം.
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلًۭا﴿٣﴾
And place thy trust in God [alone]: for none is as worthy of trust as God.
നീ ദൈവത്തില് (മാത്രം) ഭരമേല്പ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക: എന്തെന്നാല് ഭരമേല്പ്പിക്കാന് അവനെ പോലെ വിശ്വസ്തനായ മറ്റാരുമില്ല തന്നെ.
مَّا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍۢ مِّن قَلْبَيْنِ فِى جَوْفِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَٰجَكُمُ ٱلَّٰٓـِٔى تُظَٰهِرُونَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَدْعِيَآءَكُمْ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ قَوْلُكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِكُمْ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَقُولُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَهْدِى ٱلسَّبِيلَ﴿٤﴾
NEVER has God endowed any man with two hearts in one body: and [just as] He has never made your wives whom you may have declared to be "as unlawful to you as your mothers' bodies" [truly] your mothers, so, too, has He never made your adopted sons [truly] your sons: these are but [figures of] speech uttered by your mouths - whereas God speaks the [absolute] truth: and it is He alone who can show [you] the right path.
ദൈവം ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെയും ഒരു ശരീരത്തില് രണ്ട് ഹൃദയവുമായി പടച്ചുവെച്ചിട്ടില്ല: അതുപോലെ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മാതാക്കളുടെ ശരീരം പോലെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ടത് എന്ന് നിങ്ങള് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കാവുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ അവന് (സത്യമായും) നിങ്ങളുടെ മാതാക്കളാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല അതുപോലെ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ദത്തുപുത്രന്മാരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ (യഥാര്ത്ഥ) പുത്രന്മാരുമാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല: ഇതെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ വായകൊണ്ടുള്ള കേവല പ്രയോഗങ്ങള് മാത്രമാകുന്നു- എന്നാല്, ദൈവമാകുന്നു (പരമമായ) സത്യം പറയുന്നവന്: അവന് മാത്രമാകുന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നേരായ പാത കാണിച്ച് തരാന് കഴിവുള്ളവനും.
ٱدْعُوهُمْ لِءَابَآئِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَمَوَٰلِيكُمْ ۚ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌۭ فِيمَآ أَخْطَأْتُم بِهِۦ وَلَٰكِن مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًا﴿٥﴾
[As for your adopted children,] call them by their [real] fathers' names: this is more equitable in the sight of God; and if you know not who their fathers were, [call them] your brethren in faith and your friends. However, you will incur no sin if you err in this respect: [what really matters is] but what your hearts intend - for God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!
(നിങ്ങളുടെ ദത്തുപുത്രന്മാരെ) അവരുടെ (യഥാര്ത്ഥ) പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പേരിലേക്ക് ചേര്ത്ത് വിളിക്കുക: ഇതാണ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുന്നില് ഏറ്റവും ഉചിതമായിട്ടുള്ളത്; ഇനി നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അവരുടെ യഥാര്ത്ഥ പിതാക്കന്മാരാരാണെന്നറിയില്ലെങ്കില്, അവരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസി സഹോദരങ്ങളെന്നും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെന്നും (അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യുക). എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ഇതില് നിനക്ക് അഥവാ തെറ്റുപറ്റിയാലും അതില് നിനക്ക് പാപങ്ങളൊന്നും തന്നെയില്ല നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്ദേശമത്രെ (ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനമായിട്ടുള്ളത്)- എന്തെന്നാല് ദൈവം ഏറ്റവും പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും ദയാനിധിയുമാകുന്നു!
ٱلنَّبِىُّ أَوْلَىٰ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُۥٓ أُمَّهَٰتُهُمْ ۗ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍۢ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ إِلَّآ أَن تَفْعَلُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِكُم مَّعْرُوفًۭا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَسْطُورًۭا﴿٦﴾
The Prophet has a higher claim on the believers than [they have on] their own selves, [seeing that he is as a father to them] and his wives are their mothers: and they who are [thus] closely related have, in accordance with God's decree, a higher claim upon one another than (was even the case between] the believers [of Yathrib] and those who had migrated [there for the sake of God]. None the less, you are to act with utmost goodness towards your [other] close friends as well: this [too] is written down in God's decree.
വിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് (അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം ശരീരത്തേക്കാള്) പ്രധാനം പ്രവാചകനാകുന്നു, (എന്തെന്നാല്, അദ്ദേഹം അവര്ക്ക് പിതാവിനെ പോലയാകുന്നു) അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരാകട്ടെ അവരുടെ മാതാക്കളുമാകുന്നു:തങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത ബന്ധുകള്ക്ക്, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രമാണമനുസരിച്ച്, മറ്റുള്ളവരേക്കാള് കൂടുതല് പരസ്പരം അവകാശമുണ്ട്, (യഥ്രിബിലെ) വിശ്വാസികളും അതുപോലെ (ദൈവത്തിന് വേണ്ടി) ഹിജ്റ ചെയ്തവരും തമ്മിലുള്ളത് പോലെ. എന്തായാലും, നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ മറ്റുള്ള അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തുക്കളോട് ഏറ്റം നന്മയില് വര്ത്തിക്കണം: ഇതും അവന്റെ പ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതപ്പെട്ട കാര്യമത്രെ.
وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ مِيثَٰقَهُمْ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍۢ وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظًۭا﴿٧﴾
AND LO! We did accept a solemn pledge from all the prophets" - from thee, [O Muhammad,] as well as from Noah, and Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary -: for We accepted a most weighty, solemn pledge from [all of] them,
ഓര്ക്കുക! നമ്മള് എല്ലാ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് നിന്നും ദൃഢ പ്രതിജ്ഞ വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു- നിന്നില് നിന്നും (മുഹമ്മദില് നിന്നും) അതുപോലെ തന്നെ, നോഹ, അബ്രഹാം, മോശെ, മര്യമിന്റെ മകന് യേശു എന്നിവരില് നിന്നു- നമ്മളവരില് നിന്നെല്ലാം ദൃഢമായ, കാഠിന്യമേറിയ പ്രതിജ്ഞ വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു,
لِّيَسْـَٔلَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِهِمْ ۚ وَأَعَدَّ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا﴿٨﴾
so that [at the end of time] He might ask those men of truth as to [what response] their truthfulness [had received on earth]. And grievous suffering has He readied for all who deny the truth!
അതിനാല് (അവസാനത്തില്) ഈ സത്യത്തെ മനുഷ്യരോട് അവരുടെ സത്യസന്ധതക്ക് (എന്ത് മറുപടിയാണ് ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നും ലഭിച്ചതെന്നറിയാന്). സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് ഏറെ വേദനനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷയത്രെ നാം ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്!
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَآءَتْكُمْ جُنُودٌۭ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا وَجُنُودًۭا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا﴿٩﴾
O YOU who have attained to faith! Call to mind the blessings which God bestowed on you [at the time] when [enemy] hosts came down upon you, whereupon We let loose against them a stormwind and [heavenly] hosts that you could not see: yet God saw all that you did.
അല്ലയോ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരെ! ദൈവം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുമേല് ചൊരിഞ്ഞ് തന്നിട്ടുള്ള അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങള് ഓര്ക്കുക. നിങ്ങളുടെ (ശത്രുക്കളുടെ) സൈന്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നേരെ ആക്രമണവുമായി വന്നപ്പോള്, അവന് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കാണാനാവാത്ത (സ്വര്ഗീയമായ) ഒരു സൈന്യത്തെയും അവര്ക്ക് നേരെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നിരുന്നാലും നിങ്ങള് ആ സമയം ചെയ്യുന്നതെല്ലാം ദൈവം കാണുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
إِذْ جَآءُوكُم مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَبَلَغَتِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلظُّنُونَا۠﴿١٠﴾
[Remember what you felt] when they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when [your] eyes became dim and [your] hearts came up to [your] throats, and [when] most conflicting thoughts about God passed through your minds:
(ഓര്ക്കുക, നിങ്ങളപ്പോള് അനുഭവിച്ചത്) അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുകളില് നിന്നും താഴെ നിന്നും നിങ്ങളെ ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വന്നപ്പോള്നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകള് മങ്ങുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങള് തൊണ്ടക്കുഴിയിലേക്കെത്തുകയും, അതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വൈരുദ്ധ്യങ്ങള് നിറഞ്ഞ ചിന്തകള് നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സുകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോവുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്:
هُنَالِكَ ٱبْتُلِىَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ زِلْزَالًۭا شَدِيدًۭا﴿١١﴾
[for] there and then were the believers tried, and shaken with a shock severe.
എന്തെന്നാല് ആ സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം വിശ്വാസികള് പരിക്ഷീണിതരാവുകയും, ശക്തമായ ആഘാതങ്ങളാല് വിറപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
وَإِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ مَّا وَعَدَنَا ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ إِلَّا غُرُورًۭا﴿١٢﴾
And [remember how it was] when the hypocrites and those with hearts diseased said [to one another], "God and His Apostle have promised us nothing but delusions!"
പിന്നെ കപടവിശ്വാസികളും രോഗംപിടിച്ച ഹൃദയങ്ങളുള്ളവരും(അന്യോന്യം) ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ് നടന്ന സന്ദര്ഭം (എങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ഓര്ക്കുക), “ദൈവവും അവന്റെ പ്രവാചകനും നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കേവലം മിഥ്യകളല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും ഉറപ്പുനല്കിയിട്ടില്ല” എന്ന്
وَإِذْ قَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَٱرْجِعُوا۟ ۚ وَيَسْتَـْٔذِنُ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُمُ ٱلنَّبِىَّ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بُيُوتَنَا عَوْرَةٌۭ وَمَا هِىَ بِعَوْرَةٍ ۖ إِن يُرِيدُونَ إِلَّا فِرَارًۭا﴿١٣﴾
and when some of them said, "O you people of Yathrib! You cannot withstand [the enemy] here: hence, go back [to your homes]!" - whereupon a party from among them asked leave of the Prophet, saying, "Behold, our houses are exposed [to attack]!" - the while they were not [really] exposed: they wanted nothing but to flee.
അവരില് ചിലര് അപ്പോള് പറഞ്ഞു, “ഹേ യഥ്രിബ് നിവാസികളെ! നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇവിടത്തെ (ശത്രുക്കളോട്) പിടിച്ച് നില്ക്കാന് സാധിക്കുകയില്ല: അതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് (നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലേക്ക്) മടങ്ങിപ്പോവുക!” - അവരില് നിന്ന് തന്നെ മറ്റൊരു കൂട്ടം “ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകള് അക്രമിക്കപ്പെടും” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ്കൊണ്ട് പ്രവാചകനില് നിന്നും മടങ്ങിപോവാനുള്ള അനുമതി ചോദിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി- എന്നാല് എന്നാല് (ശരിയായ ) യഥാര്ത്ഥ്യം ഇതൊന്നുമായിരുന്നില്ല: അവര്ക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോകണമെന്ന ഒരൊറ്റ ലക്ഷ്യം മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ.
وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُئِلُوا۟ ٱلْفِتْنَةَ لَءَاتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوا۟ بِهَآ إِلَّا يَسِيرًۭا﴿١٤﴾
Now if their town had been stormed, and they had been asked [by the enemy] to commit apostasy, [the hypocrites] would have done so without much delay
ഇനി അവരുടെ പട്ടണം കൈയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുകയും മതപരിത്യാഗം ചെയ്യാന് (ശത്രുക്കള്) ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്താല് അധികം താമസമില്ലാതെ തന്നെ അവര് അത് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യും
وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ عَٰهَدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَ ۚ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسْـُٔولًۭا﴿١٥﴾
although ere that they had vowed before God that they would never turn their backs (on His message]: and a vow made to God must surely be answered for!
അവര് (അവന്റെ സന്ദേശത്തില് നിന്നും) പിന്മാറുകയില്ലെന്ന കാര്യത്തില് അവര് നേരത്തെ തന്നെ ദൈവത്തിനോട് സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും: ദൈവത്തിനോട് ചെയ്ത സത്യമാവട്ടെ, നിര്ബന്ധമായും അവര് അതിനെപ്പറ്റി ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നത് തന്നെയാകുന്നു!
قُل لَّن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْفِرَارُ إِن فَرَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ أَوِ ٱلْقَتْلِ وَإِذًۭا لَّا تُمَتَّعُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا﴿١٦﴾
Say: "Whether you flee from [natural] death or from being slain (in battle], flight will not profit you - for, however you fare, you are not (allowed] to enjoy life for more than a little while!"
(പ്രവാചകരേ) അവരോട് പറയുക: “നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ (സ്വാഭാവിക) മരണത്തില് നിന്നും അല്ലെങ്കില് (യുദ്ധത്തിനിടയിലെ) കൊലയില് നിന്നും ഭയന്നോടുകയാണെങ്കില്, ആ ഓട്ടം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് യാതൊരു ലാഭവുമുണ്ടാക്കുകയില്ല, എന്തെന്നാല്, നിങ്ങളെത്ര ഓടിയാലുംഅല്പകാലത്തേക്കല്ലാതെ ഈ ജീവിതം ആസ്വദിക്കാന് നിങ്ങള് (അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല)!”
قُلْ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَعْصِمُكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوٓءًا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةًۭ ۚ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّۭا وَلَا نَصِيرًۭا﴿١٧﴾
Say: "Who is there that could keep you away from God if it be His will to harm you, or if it be His will to show you mercy?" For, (do they not know that] besides God they can find none to protect them, and none to bring them succour?
പറയുക: “നിങ്ങളെ ദൈവത്തില് നിന്നും സംരക്ഷിച്ച് നിര്ത്താന് കഴിവുള്ളവനായിട്ടാരുണ്ട്- അവന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ദോഷം വരുത്തുക എന്നതാണെങ്കില്, അല്ലെങ്കില് അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കാരുണ്യം ചൊരിയാന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്- അത് നിങ്ങളില് നിന്നകറ്റാന് മാത്രം കഴിവുള്ളവനാരുണ്ട്?” എന്തെന്നാല് (അവര്ക്കറിയില്ലേ) ദൈവമല്ലാതെ അവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനായും സഹായിക്കുന്നവനായും ആരെയും അവര്ക്ക് കണ്ടെത്താന് കഴിയില്ലെന്ന്?
۞ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُعَوِّقِينَ مِنكُمْ وَٱلْقَآئِلِينَ لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ هَلُمَّ إِلَيْنَا ۖ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ ٱلْبَأْسَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا﴿١٨﴾
God is indeed aware of those of you who would divert others (from fighting in His cause], as well as of those who say to their brethren, "Come hither to us (and face the enemy)!" - the while they (themselves] join battle but seldom,
(അവന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില് പടപൊരുതുന്നതില് നിന്നും) നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവരെ വഴിപിഴപ്പിക്കുന്നവരെക്കുറിച്ച് ദൈവത്തിന് ഉത്തമബോധ്യമുണ്ട്, അതേപോലെത്ത ന്നെ “ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ വരു(എന്നിട്ട് ശത്രുക്കളെ നേരിടൂ)” എന്ന് തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോട് പറയുകയും, അതേസമയം വളരെ അപൂര്വ്വമായി മാത്രം യുദ്ധത്തില് സ്വയം പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നവരെ,
أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ ٱلْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَٱلَّذِى يُغْشَىٰ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ ٱلْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ فَأَحْبَطَ ٱللَّهُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرًۭا﴿١٩﴾
begrudging you all help. But then, when danger threatens, thou canst see them looking to thee (for help, O Prophet], their eyes rolling (in terror] like (the eyes of] one who is overshadowed by death: yet as soon as the danger has passed, they will assail you (believers] with sharp tongues, begrudging you all that is good! [People like] these have never known faith - and therefore God will cause all their works to come to nought: for this is indeed easy for God.
നിനക്ക് സഹായം ചെയ്യാന് വിമുഖത കാണിക്കുന്നവരെ, എന്നാല്, എന്തെങ്കിലും അപകടത്തിന്റെ ഭീതിയുണ്ടാവുമ്പോള് (പ്രവാചകരേ നിന്നിലേക്ക് സഹായത്തിനുവേണ്ടി) നോക്കുന്നവരെ, മരണഭയത്താല് ഭീതിയോടെ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ (കണ്ണുകളെപ്പോലെ) അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളും (ഭയത്താല്) ചുറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്: എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ആ അപകടം ഒഴിവാകുന്ന പക്ഷം, അവര് മൂര്ച്ചയേറിയ നാവുകള് കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങള് (വിശ്വാസികളെ) അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുകയും, വളരെ താല്പര്യക്കുറവോടെ മാത്രം നിങ്ങളുമായി ഇടപഴകുകയും ചെയ്യും! (ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള ആളുകള്) ഒരിക്കലും വിശ്വാസമെന്തെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല- അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവരുടെ പ്രവര്ത്തികളെയെല്ലാം ദൈവം ശൂന്യമാക്കി തീര്ക്കും; എന്തെന്നാല് അത് ദൈവത്തിന് ഏറെ എളുപ്പമുള്ള കാര്യമാകുന്നു.
يَحْسَبُونَ ٱلْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ ۖ وَإِن يَأْتِ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِى ٱلْأَعْرَابِ يَسْـَٔلُونَ عَنْ أَنۢبَآئِكُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ فِيكُم مَّا قَٰتَلُوٓا۟ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا﴿٢٠﴾
They think that the Confederates have not (really] withdrawn; and should the Confederates return, these (hypocrites] would prefer to be in the desert, among the bedouin, asking for news about you, [O believers, from far away;] and even were they to find themselves in your midst, they would but make a pretence at fighting (by your side].
സഖ്യകക്ഷികളുടെ സേനകള് (യഥാര്ത്ഥത്തില്) പിന്വലിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് അവര് കരുതുന്നു;അവര് ഇനിയും മടങ്ങി വരുകയാണെങ്കില്, (ഓ വിശ്വാസികളെ, നിങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ഏറെ അകലെയായിക്കൊണ്ട്) മരുഭൂമിയിലെ ബദവികളുടെ ഇടയില് പോയിനിന്നുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാര്ത്തകളന്വേഷിക്കാനായിരിക്കും ഇവര് ഈ (കപടവിശ്വാസികള്) താല്പര്യം കാണിക്കുകു, അഥവാ അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കിടയില് തന്നെ നില്ക്കുകയാണെങ്കിലും, (നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗം ചേര്ന്നുകൊണ്ട്) പൊരുതുകയാണെന്ന നാട്യം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക മാത്രമേ ചെയ്യുകയുള്ളൂ
