സബഅ് · Surah 34 of 114 · 54 verses · Makkah
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ﴿١﴾
ALL PRAISE is due to God, to whom all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth belongs; and to Him will be due all praise in the life to come. For He alone is truly wise, all-aware:
എല്ലാ സ്തുതിയും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളതാകുന്നു, അവന്റേതാകുന്നു ആകാശ ഭൂമികളിലുള്ള സര്വതും; വരും ലോകത്തിലും സര്വ്വ സ്തുതിയും അവന് തന്നെ, അവന് തന്നെയാകുന്നു ഏറ്റവും യുക്തിഭദ്രനും സൂക്ഷ്മജ്ഞാനിയും:
يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٱلْغَفُورُ﴿٢﴾
He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He alone is a dispenser of grace, truly-forgiving.
ഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് വരുന്നതും, ഭുമിയില് നിന്നും പുറത്ത് വരുന്നതും അവന് അറിയുന്നു, അതുപോലെ ആകാശങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ഇറങ്ങി വരുന്നതും, ആകാശങ്ങളിലേക്കുയര്ന്നുപോകുന്നതും അവന് അറിയുന്നു. അവന് പരമകാരുണികനും ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനുമത്രെ.
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَا تَأْتِينَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ ۖ قُلْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّى لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَآ أَصْغَرُ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ﴿٣﴾
And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth assert, "Never will the Last Hour come upon us!" Say: "Nay, by my Sustainer! By Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception: it will most certainly come upon you!" Not an atom's weight [of whatever there is] in the heavens or on earth escapes His knowledge; and neither is there anything smaller than that, or larger, but is recorded in [His] clear decree,
എന്നിട്ടും, സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതില് മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നവര് ഉറപ്പിച്ച് പറയും “അന്ത്യദിനം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കുമേല് ഒരിക്കലും വന്നെത്തുകയില്ല!”പറയുക: “അല്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവാണേ, അവന് സൃഷ്ടികളുടെ യുക്തികള്ക്ക് പുറമേയുള്ളതെല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു: അന്ത്യദിനം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് മേല് വന്നെത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും!” ആകാശങ്ങളിലോ ഭൂമികളിലോ ഉള്ള ഒരു അണുമണിത്തൂക്കം വസ്തു പോലും അവന്റെ കണക്കില് നിന്നും വിട്ട്പോയിട്ടില്ല; അതും അതിനേക്കാള് ചെറുതോ, വലുതോ ആയ ഒന്നും അവന്റെ വ്യക്തമായ പുസ്കതത്തില് രേഖപ്പെടുത്താതെ പോയിട്ടുമില്ല.
لِّيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَرِزْقٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ﴿٤﴾
to the end that He may reward those who believe and do rightcous deeds: [for] it is they whom forgiveness of sins awaits, and a most excellent sustenance -
വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും നന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവര്ക്ക് അവന് അന്ത്യനാളില് പ്രതിഫലം നല്കും: പാപമുക്തിയും, വളരെ വിശിഷ്ടമായ വിഭവങ്ങളും അവരെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്-
وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوْ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مُعَٰجِزِينَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌۭ﴿٥﴾
whereas for those who strive against Our messages, seeking to defeat their purpose, there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness.
എന്നാല് നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശങ്ങളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവരുണ്ടല്ലോ, അവരുടെ നീചമായ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള്ക്ക് കഠിനമായ ദുരിതവും അവരെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്
وَيَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ﴿٦﴾
NOW THEY who are endowed with [innate] knowledge are well aware that whatever has been bestowed upon thee from on high by thy Sustainer is indeed the truth, and that it guides onto the way that leads to the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due!
എന്നാല്, മികച്ച വിജ്ഞാനത്താല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് നിനക്ക് മേല് മുകളില് നിന്നും നാഥന് ഇറക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളതെല്ലാം സത്യമാണെന്നും, അത് സകല സ്തുതിക്കുമര്ഹനായ ഏകനിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന മാര്ഗദര്ശനമാണെന്നും ഉത്തമബോധ്യമുള്ളവരാണ്.
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هَلْ نَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍۢ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ إِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍ﴿٧﴾
As against this, they who are bent on denying the truth say [unto all who are of like mind]: "Shall we point out to you a man who will tell you that [after your death,] when you will have been scattered in countless fragments, you shall - lo and behold! - be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?
ഇതിനെതിരെ, സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതില് ഉറച്ച് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവര് പറയുന്നു: “(നിങ്ങളുടെ മരണശേഷം) നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹം അസംഖ്യം കണികകളായി ചിതറിത്തെറിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം നിങ്ങള്- നോക്കുക- പുതിയ സൃഷ്ടിപ്പിലൂടെ പുനര്സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് പറയുന്ന ഒരാളെ ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കാണിച്ചു തരട്ടെ”?
أَفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَم بِهِۦ جِنَّةٌۢ ۗ بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ وَٱلضَّلَٰلِ ٱلْبَعِيدِ﴿٨﴾
Does he [knowingly] attribute his own lying inventions to God - or is he a madman?" Nay, [there is no madness in this Prophet -] but they who will not believe in the life to come are [bound to lose themselves] in suffering and in a profound aberration.
“അവന് (അറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ) അവന്റെ കള്ളങ്ങളെ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് ചേര്ത്തുവെക്കുകയാണോ- അതോ അവര് വെറുമൊരു ഭ്രാന്തനാണോ?” ഇല്ല ,( ഈ പ്രവാചകനില് യാതൊരു ഭ്രാന്തുമില്ല) എന്നാല് വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ഐഹിക ലോകത്തില് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര് നിശ്ചയമായും വഴികേടിലും ദുരിതത്തിലുമത്രെ!
أَفَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِن نَّشَأْ نَخْسِفْ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ نُسْقِطْ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّكُلِّ عَبْدٍۢ مُّنِيبٍۢ﴿٩﴾
Are they, then, not aware of how little of the sky and the earth lies open before them, and how much is hidden from them? - [or that,] if We so willed, We could cause the earth to swallow them, or cause fragments of the sky to fall down upon them? In all this, behold, there is a message indeed for every servant [of God] who is wont to turn unto Him [in repentance].
എന്നിട്ടും, ആകാശത്തിന്റെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും വളരെക്കുറച്ച് ഭാഗങ്ങള് മാത്രമേ അവര്ക്ക് വെളിവാക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളൂ എന്നും എത്രമാത്രം അവരില് നിന്നും മറച്ചുനിര്ത്തപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന കാര്യത്തിലും ഇവര് ബോധവാന്മാരല്ലേ?” (അല്ലെങ്കില്) നാം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് ഭൂമിയെക്കൊണ്ട് അവരെ വിഴുങ്ങാന് സാധിക്കും, ആകാശങ്ങളെ ചിതറിത്തെറിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ മേല്ക്ക് പതിപ്പിക്കാനും സാധിക്കും ഇതിലെല്ലാം, ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് (പാപമോചനം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട്) മടങ്ങുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ അടിമകള്ക്കും വ്യക്തമായ സന്ദേശമുണ്ട്
۞ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ مِنَّا فَضْلًۭا ۖ يَٰجِبَالُ أَوِّبِى مَعَهُۥ وَٱلطَّيْرَ ۖ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ ٱلْحَدِيدَ﴿١٠﴾
AND [thus], indeed, did We grace David with Our favour: "O you mountains! Sing with him the praise of God! And [likewise] you birds!" And We softened all sharpness in him,
നാം നിശ്ചയമായും ദാവീദിന് മഹത്തായ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള് നല്കി: “പര്വതങ്ങളേ, പക്ഷികളേ! നിങ്ങളിവനോടൊപ്പം ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തുതി പാടുക!” അവന് നാം കാഠിന്യമേറിയ ഇരുമ്പിനെ മിനുസപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു,
أَنِ ٱعْمَلْ سَٰبِغَٰتٍۢ وَقَدِّرْ فِى ٱلسَّرْدِ ۖ وَٱعْمَلُوا۟ صَٰلِحًا ۖ إِنِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ﴿١١﴾
[and inspired him thus:] "Do good deeds lavishly, without stint, and give deep thought to their steady flow." And [thus should you all, O believers,] do righteous deeds: for, verily, I see all that you do!
(എന്നിട്ടവനോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു): “നീ യഥേഷ്ടം സല്ക്കര്മങ്ങള്, അളവുകളില്ലാതെ, അവയുടെ കൃത്യമായ ഒഴുക്കിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ആഴത്തില് ചിന്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.” എന്നിട്ട് (എല്ലാവരോടുമായി, അല്ലയോ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരേ) നിങ്ങള് നന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുക: എന്തെന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം വ്യക്തമായി കാണുന്നവനാകുന്നു ഞാന്!
وَلِسُلَيْمَٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌۭ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌۭ ۖ وَأَسَلْنَا لَهُۥ عَيْنَ ٱلْقِطْرِ ۖ وَمِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ مَن يَعْمَلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِۦ ۖ وَمَن يَزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ أَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ﴿١٢﴾
AND UNTO Solomon (We made subservient] the wind: its morning course [covered the distance of] a month's journey, and its evening course, a month's journey. And We caused a fountain of molten copper to flow at his behest; and [even] among the invisible beings there were some that had [been constrained] to labour for him 16 by his Sustainer's leave and whichever of them deviated from Our command, him would We let taste suffering through a blazing flame -:
സുലൈമാനാവട്ടെ, നാം കാറ്റിനെ (അധീനപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു): അതിന്റെ പ്രഭാത പ്രവാഹം ഒരു മാസത്തെ യാത്രയുടെ (ദൂരത്തോളം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു), അതിന്റെ പ്രദോഷ പ്രവാഹവും ഒരു മാസത്തെ യാത്രയുടെ ദൂരം തന്നെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു . ഉരുക്കിയ ചെമ്പിന്റെ ഒരു നീരുറവ തന്നെ നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അനുവദിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു; നഗ്നനേത്രങ്ങള് കൊണ്ട് കാണാന് പറ്റാത്ത ചില സൃഷ്ടികളെ വരെ (ജിന്നുകളെ) നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് വേണ്ടി അധ്വാനിക്കുന്നവരാക്കി മാറ്റിക്കൊടുത്തു അവരിലാരെങ്കിലും നമ്മുടെ കല്പനകളില് നിന്നും വ്യതിചലിച്ചു പോയാല്, ആളി കത്തുന്ന നരകാഗ്നിയുടെ രുചി നാം അവനെ അറിയിക്കുന്നതാകുന്നു-:
يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُۥ مَا يَشَآءُ مِن مَّحَٰرِيبَ وَتَمَٰثِيلَ وَجِفَانٍۢ كَٱلْجَوَابِ وَقُدُورٍۢ رَّاسِيَٰتٍ ۚ ٱعْمَلُوٓا۟ ءَالَ دَاوُۥدَ شُكْرًۭا ۚ وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِىَ ٱلشَّكُورُ﴿١٣﴾
they made for him whatever he wished of sanctuaries, and statues, and basins as [large as] great watering-troughs, and cauldrons firmly anchored. [And We said:] "Labour, O David's people, in gratitude [towards Me] 18 - and [remember that] few are the truly grateful [even] among My servants!"
അവര് അവന് അവനാഗ്രഹിച്ചതെല്ലാം നിര്മിച്ചുനല്കി- ഉദ്യാനങ്ങള്, പ്രതിമകള്, വലിയ ജലതടാകങ്ങള്, ആഴത്തില് ഉറപ്പിച്ച് വെച്ച കലങ്ങള്- (എന്നിട്ട് നാം പറഞ്ഞു): “ദാവീദ് വംശമേ, (എന്നോടുള്ള) നന്ദിയോടെ നിങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുക, എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരില് (പോലും) വ്യക്തമായ നന്ദിയുള്ളവര് വളരെ തുച്ഛമത്രെ!”
فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ ٱلْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَوْتِهِۦٓ إِلَّا دَآبَّةُ ٱلْأَرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُۥ ۖ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ ٱلْجِنُّ أَن لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ﴿١٤﴾
Yet (even Solomon had to die; but] when We decreed that he should die, nothing showed them that he was dead except an earthworm that gnawed away his staff. And when he fell to the ground, those invisible beings [subservient to him] saw clearly that, had they but understood the reality which was beyond the reach of their perception, they would not have continued [to toil] in the shameful suffering [of servitude].
എന്നിട്ടും, (സുലൈമാന് വരെ മരണത്തെ വരിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു, പക്ഷെ) അദ്ദേഹം മരിക്കണമെന്ന് നാം വിധിച്ചപ്പോള്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അധികാരദണ്ഡ് കാര്ന്ന് തിന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ചിതലുകള്ക്കല്ലാതെ മറ്റാര്ക്കും അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചെന്ന കാര്യം വ്യക്തമായില്ല. അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം നിലത്തേക്ക് വീണപ്പോള്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ (ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്ന) ജിന്നുകള്ക്ക് വ്യക്തമായി മനസ്സിലായി, അവരുടെ ഗ്രാഹ്യശക്തിക്ക് അപ്പുറത്തുള്ള യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യം അവര്ക്ക് മനസ്സിലായിരുന്നെങ്കില് ഇങ്ങനെ നാണംകെട്ട രീതിയിലുള്ള (അധ്വാനം) അവര് തുടരുകയുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല എന്ന്
لَقَدْ كَانَ لِسَبَإٍۢ فِى مَسْكَنِهِمْ ءَايَةٌۭ ۖ جَنَّتَانِ عَن يَمِينٍۢ وَشِمَالٍۢ ۖ كُلُوا۟ مِن رِّزْقِ رَبِّكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لَهُۥ ۚ بَلْدَةٌۭ طَيِّبَةٌۭ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٌۭ﴿١٥﴾
INDEED, in [the luxuriant beauty of] their homeland, the people of Sheba had an evidence [of God's grace] - two [vast expanses of] gardens, to the right and to the left, [calling out to them, as it were:] "Eat of what your Sustainer has provided for you, and render thanks unto Him: a land most goodly, and a Sustainer much-forgiving!"
നിശ്ചയമായും, അവരുടെ ജന്മനാടിന്റെ (അതിവിശിഷ്ടമായ സൗന്ദര്യത്തില്) സബഇിലെ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു - അവരുടെ ഇടത്തും വലത്തുമായി (വലിയ വിസ്താരമുള്ള) രണ്ട് തോട്ടങ്ങള്: (അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയപ്പെട്ടു:) “നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നല്കിയതില് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക, അവന് നന്ദി ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുക: വിശിഷ്ടമായ പ്രദേശവും, ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്ന ഒരു രക്ഷിതാവും!”
فَأَعْرَضُوا۟ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ ٱلْعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلْنَٰهُم بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَوَاتَىْ أُكُلٍ خَمْطٍۢ وَأَثْلٍۢ وَشَىْءٍۢ مِّن سِدْرٍۢ قَلِيلٍۢ﴿١٦﴾
But they turned away [from Us], and so We let loose upon them a flood that overwhelmed the dams, and changed their two [expanses of luxuriant] gardens into a couple of gardens yielding bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few [wild] lote-trees:
എന്നാലവര് (നമ്മില് നിന്നും) മുഖം തിരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു, അതുകൊണ്ട് നാം അവരുടെ അണക്കെട്ടുകളെ തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞ ഒരു വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തെ അവര്ക്ക് നേരെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു നേരത്തെ അവര്ക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വിശിഷ്ടമായ തോട്ടങ്ങള്ക്ക് പകരം കയ്പ്പുള്ള കനികളും, കുറച്ച് കാട്ടു ചെടികളും ഇലന്തവൃക്ഷങ്ങളുമുള്ള തോട്ടമാക്കി മാറ്റുകയും ചെയ്തു:
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَٰهُم بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ وَهَلْ نُجَٰزِىٓ إِلَّا ٱلْكَفُورَ﴿١٧﴾
thus We requited them for their having denied the truth. But do We ever requite [thus] any but the utterly ingrate?
അങ്ങനെ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിച്ചതിന് നാം അവര്ക്ക് അര്ഹമായ പ്രതിഫലം നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല് വ്യക്തമായും നന്ദികേട് കാണിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കല്ലാതെ നാം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള പ്രതിഫലം നല്കുന്നതല്ല
وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْقُرَى ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا قُرًۭى ظَٰهِرَةًۭ وَقَدَّرْنَا فِيهَا ٱلسَّيْرَ ۖ سِيرُوا۟ فِيهَا لَيَالِىَ وَأَيَّامًا ءَامِنِينَ﴿١٨﴾
() Now [before their downfall,] We had placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [many] towns within sight of one another; and thus We had made travelling easy [for them, as if to say]: "Travel safely in this [land], by night or by day!"
(അവരുടെ തകര്ച്ചക്ക് മുന്നേ) നാം അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച നഗരങ്ങളെയും അവരെയും മറ്റനേകം നഗരങ്ങളെയും പരസ്പരം കാണാവുന്ന പരിധിയിലായിരുന്നു സ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നത്; അങ്ങനെ നാം (അവര്ക്കിടയിലെ) യാത്ര എളുപ്പമാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു: “നിങ്ങള് ഈ ഭൂമിയില്, രാത്രിയിലോ പകലോ ആവട്ടെ, നിര്ഭയരായി സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക”
فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا بَٰعِدْ بَيْنَ أَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقْنَٰهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍۢ شَكُورٍۢ﴿١٩﴾
But now they would say, "Long has our Sustainer made the distance between our journey-stages !" for they had sinned against themselves. And in the end We caused them to become [one of those] tales [of things long past], and scattered them in countless fragments. Herein, behold, there are messages indeed for all who are wholly patient in adversity and deeply grateful [to God].
എന്നാല് അവരിപ്പോള് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു, “ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ യാത്രാദൂരങ്ങള് വര്ധിപ്പിച്ചു!” എന്തെന്നാല് അവര് അവരോട് തന്നെ പാപങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഒടുക്കം, നാം അവരെ (പറഞ്ഞ് പഴകിയ) കഥകളിലെൊന്നാക്കി മാറ്റുകയും, ചിന്നിചിതറിച്ചുകളയുകയും ചെയ്തു. നിശ്ചയമായും, പ്രതികൂല സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിലും ക്ഷമ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവര്ക്കും അല്ലാഹുവിനോട് നന്ദിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ഇതില് ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങലുണ്ട്.
وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُۥ فَٱتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٢٠﴾
Now, indeed, Iblis did prove that his opinion of them had been right: for [when he called them,] they followed him - all but some of the believers [among them].
അങ്ങനെ, അവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള തന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം ശരിയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ഇബ്ലീസ് തെളിയിച്ചു: എന്തെന്നാല് (അവന് അവരെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോള്) - കുറച്ച് സത്യവിശ്വാസികളൊഴികെ, മറ്റെല്ലാവരും അവനെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു.
