സ്വാദ് · Surah 38 of 114 · 88 verses · Makkah
صٓ ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ذِى ٱلذِّكْرِ﴿١﴾
Sad.' CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember!
സ്വാദ്. (നിങ്ങള് പരിഗണിക്കുക) സ്മരണകൾ നിറഞ്ഞ ഈ ഖുർആനാണ!
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى عِزَّةٍۢ وَشِقَاقٍۢ﴿٢﴾
But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong.
പക്ഷെ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുകയും ദുരഭിമാനത്തിൽ മുഴുകുകയും ചെയ്തവരാരോ, അവർ തീർച്ചയായും ആഴമേറിയ തെറ്റുകളിൽ പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു
كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍۢ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍۢ﴿٣﴾
How many a generation have We destroyed before their time (for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape!
എത്രയെത്ര തലമുറകളെയാണ് നാം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് (ഇതേ പാപത്തിന്) നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്! രക്ഷപ്പെടുക എന്നത് അസാധ്യമായപ്പോൾ അവർ വിളിച്ചു (രക്ഷക്കപേക്ഷിച്ചു)!
وَعَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا سَٰحِرٌۭ كَذَّابٌ﴿٤﴾
Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: "A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar!
തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ന് തന്നെ തങ്ങൾക്കൊരു മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകാരൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന കാര്യം ഈ ജനത വളരെ വിചിത്രമായി കരുതുന്നു- അങ്ങനെ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവർ പറയുന്നു: “അവൻ കേവലമൊരു ആഭിചാരകൻ മാത്രമാകുന്നു, വലിയ കള്ളം പറയുന്നവനും!
أَجَعَلَ ٱلْءَالِهَةَ إِلَٰهًۭا وَٰحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ عُجَابٌۭ﴿٥﴾
Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!"
നമ്മുടെ എല്ലാ ആരാധനാ മൂർത്തികൾക്കും പകരം ഒരേയൊരു ദൈവം മാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ എന്നാണോ അവൻ പറയുന്നത്? നിശ്ചയമായും, അത് ഏറെ അസാധാരണമായ കാര്യമത്രെ!
وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ ٱمْشُوا۟ وَٱصْبِرُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىْءٌۭ يُرَادُ﴿٦﴾
And their leaders launch forth [thus]: "Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do!
അവരുടെ നേതാക്കന്മാർ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞുപോയി: “നിങ്ങൾ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുക, നിങ്ങളുടെ ആരാധനാ മൂർത്തികളിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക. ഇത് തന്നെയാണ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ഒരേയൊരു കാര്യം!
مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِى ٱلْمِلَّةِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا ٱخْتِلَٰقٌ﴿٧﴾
Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention!
നമ്മുടെ മുൻകാലങ്ങളിലൊന്നും നമ്മൾ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു വിശ്വാസത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് കേട്ടിട്ടേയില്ല. ഇത് (നശ്വരനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ) കണ്ടുപിടുത്തമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല!
أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّن ذِكْرِى ۖ بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ﴿٨﴾
What! Upon him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed from on high?" Nay, but it is My Own reminder that they distrust! Nay, they have not yet tasted the suffering which I do impose!
എന്ത്! നമ്മൾക്കെല്ലാവർക്കുമിടയിൽ നിന്നും ഇവനാണോ ആകാശത്തു നിന്നുമുള്ള ദിവ്യസന്ദേശം ലഭിക്കുന്നത്? അല്ല, അവർ ഇത് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നത് എനിക്കറിയുന്ന കാര്യമത്രെ!നമ്മുടെ ശിക്ഷയുടെ രുചി ഇവരിതുവരെ അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ടാണിത്!
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْوَهَّابِ﴿٩﴾
Or do they [think that they] own the treasures of thy Sustainer's grace [the grace] of the Almighty, the Giver of Gifts?
പ്രതാപവാനും, അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ചൊരിയുന്നവനുമായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ നിധികൂമ്പാരങ്ങൾ ഇവരുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയാണ് എന്നാണോ ഇവർ കരുതുന്നത്?
أَمْ لَهُم مُّلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ فَلْيَرْتَقُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَسْبَٰبِ﴿١٠﴾
Or [that] the dominion over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? Why, then, let them try to ascend [to God-like power] by all [conceivable] means!
അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമികളുടെയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ളതിന്റെയും അധികാരം ഇവരുടെ കൈകളിലാണ് എന്നോ? അങ്ങനെയാണെങ്കിൽ , അവരോട് അവർക്ക് (സാധിക്കുന്ന) രീതിയിൽ ഈ (ദൈവികാധികാരത്തിന്റെ) ഉന്നതങ്ങളിലൊന്നു കയറി നോക്കാൻ പറയൂ!
جُندٌۭ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ﴿١١﴾
[But] there it is: any and all human beings, however [strongly] leagued together, are bound to suffer defeat [whenever they refuse to accept the truth].
പക്ഷെ നിശ്ചയമായും, ഏതൊരു മനുഷ്യനും അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരും എത്ര തന്നെ ശക്തരാണെങ്കിലും, എത്ര ശക്തിയിൽ ഒരുമിച്ച് കൂടിയാലും (അവർ സത്യത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ വിസമ്മതിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ) പരാജയം സംഭവിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നവരാകുന്നു.
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٌۭ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ﴿١٢﴾
To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and (the tribe of] 'Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles,
ഇവർക്ക് മുമ്പ്, നോഹയുടെ ജനതയും, ആദ് സമൂഹവും, നിരവധി സ്തംഭങ്ങള്ക്കുടയവനായ ഫറവോനും
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ﴿١٣﴾
and [the tribe of] Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan]: they all were leagued together, [as it were, in their unbelief:]
സമൂദ് ഗോത്രവും, ലോത്തിന്റെ സമുദായവും, മദ്യനിലെ ജനങ്ങളും ഇതിനെ നിഷേധിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളവരാണ്.
إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ﴿١٤﴾
not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due.
അവരിലെല്ലാവരും ദൈവദൂതന്മാരെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുകയുണ്ടായി - അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ എന്റെ ശിക്ഷ അവർക്കു മേൽ വന്നെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍۢ﴿١٥﴾
And they [who now deny the truth - they, too,] have but to wait for one single blast [of punishment to overtake them]: it shall not be delayed a whit.
അങ്ങനെ (സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്ന) അവർ (ശിക്ഷ അവർക്കുമേൽ വന്നു പതിക്കുന്നതിന്) ഒരൊറ്റ ഘോരശബ്ദത്തെ കാത്തുനില്ക്കുകയേ വേണ്ടതുള്ളു; അതൊട്ടും വൈകുകയുമില്ല.
وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ﴿١٦﴾
As it is, they say [mockingly]: "O our Sustainer! Hasten on to us our share [of punishment even] before the Day of Reckornng!"
അങ്ങനെ, അവർ (പരിഹാസസ്വരത്തിൽ) പറയുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ: “ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ! വിധിപറയുന്ന ദിവസത്തിനു മുമ്പ് തന്നെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ (ശിക്ഷയുടെ) പങ്ക് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വേഗം നല്കുക" എന്ന്!
ٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ﴿١٧﴾
[But] bear thou with patience whatever they may say, and remember Our servant David, him who was endowed with [so much] inner strength! He, verily, would always turn unto Us:
പക്ഷേ, അവരെന്ത് പറഞ്ഞാലും നീയത് ക്ഷമിക്കുക. ഓർക്കുക, നമ്മുടെ ദാസനായിരുന്ന ദാവീദിന് നാം വളരെയധികം ഉൾക്കരുത്ത് നല്കിയിരുന്നു! അദ്ദേഹം, നിശ്ചയമായും, നിരന്തരം എന്നിലേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു;
إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا ٱلْجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِشْرَاقِ﴿١٨﴾
[and for this,] behold, We caused the mountains to join him in extolling Our limitless glory at eventide and at sunrise,
നോക്കുക, സൂര്യോദയ സമയത്തും അസ്തമയ സമയത്തും നമ്മുടെ സങ്കീർത്തനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടി നാം പർവതങ്ങളെ അവനോടൊപ്പം സംവിധാനിച്ചിരുന്നു.
وَٱلطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةًۭ ۖ كُلٌّۭ لَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌۭ﴿١٩﴾
and [likewise] the birds in their assemblies: [together] they all would turn again and again unto Him [who had created them].
അതുപോലെ, പറവകളേയും കൂട്ടത്തോടെ (വിധേയമാക്കി); (അങ്ങനെ ഒരുമിച്ച്) ഇവയെല്ലാം അവനെ സങ്കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്യുന്നതില് നിരതരാവുമായിരുന്നു.
وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ﴿٢٠﴾
And We strengthened his dominidn, and bestowed upon him wisdom and sagacity in judgment.
നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആധിപത്യം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് വിവേകവും വിധിപറയുന്നതിൽ നൈപുണ്യവും നല്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
