حمٓ﴿١﴾
Ha. Min.
ഹാ മീം.
تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ﴿٢﴾
HE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation) issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace:
ആകാശങ്ങളില് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് (ഈ വേദഗ്രന്ഥം) ഇറക്കി നല്കിയ അവന് ഏറെ കാരുണാനിധിയും കാരുണ്യവാനുമാകുന്നു:
كِتَٰبٌۭ فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ﴿٣﴾
a divine writ, the messages whereof have been clearly spelled out as a discourse in the Arabic tongue for people of [innate] knowledge,
സന്ദേശങ്ങളെല്ലാം അറബിഭാഷയില് വ്യക്തമായി വിശദീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധ ഗ്രന്ഥം, (സഹജമായ) ധാരണയുള്ള ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി.
بَشِيرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ﴿٤﴾
to be a herald of glad tidings as well as a warning. And yet, [whenever this divine writ is offered to men,] most of them turn away, so that they cannot hear fits message);
സന്തോഷവാര്ത്തകളുടെ സുവിശേഷമറിയിക്കാനും അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ഒരു മുന്നറിയിപ്പായും. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, (മനുഷ്യര്ക്ക് ഈ വേദഗ്രന്ഥം നല്കപ്പെടുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം) അവരില് ഭൂരിഭാഗം പേരും പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നു, അതിന്റെ സന്ദേശം കേള്ക്കാതിരിക്കാന് വേണ്ടി.
وَقَالُوا۟ قُلُوبُنَا فِىٓ أَكِنَّةٍۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِنَا وَقْرٌۭ وَمِنۢ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌۭ فَٱعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَٰمِلُونَ﴿٥﴾
and so they say, [as it were:] "Our hearts are veiled from whatever thou callest us to, [O Muhammad,] and in our ears is deafness, and between us and thee is a barrier. Do, then, [whatever thou wilt, whereas,] behold, we shall do [as we have always done]!"
കൂടാതെ അവര് പറയുന്നു: “നീ (അല്ലയോ മുഹമ്മദ്) ഞങ്ങളെ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നതില് നിന്നും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങള് മൂടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാതുകള് ബധിരമാക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നമുക്കിടയിലാകട്ടെ, ഒരു മറയുണ്ട് താനും. അതുകൊണ്ട്, (നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത് നീ ചെയ്യുക) നോക്കുക, ഞങ്ങള് (ഞങ്ങള് ചെയ്തുപോന്നിരുന്നതൊക്കെ) ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യും!”
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ وَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ﴿٦﴾
Say thou, [O Prophet:] "I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!" And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him,
(അല്ലയോ പ്രവാചകരേ) പറയുക: “ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ പോലെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് മാത്രമാകുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം ഏകനാണെന്ന് എനിക്ക് ദിവ്യബോധനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു: അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങള് അവനിലേകുള്ള പാതയില് പോവുകയും അവന്റെ പാപമോചനം തേടുകയും ചെയ്യുക!” എന്നാല് അവനെ കൂടാതെ ഉള്ളവരില് ദിവ്യത്വം ആരോപിക്കുകയും,
ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ﴿٧﴾
[and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come!
അതുപോലെ ദാനം നല്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്ക് നാശം. എന്തെന്നാല്, അവര് (അങ്ങനെ) വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതമെന്ന സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്!
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ﴿٨﴾
[But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending!
(പക്ഷെ,) വിശ്വാസമാർജിക്കുകയും സല്ക്കര്മങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവര്ക്ക് അവസാനിക്കാത്ത പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ട്!
۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿٩﴾
SAY: "Would you indeed deny Him who has created the earth in two aeons? And do you claim that there is any power that could rival Him, the Sustainer of all the worlds?"
പറയുക: “രണ്ട് യുഗങ്ങളിലായി ഈ ഭൂമിയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനെ നിങ്ങള് നിഷേധിക്കുമെന്നാണോ? അവനെ എതിരിടാന് പോന്ന ശക്തികളുണ്ടെന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടുകയുമാണോ നിങ്ങള്, ഈ ലോകങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ അവനെ?”
وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَٰرَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَآ أَقْوَٰتَهَا فِىٓ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍۢ سَوَآءًۭ لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ﴿١٠﴾
For He [it is who, after creating the earth,] placed firm mountains on it, [towering] above its surface, and bestowed [so many] blessings on it, and equitably apportioned its means of subsistence to all who would seek it: [and all this He created] in four aeons.
അവന് (ഭൂമിയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചശേഷം അവനാകുന്നു) അതിന്റെ മുകളില് പര്വതങ്ങളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിര്ത്തിയത്, അതിന്റെ പ്രതലത്തില് നിന്നും (ഉയര്ന്നുനില്ക്കുന്നതായിട്ട്), അങ്ങനെ അതില് (ഒട്ടനവധി) അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള് ചൊരിയുകയും ചെയ്തു, അതിലെ ഉപജീവനമാര്ഗങ്ങളെ തേടുന്നവര്ക്കെല്ലാം ലഭിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില് തുല്യമായി വീതംവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു: (ഇതെല്ലാം അവന് നാല് യുഗങ്ങള് കൊണ്ട് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു.
ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌۭ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ٱئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًۭا قَالَتَآ أَتَيْنَا طَآئِعِينَ﴿١١﴾
And He [it is who] applied His design to the skies, which were [yet but] smoke; and He [it is who] said to them and to the earth, "Come [into being], both of you, willingly or unwillingly!" - to which both responded, "We do come in obedience."
കൂടാതെ അവനാകുന്നു ആകാശങ്ങളില് അലങ്കാരപ്പണികള് ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചത്, കേവലമായ പുക മാത്രമായിരുന്നതില് നിന്നും; അവനാകുന്നു ആകാശത്തോടും ഭൂമിയോടും "നിങ്ങള് ഇരുവരും ഉണ്മയിലേക്ക് വരിക, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇച്ഛപ്രകാരമാണെങ്കിലും അല്ലെങ്കിലും" എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത്, അതിന് അവര് ഇങ്ങനെ മറുപടി നല്കി: ഞങ്ങളിതാ വിധേയത്വത്തോടെ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു."
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَاتٍۢ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِى كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ أَمْرَهَا ۚ وَزَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَحِفْظًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ﴿١٢﴾
And He [it is who] decreed that they become seven heavens in two aeons, and imparted unto each heaven its function. And We adorned the skies nearest to the earth with lights, and made them secure: such is the ordaining of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
കൂടാതെ, അവനാകുന്നു അവ ഏഴ് സ്വര്ഗങ്ങളാകട്ടെ എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചത്, രണ്ട് നാളുകളിലായി. ഒരോ സ്വര്ഗത്തിനും അതിന്റേതായ കര്ത്തവ്യങ്ങളും നല്കി. നാം ഭൂമിയോട് ഏറ്റവും ചേര്ന്ന് കിടക്കുന്ന ആകാശത്തെ വെളിച്ചത്താല് അലങ്കരിക്കുകയും, അതിനെ സുരക്ഷിതമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതെല്ലാം സര്വശക്തനും സര്വജ്ഞനുമായവന്റെ കല്പനകളാകുന്നു.
فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا۟ فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَٰعِقَةًۭ مِّثْلَ صَٰعِقَةِ عَادٍۢ وَثَمُودَ﴿١٣﴾
BUT IF they turn away, say: "I warn you of [the coming of] a thunderbolt of punishment like the thunderbolt [that fell upon the tribes] of 'Ad and Thamud!"
പക്ഷെ അവര് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുകയാണെങ്കില്, പറയുക: “മിന്നല്പിണര് പോലെ വന്നുപതിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശിക്ഷയുടെ (വരവിനെ കുറിച്ച്) ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കുന്നു. ആദ് ഗോത്രത്തിനും ഥമൂദ് ഗോത്രത്തിനും (മേല്) വന്ന് പതിച്ചത് പോലൊന്ന്!”
إِذْ جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلرُّسُلُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَٰٓئِكَةًۭ فَإِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ﴿١٤﴾
Lo! There came unto them [God's] apostles, speaking of what lay open before them and what was [still) beyond their ken, [and calling unto them,] "Worship none but God!" They answered: "If our Sustainer had willed [us to believe in what you say], He would have sent down angels [as His message-bearers] 20, As it is, behold, we deny that there is any truth in what you [claim to] have been sent with!"
നോക്കുക, അവരിലേക്ക് (ദൈവത്തിന്റെ) പ്രവാചകന്മാര് വന്നെത്തുകയുണ്ടായി, അവര്ക്ക് മുന്നിലുള്ളതിനെ കുറിച്ചും അവരുടെ ചിന്താപരിധിക്കപ്പുറത്തുള്ളതിനെയും കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, (കൂടാതെ അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു) “ദൈവത്തെയല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരെയും ആരാധിക്കാതിരിക്കുക!” അവര് ഇങ്ങനെ ഉത്തരം നല്കി: “ (നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതില് ഞങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കണമെന്ന്) ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ഇച്ഛിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്, അവന് (അവന്റെ സന്ദേശവാഹകരായി) മാലാഖമാരെ അയക്കുമായിരുന്നു. , അതുകൊണ്ട്, നോക്കുക, നിങ്ങള് അയക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് പറയുന്നതില് എന്തെങ്കിലും സത്യമുണ്ടെന്ന കാര്യം ഞങ്ങള് നിഷേധിക്കുന്നു!”
فَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ﴿١٥﴾
Now as for [the tribe of) 'Ad, they walked arrogantly on earth, [offending] against all right, and saying, "Who could have a power greater than ours?" Why - were they, then, not aware that God, who created them, had a power greater than theirs? But they went on rejecting Our messages;
ഇനി ആദ് സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ കാര്യമെടുത്താല്, അവര് ഭൂമിയിലൂടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തോട് കൂടെ നടന്നു, അതിന്റെ എല്ലാ ന്യായങ്ങള്ക്കുമെതിരെ അതിക്രമം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, എന്നിട്ടവരിങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞങ്ങളേക്കാള് ശക്തരായവര് ആരുണ്ട്?” എന്തുകൊണ്ട്- അവരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ദൈവത്തിന് അവരേക്കാള് ശക്തിയുണ്ടെന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് ധാരണയുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലേ? എന്നിട്ടും അവര് നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശങ്ങളെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതില് മുഴുകിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا صَرْصَرًۭا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍۢ نَّحِسَاتٍۢ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ﴿١٦﴾
and thereupon We let loose upon them a stormwind raging through days of misfortune, so as to give them, in the life of this world, a foretaste of suffering through humiliation: but [their] suffering in the life to come will be far more humiliating, and they will have none to succour them.
അങ്ങനെ ചില ദൌര്ഭാഗ്യദിനങ്ങള് നീണ്ടുനിന്ന ഒരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ നാം അവരിലേക്ക് അയച്ചുവിട്ടു, ഈ ലോകത്തില് അപമാനകരമായ ദുരിതത്തിന്റെ ഒരു രുചി അവര്ക്കു നല്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി: പക്ഷെ, വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതത്തില് അവരുടെ ദുരിതം ഇതിലും നാണം കെടുത്തുന്നതായിരിക്കും, അവിടെ അവര്ക്ക് സഹായിയായി ആരും തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാവുകയുമില്ല.
وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ﴿١٧﴾
And as for [the tribe of] Thamud, We offered them guidance, but they chose blindness in preference to guidance: and so the thunderbolt of shameful suffering fell upon them as an outcome of all [the evil] that they had wrought;
സമൂദ് ഗോത്രത്തിന്റെ കാര്യമാണെങ്കിലോ, നാം അവര്ക്ക് മാര്ഗദര്ശനം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തു, പക്ഷെ അവര് മാര്ഗദര്ശനത്തിന് പകരം അന്ധകാരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു: അങ്ങനെ മിന്നല്പിണര് പോലെയുള്ള നിന്ദ്യമായ ശിക്ഷ അവരുടെ മേല് വന്നെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു, അവര് ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയ എല്ലാത്തിന്റെയും (എല്ലാ തിന്മകളുടെയും) പ്രതിഫലമായിട്ട്;
وَنَجَّيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ﴿١٨﴾
and We saved [only] those who had attained to faith and were conscious of Us.
വിശ്വാസം കൈകൊള്ളുകയും നമ്മെ കുറിച്ച് ബോധവാന്മാരായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരെ (മാത്രമെ) നാം രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തിയുള്ളൂ.
وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَآءُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ﴿١٩﴾
Hence, [warn all men of] the Day when the enemies of God shall be gathered together before the fire, and then shall be driven onward,
അതുകൊണ്ട് (എല്ലാവര്ക്കും നീ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കുക) ദാൈവത്തിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെല്ലാവരും നരകത്തിന് മുമ്പില് ഒരുമിച്ച് കൂട്ടപ്പെടുകയും, അതിലേക്ക് അവരെ തള്ളിവിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ദിവസത്തെ കുറിച്ച്,
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
till, when they come close to it, their hearing and their sight and their [very] skins will bear witness against them, speaking of what they were doing [on earth].
അതിന്റെ അരികിലേക്ക് അവര് എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നത് വരെ, അവരുടെ കേള്വിയും കാഴ്ച്ചയും അവരുടെ ചര്മങ്ങള് വരെ അവര്ക്കെതിരെ സാക്ഷി പറയുന്നു, അവര് (ഭൂമിയില്) പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച്.
