حمٓ﴿١﴾
Ha. Mim.
ഹാ. മീം
تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ﴿٢﴾
THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ I issues from God, the Almighty, the Wise.
പ്രതാപശാലിയും യുക്തിമാനുമായ ദൈവത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അവതരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണ് ഈ വേദഗ്രന്ഥം.
إِنَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٣﴾
Behold, in the heavens as well as on earth there are indeed messages for all who [are willing to] believe.
തീർച്ചയായും ആകാശങ്ങളിലും ഭൂമിയിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് നിരവധി ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട്.
وَفِى خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِن دَآبَّةٍ ءَايَٰتٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ﴿٤﴾
And in your own nature, and in [that of] all the animals which He scatters [over the earth] there are messages for people who are endowed with inner certainty.
നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം സൃഷ്ടിപ്പിലും, അവൻ (ഭൂമിയിൽ) പരത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ജന്തുജാലങ്ങളിലും ദൃഢവിശ്വാസമുള്ള ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് നിരവധി ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട്.
وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن رِّزْقٍۢ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَٰحِ ءَايَٰتٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ﴿٥﴾
And in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: [in all this] there are messages for people who use their reason.
രാപ്പകലുകളുടെ തുടർച്ചയിലും, ആകാശത്തുനിന്ന് ദൈവം ഇറക്കിത്തരുന്ന ഉപജീവനമാർഗ്ഗത്തിലും (മഴ), അതുവഴി നിർജ്ജീവമായിക്കിടന്ന ഭൂമിക്ക് അവൻ ജീവൻ നൽകുന്നതിലും, കാറ്റുകളുടെ ഗതിമാറ്റത്തിലും ചിന്തിച്ചു മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് നിരവധി ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട്.
تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿٦﴾
These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe?
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഈ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങൾ സത്യസന്ധമായി നാം നിനക്ക് ഓതിക്കേൾപ്പിച്ചു തരുന്നു. എന്നിരിക്കെ, ദൈവത്തിനും അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങൾക്കും പുറമെ ഇനി ഏത് വാക്കിലാണ് അവർ വിശ്വസിക്കുക?
وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ﴿٧﴾
Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver
സ്വയം വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നവനും പാപിയുമായ ഏതൊരാൾക്കും നാശം!
يَسْمَعُ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ﴿٨﴾
who hears God's messages when they are conveyed to him, and yet, as though he had not heard them, persists in his haughty disdain! Hence, announce unto him grievous suffering -
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ തനിക്ക് ഓതിക്കേൾപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അത് കേൾക്കുകയും, എന്നിട്ടും താനത് കേട്ടിട്ടേയില്ല എന്നതുപോലെ അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ തന്റെ നിലപാടിൽ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ. അതിനാൽ അവന് വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷയെക്കുറിച്ച് നീ സന്തോഷവാർത്ത അറിയിക്കുക.
وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّهِينٌۭ﴿٩﴾
for when he does become aware of any of Our messages, he makes them a target of his mockery! For all such there is shameful suffering in store.
നമ്മുടെ വചനങ്ങളിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒന്നിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൻ അറിയാനിടയായാൽ, അവൻ അതിനെ പരിഹാസ്യമാക്കിക്കളയുന്നു! അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർക്ക് അപമാനകരമായ ശിക്ഷയാണുള്ളത്.
مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴿١٠﴾
Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesomc suffering awaits them.
അവരുടെ മുന്നിൽ നരകമുണ്ട്; അവർ ഈ ദുനിയാവിൽ സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയതൊന്നും തന്നെ അവർക്ക് യാതൊരു ഉപകാരവും ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. ദൈവത്തിന് പുറമെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷാധികാരികളായി സ്വീകരിച്ചവയും അവർക്ക് തുണയാവില്ല. ഭയങ്കരമായ ശിക്ഷയാണ് അവർക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.
هَٰذَا هُدًۭى ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ﴿١١﴾
[To pay heed to God's signs and messages:] this is [the meaning of] guidance; on the other hand, for those who are bent on denying the truth of their Sustainer's messages there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness.
(ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളും വചനങ്ങളും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയെന്നത്) ശരിയായ മാർഗ്ഗദർശനമാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽതങ്ങളുടെ പരമാധികാരിയായ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിഷേധിക്കാൻ മുതിർന്നവർക്ക്, അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയുടെ (അധപതനത്തിന്റെ) ഫലമായി വേദനയേറിയ കഠിനശിക്ഷയുണ്ട്.
۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ﴿١٢﴾
IT IS GOD who has made the sea subservient [to His laws, so that it be of use] to you - so that ships might sail through it at His behest, and that you might seek to obtain [what you need] of His bounty, and that you might have cause to be grateful.
(അവന്റെ നിയമങ്ങള്ക്കനുസൃതമായി) നിങ്ങള്ക്കുപകാരപ്രദമാവാന് വേണ്ടി കടലിനെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അധീനപ്പെടുത്തി നല്കിയത് അവനാകുന്നു- അതുകൊണ്ട്, കടലിലൂടെ അവന്റെ ഇച്ഛപ്രകാരം കപ്പലുകളോടുന്നതിനും, അവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തില് നിന്നും (നിങ്ങള്ക്കാവശ്യമുള്ളത്) നിങ്ങള് നേടിയെടുക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടി, നിങ്ങള് ചിലപ്പോള് നന്ദിയുള്ളവരായേക്കാം.
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ﴿١٣﴾
And He has made subservient to you, [as a gift] from Himself, all that is in the heavens and on earth: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think!
ആകാശങ്ങളിലുള്ളതും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതുമെല്ലാം അവൻ തന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു (സമ്മാനമായി) നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിധേയമാക്കിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്നുതീർച്ചയായും, ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇതിൽ വലിയ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട് (സന്ദേശങ്ങളുണ്ട്)!
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ ٱللَّهِ لِيَجْزِىَ قَوْمًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ﴿١٤﴾
Tell all who have attained to faith that they should forgive those who do not believe in the coming of the Days of God, [since it is] for Him [alone] to requite people for whatever they may have earned.
സത്യവിശ്വാസം കൈക്കൊണ്ടവരോട് നീ പറയുക: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാളുകളെ (അവിടുത്തെ ഇടപെടലുകളുടെയോ ശിക്ഷാവിധിയുടെയോ ദിനങ്ങളെ) ഭയപ്പെടുകയോ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്തവർക്ക് അവർ വിട്ടുവീഴ്ച ചെയ്യട്ടെ; ആളുകൾ സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയതിന് (അവർ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിന്) അവർക്ക് അവിടുന്ന് തന്നെ പ്രതിഫലം നൽകാൻ വേണ്ടി (ഇത് ദൈവത്തിന് മാത്രം വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കുക).
مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ﴿١٥﴾
Whoever does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own hurt; and in the end unto your Sustainer you all will be brought back.
ആര് നല്ലതും ശരിയുമായ കാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ, അത് അവൻ തന്റെ സ്വന്തം നന്മയ്ക്കായി തന്നെയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്; ആര് തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ, അത് അവൻ തന്റെ തന്നെ നാശത്തിനായി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒടുവിൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പരമാധികാരിയായ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്ക് തന്നെയാണ് നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും മടക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿١٦﴾
AND, INDEED, [already] unto the children of Israel did We vouchsafe revelation, and wisdom, and prophethood; and We provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life, and favoured them above all other people [of their time].
തീർച്ചയായും, ഇസ്രായീൽ സന്തതികൾക്ക് ഇതിനുമുമ്പ് നാം വേദഗ്രന്ഥവും ജ്ഞാനവും പ്രവാചകത്വവും നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി. അവർക്ക് നാം വിശിഷ്ടമായ വസ്തുക്കളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉപജീവനം നൽകുകയും, (അന്നത്തെ) ലോകരെക്കാള് അവരെ ശ്രേഷ്ടരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ﴿١٧﴾
And We gave them clear indications of the purpose [of faith]; and it was only after all this knowledge had been vouchsafed to them that they began, out of mutual jealousy, to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all whereon they were wont to differ.
മതകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ (വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ) ലക്ഷ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവ്യക്തമായ മാര്ഗദര്ശനങ്ങളേകി. എന്നാൽ, തങ്ങൾക്ക് (സത്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള) ജ്ഞാനം വന്നുകിട്ടിയതിന് ശേഷമാണ് അവർക്കിടയിലെ പരസ്പരമുള്ള അസൂയയും വിദ്വേഷവും കാരണം അവർ ഭിന്നതകളിലേക്ക് പോയത്. തീർച്ചയായും, അവര് ഭിന്നിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളില് പുനരുത്ഥാനനാളിൽ നിന്റെ നാഥൻ അവർക്കിടയിൽ വിധി കൽപ്പിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ فَٱتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴿١٨﴾
And, finally, [O Muhammad,] We have set thee on a way by which the purpose [of faith] may be fulfilled: so follow thou this [way], and follow not the likes and dislikes of those who do not know [the truth].
പിന്നീട്, (ഓ മുഹമ്മദ്,) നാം നിന്നെ ആ വിശ്വാസദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കാനുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ ഒരു മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ നീ ആ മാർഗ്ഗത്തെ പിന്തുടരുക; സത്യം അറിയാത്തവരുടെ തന്നിഷ്ടങ്ങളെ നീ പിന്തുടരരുത്.
إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ﴿١٩﴾
Behold, they could never be of any avail to thee if thou wert to defy the will of God - for, verily, such evildoers are but friends and protectors of one another, whereas God is the Protector of all who are conscious of Him.
തീർച്ചയായും, ദൈവത്തിനെതിരായി നിനക്ക് യാതൊരു സഹായവും ചെയ്യാൻ അവർക്ക് കഴിയില്ല. അക്രമികൾ പരസ്പരം സഹായികളും സംരക്ഷകരുമാണ്; എന്നാൽ ദൈവം അവനെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ സംരക്ഷകനാകുന്നു.
هَٰذَا بَصَٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
This [revelation, then,] is a means of insight for mankind, and a guidance and grace unto people who are endowed with inner certainty.
ഈ (വെളിപാട് (ഖുർആൻ)), മനുഷ്യരാശിക്ക് ഉൾക്കാഴ്ച നൽകുന്ന ഒന്നാകുന്നു; കൂടാതെ ദൃഢവിശ്വാസമുള്ള (ഉറച്ച ബോധ്യമുള്ള) ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇതൊരു മാർഗ്ഗദർശനവും കാരുണ്യവുമാണ്."
