Surah Al-Ahqaf — The Sand-Dunes

حمٓ﴿١﴾

Ha; Mim.

ഹാ-മീം

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ﴿٢﴾

THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues from God, the Almighty, the Wise.

പ്രതാപശാലിയും യുക്തിമാനുമായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ് ഈ വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്റെ അവതരണം.

مَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَمَّآ أُنذِرُوا۟ مُعْرِضُونَ﴿٣﴾

We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them otherwise than in accordance with [an inner] truth, and for a term set [by Us]: and yet, they who are bent on denying the truth turn aside from the warning which has been conveyed unto them.

ആകാശങ്ങളും ഭൂമിയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ളവയും ഒരു യഥാർത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടും (സത്യത്തോടെയും) നിർമ്മിതമായ ഒരു നിശ്ചിത അവധിയോടെയുമല്ലാതെ നാം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും, സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കാൻ മടിയില്ലാത്തവർ (സത്യനിഷേധികൾ) തങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകപ്പെട്ട താക്കീതിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നു.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌۭ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ۖ ٱئْتُونِى بِكِتَٰبٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِ هَٰذَآ أَوْ أَثَٰرَةٍۢ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ﴿٤﴾

Say: "Have you [really] given thought to what it is that you invoke instead of God? Show me what these [beings or forces) have created anywhere on earth! Or had they, perchance, a share in [creating] the heavens? [If so,) bring me any divine writ preceding this one, or any [other] vestige of knowledge - if what you claim is true!"

(നബിയേ,) പറയുക: അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ നിങ്ങൾ വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നവയെക്കുറിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിച്ചു നോക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ എന്ത് ഭാഗമാണ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതെന്ന് എനിക്ക് കാണിച്ചുതരൂ! അതല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആകാശങ്ങളുടെ സൃഷ്ടിപ്പിൽ അവർക്ക് വല്ല പങ്കുമുണ്ടോ? നിങ്ങൾ സത്യവാൻമാരാണെങ്കിൽ ഇതിന് മുമ്പുള്ള ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ദിവ്യഗ്രന്ഥമോ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ (മുൻകാലങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള) അറിവിന്റെ വല്ല അവശിഷ്ടമോ എനിക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരൂ.

وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَهُمْ عَن دُعَآئِهِمْ غَٰفِلُونَ﴿٥﴾

And who could be more astray than one who invokes, instead of God, such as will not respond to him either now or on the Day of Resurrection, and are not even conscious of being invoked? -

ദൈവത്തെക്കൂടാതെ, ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ്പിന്റെ നാൾ വരെയും തനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം നൽകാൻ കഴിയാത്തവരെ വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നവനേക്കാൾ വലിയ വഴിപിഴച്ചവൻ ആരാണുള്ളത്? അവർ തങ്ങളെ ചിലര്‍ പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്നറിയുകപോലും ചെയ്യാത്തവരുമാണ്.

وَإِذَا حُشِرَ ٱلنَّاسُ كَانُوا۟ لَهُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ وَكَانُوا۟ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ كَٰفِرِينَ﴿٦﴾

such as, when all mankind is gathered [for judgment], will be enemies unto those (who worshipped them], and will utterly reject their worship?

അതായത്, മനുഷ്യരെല്ലാവരും (വിചാരണയ്ക്കായി) ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, അവർ (ഈ ആരാധ്യർ) തങ്ങളെ ആരാധിച്ചവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളായിത്തീരുകയും, തങ്ങളെ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന കാര്യത്തെ അവർ പൂർണ്ണമായി നിഷേധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ്.

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ﴿٧﴾

But whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, they who are bent on denying the truth speak thus of the truth as soon as it is brought to them: "This is clearly nothing but spellbinding eloquence!"

നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങൾ (വചനങ്ങൾ) തികച്ചും വ്യക്തമായ നിലയിൽ അവർക്ക് ഓതിക്കേൾപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, സത്യനിഷേത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നവർ തങ്ങൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ വന്നുചേർന്ന ആ സത്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: “ഇത് വ്യക്തമായും വെറും വശ്യമായ വാചാലത മാത്രമാകുന്നു.”

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ إِنِ ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ فَلَا تَمْلِكُونَ لِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ ۖ كَفَىٰ بِهِۦ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ﴿٨﴾

Or do they say, "He has invented all this"? Say [O Muhammad]: "Had I invented it, you would not be of the least help to me against God. He is fully aware of that [slander] into which you so recklessly plunge: enough is He as a witness between me and you! And [withal,] He alone is truly-forgiving, a true dispenser of grace."

അതല്ലെങ്കിൽ, 'അദ്ദേഹം ഇത് സ്വന്തമായി കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതാണ്' എന്ന് അവർ പറയുന്നുണ്ടോ? (നബിയേ,) പറയുക: ഞാൻ ഇത് സ്വന്തമായി കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതാണെങ്കിൽ, ദൈവത്തിൽ നിന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒട്ടും തന്നെ സാധിക്കുകയില്ല. നിങ്ങൾ ഏതൊരു (അപവാദ പ്രചാരണ) കാര്യത്തിലാണ് അശ്രദ്ധമായി മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൻ കൃത്യമായി അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു. എനിക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും ഇടയിൽ സാക്ഷിയായി അവൻ തന്നെ മതി! അവൻ ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കരുണാനിധിയുമാകുന്നു.

قُلْ مَا كُنتُ بِدْعًۭا مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَمَآ أَدْرِى مَا يُفْعَلُ بِى وَلَا بِكُمْ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ﴿٩﴾

Say: "I am not the first of [God's] apostles; and [like all of them] I do not know what will be done with me or with you:" for I am nothing but a plain warner."

(നബിയേ,) പറയുക: ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരിൽ ആദ്യത്തെ ആളൊന്നുമല്ല (അവരെപ്പോലെ തന്നെ) എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടോ നിങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടോ നാളെ എന്താണ് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുക എന്ന് എനിക്കറിയില്ല. ഞാൻ വ്യക്തമായ ഒരു താക്കീതുകാരൻ മാത്രമാകുന്നു.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَفَرْتُم بِهِۦ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌۭ مِّنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ مِثْلِهِۦ فَـَٔامَنَ وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ﴿١٠﴾

Say: "Have you given thought [to how you will fare] if this be truly [a revelation] from God and yet you deny its truth? - even though a witness from among the children of Israel has already borne witness to [the advent of] one like himself, and has believed [in him], the while you glory in your arrogance [and reject his message]? Verily, God does not grace [such] evildoing folk with His guidance!"

(നബിയേ,) പറയുക: നിങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിച്ചു നോക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ, ഇത് (ഖുർആൻ) ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ നിന്നുള്ളതായിരിക്കുകയും, എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ ഇതിനെ നിഷേധിക്കുകയുമാണ് ചെയ്തതെങ്കിൽ (നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ എന്തായിരിക്കും)?—ഇസ്രായീൽ സന്തതികളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു സാക്ഷി തന്നെ, തനിക്ക് സമാനമായ ഒരാളുടെ (ആഗമനത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്) ഇതിനകം സാക്ഷ്യം നൽകിയിട്ടുമുണ്ട് എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം അതിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ അഹങ്കരിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത് (അവന്റെ സന്ദേശം നിഷേധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു). തീർച്ചയായും, അക്രമികളായ ജനങ്ങളെ അല്ലാഹു നേർവഴിയിലാക്കുകയില്ല.!

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْ كَانَ خَيْرًۭا مَّا سَبَقُونَآ إِلَيْهِ ۚ وَإِذْ لَمْ يَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَيَقُولُونَ هَٰذَآ إِفْكٌۭ قَدِيمٌۭ﴿١١﴾

But they who are bent on denying the truth speak thus of those who have attained to faith: "If this [message] were any good, these [people] would not have preceded us in accepting it!" And since they refuse to be guided by it, they will always say, "This is [but] an ancient falsehood!"

എന്നാൽ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കാൻ മടിയില്ലാത്തവർ, വിശ്വസിച്ചവരെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: 'ഇത് (ഈ സന്ദേശം) വല്ല ഗുണവുമുള്ളതായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ഇതിനെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതിൽ അവർ നമ്മെക്കാൾ മുമ്പിലാകുമായിരുന്നില്ല!' തങ്ങൾ ഇതിലൂടെ നേർവഴിയിലാകാൻ വിസമ്മതിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ എപ്പോഴും പറയും: 'ഇത് വെറുമൊരു പഴഞ്ചൻ കെട്ടുകഥ മാത്രമാകുന്നു!

وَمِن قَبْلِهِۦ كِتَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامًۭا وَرَحْمَةًۭ ۚ وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌۭ مُّصَدِّقٌۭ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لِّيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿١٢﴾

And yet, before this there was the revelation of Moses, a guide and a [sign of God's] grace; and this [Qur'an] is a divine writ confirming the truth [of the Torah] in the Arabic tongue, to warn those who are bent on evildoing, and [to bring] a glad tiding to the doers of good:

എന്നാൽ ഇതിനു മുൻപ്, ഒരു വഴികാട്ടിയും (ദൈവിക) കാരുണ്യവുമായി മോശെയുടെ വേദഗ്രന്ഥം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഈ (ഖുർആനാകട്ടെ), അക്രമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകാനും സൽക്കർമ്മികൾക്ക് സന്തോഷവാർത്ത അറിയിക്കാനുമായി, അറബി ഭാഷയിൽ (തോറയെ) സത്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഒരു ദൈവിക ഗ്രന്ഥവുമാണ്.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ﴿١٣﴾

for, behold, all who say, "Our Sustainer is God", and thereafter stand firm [in their faith] - no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve:

കാരണം, തീർച്ചയായും "ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാഥൻ (രക്ഷിതാവ്) അല്ലാഹുവാണ്" എന്ന് പറയുകയും, പിന്നീട് (ആ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ) ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആരോ—അവർക്ക് യാതൊന്നും ഭയപ്പെടാനില്ല, അവർ ദുഃഖിക്കേണ്ടിവരികയുമില്ല.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ﴿١٤﴾

it is they who are destined for paradise, therein to abide as a reward for all that they have done.

അവരാണ് സ്വർഗ്ഗാവകാശികൾ; തങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള പ്രതിഫലമായി അവരതിൽ നിത്യവാസികളായിരിക്കും.

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ إِحْسَٰنًا ۖ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرْهًۭا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًۭا ۖ وَحَمْلُهُۥ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةًۭ قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًۭا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ ۖ إِنِّى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ﴿١٥﴾

NOW [among the best of the deeds which] We have enjoined upon man is goodness towards his parents. In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth; and her bearing him and his utter dependence on her took thirty months. And so, when he attains to full maturity and reaches forty years, he [that is righteous] prays: "O my Sustainer! Inspire me so that I may forever be grateful for those blessings of Thine with which Thou hast graced me and my parents, and that I may do what is right [in a manner] that will meet with Thy goodly acceptance; and grant me righteousness in my offspring [as well]. Verily, unto Thee have I turned in repentance: for, verily, I am of those who have surrendered themselves unto Thee!"

മനുഷ്യന് നാം കൽപ്പിച്ചു നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ള (ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമമായ പുണ്യപ്രവൃത്തികളിൽ) പെട്ടതാണ് തന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളോട് നന്മ ചെയ്യുക എന്നത്. മനോവേദനയോടും ശാരീരിക ക്ലേശത്തോടും കൂടിയാണ് അവന്റെ മാതാവ് അവനെ ഗർഭം ചുമന്നത്, അത്രതന്നെ പ്രയാസത്തോടെയാണ് അവൾ അവന് ജന്മം നൽകിയതും; അവനെ ഗർഭം ചുമന്ന കാലവും അവൻ പൂർണ്ണമായും അവളെ ആശ്രയിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലവും (മുലകുടി നിർത്തുന്നത് വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവും) മുപ്പത് മാസക്കാലമായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ തന്റെ പൂർണ്ണ വളർച്ചയിലെത്തുകയും നാൽപ്പത് വയസ്സ് തികയുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ, (സദ്‌വൃത്തനായ) അവൻ ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു: "എന്റെ നാഥാ! എനിക്കും എന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾക്കും നീ ചൊരിഞ്ഞുതന്ന നിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്നെന്നും നന്ദിയുള്ളവനായിരിക്കാനും, നിന്റെ പ്രീതിക്ക് പാത്രമാകുന്ന രീതിയിൽ സൽക്കർമ്മങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാനും എനിക്ക് നീ പ്രചോദനം (ഭാഗ്യം) നൽകേണമേ; എന്റെ സന്തതിപരമ്പരകളിലും നീ എനിക്ക് നന്മ (സ്വഭാവശുദ്ധി) നിലനിർത്തേണമേ. തീർച്ചയായും, ഞാൻ പശ്ചാത്താപത്തോടെ നിന്നിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; തീർച്ചയായും ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമായി സമർപ്പിച്ചവരിൽ (മുസ്‌ലിംകളിൽ) പെട്ടവനാകുന്നു!

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنْهُمْ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَنَتَجَاوَزُ عَن سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ فِىٓ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ وَعْدَ ٱلصِّدْقِ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ﴿١٦﴾

It is [such as] these from whom We shall accept the best that they ever did, and whose bad deeds We shall overlook: [they will find themselves] among those who are destined for paradise, in fulfilment of the true promise which they were given [in this world].

ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരിൽ നിന്നാണ് അവർ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിൽ വെച്ച് ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമമായത് നാം സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും, അവരുടെ തിന്മകൾ നാം മാപ്പാക്കി കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത്; (അങ്ങനെ) അവർ സ്വർഗ്ഗാവകാശികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായിരിക്കും. (ഈ ലോകത്ത്) അവർക്ക് നൽകപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന സത്യസന്ധമായ വാഗ്ദാനത്തിന്റെ പൂർത്തീകരണമത്രെ ഇത്.

وَٱلَّذِى قَالَ لِوَٰلِدَيْهِ أُفٍّۢ لَّكُمَآ أَتَعِدَانِنِىٓ أَنْ أُخْرَجَ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ ٱلْقُرُونُ مِن قَبْلِى وَهُمَا يَسْتَغِيثَانِ ٱللَّهَ وَيْلَكَ ءَامِنْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿١٧﴾

But [there is many a one] who says to his parents [whenever they try to imbue him with faith in God]: "Fie upon both of you! Do you promise me that I shall be brought forth [from the dead], although [so many] generations have passed away before me?" And [while] they both pray for God's help [and say], "Alas for thee! For, behold, God's promise always comes true!" - he but answers, "All this is nothing but fables of ancient times!"

എന്നാൽ, (ദൈവവിശ്വാസത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ) തന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നവനുമുണ്ട്: "നിങ്ങൾ രണ്ടുപേരുടെയും മേൽ കഷ്ടം തന്നെ! എനിക്ക് മുൻപ് എത്രയോ തലമുറകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിട്ടും, (മരണശേഷം) ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും ജീവനോടെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരപ്പെടും എന്നാണോ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോട് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്? അപ്പോൾ അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് (അവനോട്) ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും: "നിനക്ക് നാശം! നീ വിശ്വസിക്കൂ; തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനം സത്യമാണ്!" എന്നാൽ അവൻ മറുപടി പറയുക മാത്രം ചെയ്യും: "ഇതെല്ലാം പണ്ടുള്ളവരുടെ കെട്ടുകഥകൾ മാത്രമാണ്!

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍۢ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ﴿١٨﴾

It is [such as] these upon whom the sentence [of doom] will fall due, together with the [other sinful] communities of invisible beings and humans that have passed away before their time. Verily, they will be lost:

തങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിട്ടുള്ള ജിന്നുകളുടെയും മനുഷ്യരുടെയും (പാപികളായ) മറ്റ് സമൂഹങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം ശിക്ഷാവിധി അനിവാര്യമായിത്തീർന്നത് ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടെ മേലാണ്. തീർച്ചയായും അവർ കനത്ത നഷ്ടം സംഭവിച്ചവരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

وَلِكُلٍّۢ دَرَجَٰتٌۭ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ ۖ وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ﴿١٩﴾

for, [in the life to come,] all shall have their degrees in accordance with whatever [good or evil] they did: and so, He will repay them in full for their doings, and none shall be wronged.

കാരണം, (പരലോക ജീവിതത്തിൽ) തങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിനനുസരിച്ച് (നന്മയാകട്ടെ തിന്മയാകട്ടെ) ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും അർഹമായ പദവികളുണ്ടായിരിക്കും. അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളുടെ കർമ്മങ്ങൾക്ക് അവൻ അവർക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമായി പ്രതിഫലം നൽകാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണിത്; അവരോട് ഒട്ടും അനീതി കാണിക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല.

وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ أَذْهَبْتُمْ طَيِّبَٰتِكُمْ فِى حَيَاتِكُمُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهَا فَٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْسُقُونَ﴿٢٠﴾

And on the Day when those who were bent on denying the truth will be brought within sight of the fire, [they will be told:] "You have exhausted your [share of] good things in your worldly life, having enjoyed them [without any thought of the hereafter]: and so today you shall be requited with the suffering of humiliation for having gloried on earth in your arrogance, offending against all that is right, and for ill your iniquitous doings!"

സത്യനിഷേധികളായ ആളുകൾ നരകാഗ്നിക്ക് മുന്നിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരപ്പെടുന്ന ആ ദിവസം (അവരോട് പറയപ്പെടും): "നിങ്ങളുടെ ലൗകിക ജീവിതത്തിൽ തന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം നിങ്ങൾ അനുഭവിച്ചു തീർത്തു; (പരലോകത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് യാതൊരു ചിന്തയുമില്ലാതെ) നിങ്ങൾ അവ ആസ്വദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അതിനാൽ, യാതൊരു ന്യായവുമില്ലാതെ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഹങ്കാരം നടിച്ചതിനും, സത്യത്തിനെതിരെ അതിക്രമം കാണിച്ചതിനും, നിങ്ങളുടെ അധർമ്മപരമായ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും പകരമായി അപമാനകരമായ ശിക്ഷയാണ് ഇന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതിഫലമായി നൽകപ്പെടുന്നത്.
