Surah Al-Fath — Victory

إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًۭا مُّبِينًۭا﴿١﴾

VERILY, [O Muhammad,] We have laid open before thee a manifest victory,'

(നബിയേ,) തീർച്ചയായും നിനക്ക് നാം പ്രത്യക്ഷമായ ഒരു വിജയം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു

لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَٰطًۭا مُّسْتَقِيمًۭا﴿٢﴾

so that God might show His forgiveness of all thy faults, past as well as future, and [thus] bestow upon thee the full measure of His blessings, and guide thee on a straight way,

അതുവഴി ദൈവം നിന്റെ മുൻകാലത്തെയും പിൻകാലത്തെയും വീഴ്ചകൾക്ക് നിനക്ക് പൊറുത്തുതരുന്നതിനും, തന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം നിനക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമാക്കിത്തരുന്നതിനും, നിന്നെ നേർവഴിയിൽ (സിറാത്തുൽ മുസ്തഖീമിൽ) നയിക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു;

وَيَنصُرَكَ ٱللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا﴿٣﴾

and [show] that God will succour thee with [His] mighty succour.

അതുപോലെ, ദൈവം നിന്നെ ശക്തമായ ഒരു സഹായത്താൽ സഹായിക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنًۭا مَّعَ إِيمَٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا﴿٤﴾

It is He who from on high has bestowed inner peace upon the hearts of the believers, so that - seeing that God's are all the forces of the heavens and the earth, and that God is all-knowing, truly wise they might grow yet more firm in their faith;

അവനാകുന്നു സത്യവിശ്വാസികളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ ശാന്തി (സകീനത്ത്) വർഷിച്ചവൻ. ആകാശങ്ങളിലെയും ഭൂമിയിലെയും സർവ്വ സൈന്യങ്ങളും ദൈവത്തിന്റേതാണ് എന്ന യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട്, തങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തോടൊപ്പം കൂടുതൽ ദൃഢത കൈവരിക്കാൻ അവർക്ക് വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു അത്. ദൈവം സർവ്വജ്ഞനും യുക്തിമാനുമാകുന്നു.

لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًۭا﴿٥﴾

[and] that He might admit the believers, both men and women, into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide, and that He might efface their [past bad] deeds: and that is, in the sight of God, indeed a triumph supreme!

സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും, അടിത്തട്ടിലൂടെ അരുവികൾ ഒഴുകുന്ന സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തോപ്പുകളിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും — അവരതിൽ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി വസിക്കുന്നതിനായിരിക്കും — അവരുടെ മുൻകാല തിന്മകളെ അവൻ മായ്ച്ചുകളയുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു അത്. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇത് തീർച്ചയായും മഹത്തായൊരു വിജയമാകുന്നു.

وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۖ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًۭا﴿٦﴾

And [God has willed] to impose suffering [in the life to come] on the hypocrites, both men and women, and on those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, both men and women: all who entertain evil thoughts about God. Evil encompasses them from all sides, and God's condemnation rests upon them; and He has rejected them [from His grace], and has readied hell for them: and how evil a journey's end!

കപടവിശ്വാസികളായ പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും സ്ത്രീകൾക്കും, അതുപോലെ ദൈവത്തിന് പുറമെ മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് ദൈവത്വം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്ന (ബഹുദൈവാരാധകരായ) പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും സ്ത്രീകൾക്കും — ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് തെറ്റായ ധാരണകൾ വെച്ചുപുലർത്തുന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും — (പരലോകത്ത്) ശിക്ഷാനുഭവങ്ങൾ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നതും (ദൈവഹിതത്തിൽ) പെട്ടതാകുന്നു. ആ തിന്മ അവരെത്തന്നെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും വലയം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം അവരുടെമേൽ പതിക്കുകയും, അവൻ അവരെ തന്റെ കാരുണ്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അകറ്റിനിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർക്കായി അവൻ നരകം ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ട്; ചെന്നുചേരാനുള്ള എത്രയോ ദുഷിച്ച സങ്കേതമാണത്!

وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا﴿٧﴾

For, God's are all the forces of the heavens and the earth; and God is indeed almighty, truly wise!

എന്തെന്നാൽ, ആകാശങ്ങളിലെയും ഭൂമിയിലെയും സർവ്വ സൈന്യങ്ങളും ദൈവത്തിന്റേതാകുന്നു; ദൈവം പ്രതാപശാലിയും യുക്തിമാനുമാകുന്നു.

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ شَٰهِدًۭا وَمُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا﴿٨﴾

VERILY, [O Muhammad,] We have sent thee as a witness [to the truth], and as a herald of glad tidings and a warner -

(നബിയേ,) തീർച്ചയായും നിന്നെ നാം (സത്യത്തിന്റെ) സാക്ഷിയായും, സന്തോഷവാർത്ത അറിയിക്കുന്നവനായും, താക്കീതു നൽകുന്നവനായും നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًا﴿٩﴾

so that you [O men] might believe in God and His Apostle, and might honour Him, and revere Him, and extol His limitless glory from morn to evening.

(മനുഷ്യരേ,) നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിലും അവന്റെ ദൂതനിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതിനും, അവനെ ആദരിക്കുകയും ബഹുമാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും, പ്രഭാതത്തിലും പ്രദോഷത്തിലും അവന്റെ അതിരറ്റ പരിശുദ്ധിയെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു അത്.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۚ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِمَا عَٰهَدَ عَلَيْهُ ٱللَّهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًۭا﴿١٠﴾

Behold, all who pledge their allegiance to thee pledge their allegiance to God: the hand of God is over their hands. Hence, he who breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own hurt; whereas he who remains true to what he has pledged unto God, on him will He bestow a reward supreme.

തീർച്ചയായും നിന്നോട് പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്യുന്നവർ ദൈവത്തോട് തന്നെയാണ് പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ അവരുടെ കൈകൾക്ക് മീതെയുണ്ട്. അതിനാൽ ആരെങ്കിലും (അത്) ലംഘിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, തന്റെ സ്വന്തം ആത്മാവിന് ദോഷകരമായിട്ടായിരിക്കും അവനത് ലംഘിക്കുന്നത്. ദൈവത്തോട് താൻ ചെയ്ത കരാർ ആരെങ്കിലും വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ നിറവേറ്റുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവന് അവൻ മഹത്തായ പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുന്നതാണ്.

سَيَقُولُ لَكَ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَآ أَمْوَٰلُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًۢا ۚ بَلْ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًۢا﴿١١﴾

Those of the bedouin who stayed behind will say unto thee: "[The need to take care of] our chattels and our families kept us busy: do then, [O Prophet,] ask God to forgive us!" [Thus,] they will utter with their tongues something that is not in their hearts. Say: "Who, then, has it in his power to avert from you aught that God may have willed," whether it be His will to harm you or to confer a benefit on you? Nay, but God is fully aware of what you do!

(യുദ്ധത്തിന് വരാതെ) പിന്നോക്കം നിന്നുപോയ മരുഭൂവാസികൾ നിന്നോട് പറയും: 'ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വത്തുക്കളും കുടുംബങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളെ തിരക്കിലാക്കി കളഞ്ഞു; അതിനാൽ താങ്കൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തോട് പാപമോചനം തേടണം.' തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലില്ലാത്തതാണ് അവർ നാവുകൊണ്ട് പറയുന്നത്. (നബിയേ,) പറയുക: 'ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വല്ല ദോഷവും വരുത്താൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാൽ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വല്ല ഗുണവും വരുത്താൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാൽ അവനിൽ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് യാതൊന്നും തടയാൻ ആർക്കാണ് സാധിക്കുക? അല്ല, നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റിയെല്ലാം ദൈവം സൂക്ഷ്മമായി അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു.

بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًۭا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًۢا بُورًۭا﴿١٢﴾

Nay, you thought that the Apostle and the believers would never return to their kith and kin: and this seemed goodly to your hearts. And you entertained [such] evil thoughts because you have always been people devoid of all good!"

അങ്ങനെയല്ല, റസൂലും വിശ്വാസികളും തങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും തിരിച്ചുവരില്ലെന്നാണ് നിങ്ങൾ കരുതിയത്. അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങൾക്ക് വളരെ ദീപ്തമായി (നല്ലതായി) തോന്നുകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെയുള്ള തിന്മ നിറഞ്ഞ ചിന്തകളാണ് നിങ്ങൾ വച്ചുപുലർത്തിയത്; കാരണം നിങ്ങൾ ഒട്ടും നന്മയില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജനതയായിരുന്നു!

وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ سَعِيرًۭا﴿١٣﴾

Now as for those who will not believe in God and His Apostle - verily, We have readied a blazing flame for all [such] deniers of the truth!

ഇനി, ദൈവത്തിലും അവന്റെ ദൂതനിലും ആർ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ—അത്തരം സത്യനിഷേധികൾക്കായി തീർച്ചയായും നാം ആളിപ്പടരുന്ന നരകാഗ്നി ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്!

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا﴿١٤﴾

But God's is the dominion over the heavens and the earth: He forgives whomever He wills, and imposes suffering on whomever He wills - and [withal,] He is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.

എന്നാൽ ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും ആധിപത്യം ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതാകുന്നു. അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അവൻ പാപമോചനം നൽകുകയും, അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ശിക്ഷ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. (എന്നിരുന്നാലും,) അവൻ ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും ദയാപരനുമാകുന്നു!

سَيَقُولُ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا ٱنطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ ۖ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا۟ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَٰلِكُمْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا﴿١٥﴾

As soon as you [O believers] are about to set forth on a war that promises booty, those who stayed behind [aforetime] will surely say, "Allow us to go with you" - [thus showing that] they would like to alter the Word of God. Say: "By no means shall you go with us: God has declared aforetime [to whom all spoils shall belong]." Thereupon they will [surely] answer, "Nay, but you begrudge us [our share of booty]!" Nay, they can grasp but so little of the truth!

കൊള്ളമുതലുകൾ (യുദ്ധാർജിത സ്വത്തുക്കൾ) ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പുള്ള ഒരു യുദ്ധത്തിലേക്ക് നിങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെടാൻ ഒരുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, (മുമ്പ്) പിന്നോക്കം നിന്നുപോയവർ തീർച്ചയായും പറയും: 'ഞങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ വരാൻ അനുവദിക്കൂ'—(അതിലൂടെ) ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൽപ്പനയ്ക്ക് മാറ്റം വരുത്താനാണ് അവർ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.പറയുക: 'നിങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ വരേണ്ടതില്ല; (ഈ യുദ്ധമുതലുകൾ ആർക്കുള്ളതാണെന്ന്) ദൈവം മുമ്പ് തന്നെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്.'അപ്പോൾ അവർ (തീർച്ചയായും) പറയും: 'അല്ല, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള അസൂയ കൊണ്ടാണ് (ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് യുദ്ധമുതലിന്റെ വിഹിതം തരാതിരിക്കുന്നത്)!'അങ്ങനെയല്ല, അവർക്ക് കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ വസ്തുത വളരെ കുറച്ചേ മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ!

قُل لِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ سَتُدْعَوْنَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ أُو۟لِى بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ تُقَٰتِلُونَهُمْ أَوْ يُسْلِمُونَ ۖ فَإِن تُطِيعُوا۟ يُؤْتِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَجْرًا حَسَنًۭا ۖ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ كَمَا تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا﴿١٦﴾

Say unto those bedouin who stayed behind: "In time you will be called upon [to fight] against people of great prowess in war: you will have to fight against them [until you die] or they surrender. And then, if you heed [that call], God will bestow on you a goodly reward; but if you turn away as you turned away this time, He will chastise you with grievous chastisement."

(യുദ്ധത്തിന് വരാതെ) പിന്നോക്കം നിന്നുപോയ ആ മരുഭൂവാസികളോട് പറയുക: 'ശക്തമായ യുദ്ധവീര്യമുള്ള ഒരു ജനതക്കെതിരെ (പോരാടാൻ) വൈകാതെ നിങ്ങൾ വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്. (ഒന്നെങ്കിൽ) നിങ്ങൾ അവരോട് പോരാടേണ്ടി വരും, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവർ കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടി വരും. അപ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങൾ (ആ ആഹ്വാനം) അനുസരിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തമമായ പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുന്നതാണ്. എന്നാൽ മുൻപ് നിങ്ങൾ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു കളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ പിന്തിരിയുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷ കൊണ്ട് ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും.

لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌۭ ۗ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا﴿١٧﴾

No blame attaches to the blind, nor does blame attach to the lame, nor does blame attach to the sick [for staying away from a war in God's cause]; but whoever heeds [the call of] God and His Apostle [in deed or in heart], him will He admit into gardens through which running waters flow; whereas him who turns away will He chastise with grievous chastisement.

(ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മാർഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ള യുദ്ധത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മാറിനിൽക്കുന്നതിൽ) അന്ധനായവന്റെ മേൽ യാതൊരു കുറ്റവുമില്ല, മുടന്തനായവന്റെ മേൽ യാതൊരു കുറ്റവുമില്ല, രോഗിയായവന്റെ മേൽ യാതൊരു കുറ്റവുമില്ല. എന്നാൽ ആര് ദൈവത്തിനെയും അവന്റെ റസൂലിനെയും (പ്രവർത്തികൊണ്ടോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടോ) അനുസരിക്കുന്നുവോ, അവനെ താഴ്ഭാഗത്തുകൂടി അരുവികൾ ഒഴുകുന്ന സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തോപ്പുകളിൽ അവൻ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. എന്നാൽ ആരെങ്കിലും പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു കളയുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവൻ അവനെ വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷ കൊണ്ട് ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമാണ്.

۞ لَّقَدْ رَضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَٰبَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا قَرِيبًۭا﴿١٨﴾

INDEED, well-pleased was God with the believers when they pledged their allegiance unto thee [O Muhammad] under that tree, for He knew what was in their hearts; and so He bestowed inner peace upon them from on high, and rewarded them with [the glad tiding of] a victory soon to come,

(ഓ മുഹമ്മദ്,) ആ വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് വിശ്വാസികൾ നിന്നോട് പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം അവരെക്കുറിച്ച് സംതൃപ്തനായിരിക്കുന്നു. കാരണം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ എന്താണുള്ളതെന്ന് അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞു; തന്മൂലം അവൻ അവർക്ക് മുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ആന്തരിക സമാധാനം (ശാന്തി) വർഷിക്കുകയും, വൈകാതെ വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വിജയത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് (സന്തോഷവാർത്ത നൽകി) അവർക്ക് പ്രതിഫലമേകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

وَمَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةًۭ يَأْخُذُونَهَا ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًۭا﴿١٩﴾

and [of] many war-gains which they would achieve: for God is indeed almighty, wise.

അതോടൊപ്പം അവർക്ക് നേടിയെടുക്കാനാകുന്ന ധാരാളം യുദ്ധാർജിത സ്വത്തുക്കളും (അവൻ അവർക്ക് പ്രതിഫലമായി നൽകി). തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം പ്രതാപശാലിയും യുക്തിമാനുമാകുന്നു.

وَعَدَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةًۭ تَأْخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦ وَكَفَّ أَيْدِىَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنكُمْ وَلِتَكُونَ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَٰطًۭا مُّسْتَقِيمًۭا﴿٢٠﴾

[O you who believe!] God has promised you many war-gains which you shall yet achieve; and He has vouchsafed you these [worldly gains]' well in advance, and has stayed from you the hands of [hostile] people, so that this [your inner strength] may become a symbol to the believers [who will come after you], and that He may guide you all on a straight way.

(ഹേ, വിശ്വസിച്ചവരേ!) നിങ്ങൾ നേടിയെടുക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന ധാരാളം യുദ്ധാർജിത സ്വത്തുക്കൾ ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ഈ (ഭൗതിക നേട്ടങ്ങൾ) അവൻ മുൻകൂറായി തന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും, (ശത്രുക്കളായ) ജനങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളെ നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇത് (നിങ്ങളുടെ ആന്തരിക കരുത്ത്) (നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന) വിശ്വാസികൾക്ക് ഒരു അടയാളമായിത്തീരുന്നതിനും, നിങ്ങളെ ഏവരെയും നേരായ വഴിയിലൂടെ അവൻ നയിക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു.
