അൽ മാഇദ · Surah 5 of 114 · 120 verses · Madinah
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ﴿١﴾
O YOU who have attained to faith! Be true to your covenants! Lawful to you is the [flesh of every] beast that feeds on plants, save what is mentioned to you [hereinafter]: but you are not allowed to hunt while you are in the state of pilgrimage. Behold, God ordains in accordance with His will.
വിശ്വാസമാർജിച്ചവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ കരാറുകൾ നിറവേറ്റുക.പിന്നീട് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിവരിച്ചു തരുന്നതൊഴിച്ചുള്ള, സസ്യങ്ങൾ നൽകി തീറ്റിപ്പോറ്റുന്ന എല്ലാ കാലികളുടെയും മാംസം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ തീർത്ഥാടനകർമത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചവരായിരിക്കെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നത് അനുവദനീയമല്ല. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, ദൈവം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് വിധിക്കുന്നു.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ﴿٢﴾
O you who have attained to faith! Offend not against the symbols set up by God, nor against the sacred month [of pilgrimage], nor against the garlanded offerings, nor against those who flock to the Inviolable Temple, seeking favour with their Sustainer and His goodly acceptance; and [only] after your pilgrimage is over are you free to hunt. And never let your hatred of people who would bar you from the Inviolable House of Worship lead you into the sin of aggression: but rather help one another in furthering virtue and God- consciousness, and do not help one another in furthering evil and enmity; and remain conscious of God: for, behold, God is severe in retribution!
വിശ്വാസമാർജിച്ചവരേ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ചിഹ്നങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങൾ അനാദരിക്കരുത്. (തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിന്റെ) പവിത്രമായ മാസത്തെയും അടയാളത്താലികളിട്ട ബലിമൃഗങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും പ്രീതിയും തേടിക്കൊണ്ട് പവിത്രഗേഹത്തെ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിപ്പോകുന്ന തീർത്ഥാടകരെയും നിങ്ങൾ അനാദരിക്കരുത്. എന്നാൽ തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവായാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വേട്ടയാടാവുന്നതാണ്. പവിത്രമായ ആരാധനാമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴിമുടക്കിയ ജനത്തോടുള്ള രോഷം അതിക്രമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്കൊരിക്കലും പ്രേരകമാകരുത്. പുണ്യത്തിലും ദൈവബോധത്തിലും അന്യോന്യം സഹായിക്കുക. പാപത്തിലും ശത്രുതയിലും നിങ്ങൾ അന്യോന്യം സഹായിക്കരുത്. നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, ദൈവം കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനാകുന്നു.
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِٱلْأَزْلَٰمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ ٱلْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمَ دِينًۭا ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍۢ لِّإِثْمٍۢ ۙ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ﴿٣﴾
FORBIDDEN to you is carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that over which any name other than God's has been invoked, and the animal that has been strangled, or beaten to death, or killed by a fall, or gored to death, or savaged by a beast of prey, save that which you [yourselves] may have slaughtered while it was still alive; and [forbidden to you is] all that has been slaughtered on idolatrous altars. And [you are forbidden] to seek to learn through divination what the future may hold in store for you: this is sinful conduct. Today, those who are bent on denying the truth have lost all hope of [your ever forsaking] your religion: do not, then, hold them in awe, but stand in awe of Me! Today have I perfected your religious law for you, and have bestowed upon you the full measure of My blessings, and willed that self-surrender unto Me shall be your religion.' As for him, however, who is driven [to what is forbidden] by dire necessity and not by an inclination to sinning - behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
ശവം, രക്തം, പന്നിമാംസം, ദൈവം അല്ലാത്തവരുടെ പേരിൽ അറുക്കപ്പെട്ടത്, ശ്വാസം മുട്ടി ചത്തത്, അടിച്ചുകൊന്നത്, വീണുചത്തത്, കുത്തേറ്റ് ചത്തത്, ഹിംസ്രജന്തുക്കൾ പരിക്കേൽപിച്ചത് – എന്നാൽ ജീവൻ പോകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് നിങ്ങൾ അറുത്തത് ഒഴികെ – എന്നിവയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠകൾക്കു മുമ്പിൽ ബലിയർപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടതും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാവി അറിയാനായി ഭാഗ്യം നോക്കലും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതെല്ലാം പാപകൃത്യങ്ങളാകുന്നു. ഇന്ന് സത്യനിഷേധത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നവർക്ക് നിങ്ങളുടെ മതത്തിന്റെ (നിങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും അത് കൈവിടുമോ എന്ന) കാര്യത്തിൽ എല്ലാ പ്രതീക്ഷയും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ അവരെ നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുക. ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നിങ്ങളുടെ മതം സമ്പൂർണമാക്കിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് മേൽ വർഷിച്ചു തരികയും. എനിക്കുള്ള ആത്മസമർപ്പണത്തെ മതമായി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തൃപ്തിപ്പെട്ട് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. വല്ലവനും പട്ടിണി കാരണം പാപത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ചായ്വില്ലാതെ നിഷിദ്ധമായത് തിന്നുവാൻ നിർബന്ധിതനാകുന്ന പക്ഷം തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കരുണ ചൊരിയുന്നവനുമാകുന്നു.
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ﴿٤﴾
They will ask thee as to what is lawful to them. Say: "Lawful to you are all the good things of life. And as for those hunting animals which you train by imparting to them something of the knowledge that God has imparted to yourselves - eat of what they seize for you, but mention God's name over it and remain conscious of God: verily, God is swift in reckoning.
തങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദനീയമായത് എന്തൊക്കെയാണെന്ന് അവർ നിന്നോട് ചോദിക്കും. പറയുക: “ജീവിതത്തിലെ എല്ലാ നല്ല വസ്തുക്കളും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകിയ അറിവ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ പരിശീലിപ്പിച്ചെടുത്ത വേട്ടമൃഗം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നുകൊള്ളുക. അതിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവനാമം ഉച്ചരിക്കണം. നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക.” തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം അതിവേഗം കണക്ക് നോക്കുന്നവനാകുന്നു.
ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حِلٌّۭ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّۭ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍۢ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ﴿٥﴾
Today, all the good things of life have been made lawful to you. And the food of those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime is lawful to you, and your food is lawful to them. And [lawful to you are], in wedlock, women from among those who believe [in this divine writ], and, in wedlock, women from among those who have been vouchsafed revelation before your time - provided that you give them their dowers, taking them in honest wedlock, not in fornication, nor as secret love-companions. But as for him who rejects belief [in God] - in vain will be all his works: for in the life to come he shall be among the lost.
ജീവിതത്തിലെ എല്ലാ നല്ല വസ്തുക്കളും ഇന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. മുമ്പ് വേദം നൽകപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ ഭക്ഷണം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദനീയമാണ്. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭക്ഷണം അവർക്കും അനുവദനീയമാണ്. വിശ്വാസിനികളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പതിവ്രതകളായ സ്ത്രീകളും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് വേദം നൽകപ്പെട്ടവരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പതിവ്രതകളായ സ്ത്രീകളും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളവർക്ക് വിവാഹമൂല്യം നൽകുകയും സത്യസന്ധമായി വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തെങ്കിൽ. അവരെ ജാരിണിയായോ രഹസ്യവേഴ്ചക്കാരിയായോ സ്വീകരിക്കരുത്. ദൈവത്തിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നവനാരോ, അവരുടെ കർമങ്ങൾ നിഷ്ഫലമായിപ്പോകുന്നതാകുന്നു. പരലോകത്ത് അവർ നഷ്ടം പറ്റിയവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًۭا فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءًۭ فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًۭا طَيِّبًۭا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍۢ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ﴿٦﴾
O YOU who have attained to faith! When you are about to pray, wash your face, and your hands and arms up to the elbows, and pass your [wet] hands lightly over your head, and [wash] your feet up to the ankles. And if you are in a state requiring total ablution, purify yourselves. But if you are ill, or are travelling, or have just satisfied a want of nature, or have cohabited with a woman, and can find no water - then take resort to pure dust, passing therewith lightly over your face and your hands. God does not want to impose any hardship on you, but wants to make you pure, and to bestow upon you the full measure of His blessings, so that you might have cause to be grateful.
വിശ്വാസമാർജിച്ചവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ പ്രാർത്ഥനക്ക് ഒരുങ്ങിയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖങ്ങളും മുട്ടുവരെ രണ്ടു കൈകളും കഴുകുകയും (നനഞ്ഞ) കൈ കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ തല ചെറുതായി തടവുകയും നെരിയാണിവരെ രണ്ട് കാലുകൾ (കഴുകുകയും) ചെയ്യുക. പൂർണ ശുദ്ധീകരണം (കുളി) ആവശ്യമുള്ള സ്ഥിതിയിലാണെങ്കിൽ, നിങ്ങൾ സ്വയം ശുദ്ധിയാവുക. നിങ്ങൾ രോഗികളാകുകയോ യാത്രയിലാകുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളിലൊരാൾ വിസർജ്ജനം കഴിഞ്ഞ് വരികയോ നിങ്ങൾ സ്ത്രീകളുമായി സംസർഗം നടത്തുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ട് വെള്ളം കിട്ടാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിൽ ശുദ്ധമായ ധൂളി തേടിക്കൊള്ളുക. എന്നിട്ട് അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖവും കൈകളും തടവുക. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടും വരുത്തിവെക്കണമെന്ന് ദൈവം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണമെന്നും തന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിത്തരണമെന്നും അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ നന്ദിയുള്ളവരാകാൻ വേണ്ടി.
وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ﴿٧﴾
And [always] remember the blessings which God has bestowed upon you, and the solemn pledge by which He bound you to Himself when you said, "We have heard, and we pay heed." Hence, remain conscious of God: verily, God has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men].
ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെയ്തു തന്ന അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ (സദാ) ഓർക്കുക, “ഞങ്ങളിതാ കേൾക്കുകയും അനുസരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ സർഭത്തിൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളോട് വാങ്ങിയ ബലിഷ്ഠമായ കരാർ. നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം ഹൃദയരഹസ്യങ്ങൾ നന്നായി അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ ٱعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٨﴾
O YOU who have attained to faith! Be ever steadfast in your devotion to God, bearing witness to the truth in all equity; and never let hatred of anyone lead you into the sin of deviating from justice. Be just: this is closest to being God-conscious. And remain conscious of God: verily, God is aware of all that you do.
വിശ്വാസമാർജിച്ചവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവഭക്തിയിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവരും ന്യായത്തോടെ സത്യത്തിന് സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കുക. ആരോടെങ്കിലുമുള്ള വെറുപ്പ് നീതിയിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിക്കുന്ന പാപങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നിങ്ങളെ നയിക്കരുത്. നിങ്ങൾ നീതി പാലിക്കുക. അതാണ് ദൈവഭക്തിയോട് ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തത്. നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. തീർച്ചയായും നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചെല്ലാം ദൈവം സൂക്ഷ്മമായി അറിയുന്നവനാകുന്നു.
وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ﴿٩﴾
God has promised unto those who attain to faith and do good works [that] theirs shall be forgiveness of sins, and a mighty reward;
വിശ്വാസമാർജിക്കുകയും സത്കർമങ്ങൾ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരോട് ദൈവം പാപമോചനവും മഹത്തായ പ്രതിഫലവും വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ﴿١٠﴾
whereas they who are bent on denying the truth and giving the lie to Our messages - they are destined for the blazing fire.
സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുകയും നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശങ്ങളെ കളവാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരാരോ അവരാകുന്നു നരകാവകാശികൾ.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ﴿١١﴾
O you who have attained to faith! Remember the blessings which God bestowed upon you when [hostile] people were about to lay hands on you and He stayed their hands from you. Remain, then, conscious of God: and in God let the believers place their trust.
വിശ്വാസമാർജിച്ചവരേ, (ശത്രു) ജനവിഭാഗം നിങ്ങളെ ആക്രമിക്കാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ, അവരുടെ കൈകളെ നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് തട്ടിമാറ്റിക്കൊണ്ട് ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെയ്തു തന്ന അനുഗ്രഹം ഓർക്കുവിൻ. നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. വിശ്വാസികൾ ദൈവത്തിൽ മാത്രം ഭരമേൽപിക്കട്ടെ.
۞ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًۭا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ﴿١٢﴾
AND, INDEED, God accepted a [similar] solemn pledge from the children of Israel when We caused twelve of their leaders to be sent [to Canaan as spies]. And God said: "Behold, I shall be with you! If you are constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and believe in My apostles and aid them, and offer up unto God a goodly loan, I will surely efface your bad deeds and bring you into gardens through which running waters flow. But he from among you who, after this, denies the truth, will indeed have strayed from the right path!"
ദൈവം ഇസ്രായീൽ സന്തതികളോട് (സമാനമായ) ഒരു കരാർ വാങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ (കൻആനിൽ സൂക്ഷ്മനിരീക്ഷകരാവാൻ) അവരിൽ നിന്ന് പന്ത്രണ്ട് പേരെ നാം നേതാക്കന്മാരായി നിയോഗിച്ചു. ദൈവം പറഞ്ഞു: “തീർച്ചയായും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പമുണ്ട്. നിങ്ങൾ പ്രാർത്ഥന നില നിർത്തുകയും, ദാനധർമങ്ങൾ നൽകുകയും എന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും അവരെ സഹായിക്കുകയും ദൈവത്തിന്ന് ഉത്കൃഷ്ടമായ കടം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കിൽ തീർച്ചയായും നിങ്ങളുടെ തിന്മകൾ നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഞാൻ മായ്ച്ചുകളയുകയും താഴ്ഭാഗത്ത് കൂടി അരുവികൾ ഒഴുകുന്ന സ്വർഗീയാരാമങ്ങളിൽ നിങ്ങളെ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ്. എന്നാൽ അതിനു ശേഷം നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ആരെങ്കിലും സത്യം നിഷേധിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ അവൻ നേർമാർഗത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.”
فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَٰسِيَةًۭ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿١٣﴾
Then, for having broken their solemn pledge, We rejected them and caused their hearts to harden - [so that now] they distort the meaning of the [revealed] words, taking them out of their context; and they have forgotten much of what they had been told to bear in mind; and from all but a few of them thou wilt always experience treachery. But pardon them, and forbear: verily, God loves the doers of good.
പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ പ്രതിജ്ഞാലംഘനത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി നാം അവരെ തള്ളിക്കളയുകയും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ കടുത്തതാക്കിത്തീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. (അവതീർണ) വചനങ്ങളെ സന്ദർഭത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അടർത്തിയെടുത്ത് അർത്ഥത്തെ അവർ മാറ്റിമറിച്ചു. ഓർക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞ ഉദ്ബോധനങ്ങളിൽ അധികവും അവർ മറന്നു കളയുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരിൽ ചിലരൊഴികെയുള്ളവർ ചെയ്യുന്ന വഞ്ചനകൾ നീ എപ്പോഴും കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. എന്നാൽ അവർക്ക് നീ മാപ്പുനൽകുകയും അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികളുടെ നേരെ കണ്ണടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. നല്ല നിലയിൽ വർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ﴿١٤﴾
And [likewise,] from those who say, "Behold, we are Christians." We have accepted a solemn pledge: and they, too, have forgotten much of what they had been told to bear in mind - wherefore We have given rise among them to enmity and hatred, [to last] until Resurrection Day: and in time God will cause them to understand what they have contrived.
ഞങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളാണ് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞവരിൽ നിന്നും നാം കരാർ വാങ്ങുകയുണ്ടായി. എന്നിട്ട് അവരോട് ഓർക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞ ഉദ്ബോധനങ്ങളിൽ അധികവും അവർ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. അതിനാൽ അവർക്കിടയിൽ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ് നാൾ വരെ (നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന) പരസ്പര വൈരത്തിന്റെയും വിദ്വേഷത്തിന്റെയും വിത്ത് നാം പാകി. അവർ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റിയെല്ലാം ദൈവം തക്കസമയത്ത് അവരെ പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍۢ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌۭ وَكِتَٰبٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ﴿١٥﴾
O followers of the Bible! Now there has come unto you Our Apostle, to make clear unto you much of what you have been concealing [from yourselves] of the Bible, and to pardon much. Now there has come unto you from God a light, and a clear divine writ,
വേദക്കാരേ (ബൈബിളിന്റെ അനുചരന്മാരേ), വേദത്തിൽ (ബൈബിളിൽ) നിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ മറച്ച് വെച്ചിരുന്ന ധാരാളം കാര്യങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തരികയും ധാരാളം കാര്യങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് മാപ്പാക്കിത്തരികയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ ദൂതൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ആഗതനായിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾക്കിതാ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു പ്രകാശവും സുവ്യക്തമായ ഒരു വേദവും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ﴿١٦﴾
through which God shows unto all that seek His goodly acceptance the paths leading to salvation and, by His grace, brings them out of the depths of darkness into the light and guides them onto a straight way.
അതിലൂടെ ദൈവം തന്റെ പ്രീതി തേടുന്നവരെ മോക്ഷമാർഗങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്നു. അവന്റെ കാരുണ്യാതിരേകത്താൽ അവരെ അന്ധകാരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രകാശത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുകയും അവരെ നേർവഴിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ﴿١٧﴾
Indeed, the truth deny they who say, "Behold, God is the Christ, son of Mary." Say: "And who could have prevailed with God in any way had it been His will to destroy the Christ, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone who is on earth - all of them? For, God's is the dominion over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; He creates what He wills: and God has the power to will anything!"
“മറിയത്തിന്റെ മകൻ ക്രിസ്തു തന്നെയാണ് ദൈവം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞവർ തീർച്ചയായും സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുകയാണ്. പറയുക: “മറിയത്തിന്റെ മകൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മാതാവിനെയും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള മുഴുവൻ പേരെയും, അവരെല്ലാവരെയും, ദൈവം നശിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ അവനെ അതിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവർ ആരുണ്ട്? ദൈവം ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും, ഭൂമിയുടെയും, അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ള സകലതിന്റെയും അധിപനാകുന്നു. അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു. ഏത് കാര്യം ഇച്ഛിക്കാനും കഴിവുള്ളവനാകുന്നു ദൈവം.
وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ﴿١٨﴾
And [both] the Jews and the Christians say, "We are God's children, and His beloved ones." Say: "Why, then, does He cause you to suffer for your sins? Nay, you are but human beings of His creating. He forgives whom He wills, and He causes to suffer whom He wills: for God's is the dominion over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and with Him is all journeys' end."
ജൂതന്മാരും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളും പറഞ്ഞു: “ഞങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കളും അവന്ന് പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരുമാകുന്നു” എന്ന്. പറയുക: “എങ്കിൽ എന്തിനാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾക്ക് അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്? അങ്ങനെയല്ല, അവന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളിൽ പെട്ട മനുഷ്യർ മാത്രമാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ. അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അവൻ പൊറുത്തുകൊടുക്കുകയും അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവരെ അവൻ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ദൈവമാണ് ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ളതിന്റെയും എല്ലാം അധിപൻ. എല്ലാ യാത്രകളുടെയും അന്ത്യവും അവങ്കൽ തന്നെ.”
يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٍۢ وَلَا نَذِيرٍۢ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٌۭ وَنَذِيرٌۭ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ﴿١٩﴾
O followers of the Bible! Now, after a long time during which no apostles have appeared, there has come unto you [this] Our Apostle to make [the truth] clear to you, lest you say, "No bearer of glad tidings has come unto us, nor any warner": for now there has come unto you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner - since God has the power to will anything.
വേദക്കാരേ, (ബൈബിളിന്റെ അനുചരന്മാരേ,) ദൈവദൂതന്മാർ വരാതെ ഏറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് (സത്യം) വ്യക്തമാക്കിത്തരാനായി നമ്മുടെ ദൂതൻ ഇതാ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. “ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത് ഒരു സുവിശേഷകനോ മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകാരനോ വന്നില്ല” എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ പറയാതിരിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണിത്. അതെ, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സുവിശേഷകനും മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകാരനും ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം ഏത് കാര്യം ഇച്ഛിക്കാനും കഴിവുള്ളവനാകുന്നു.
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًۭا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿٢٠﴾
AND, LO, Moses said unto his people:" "O my people! Remember the blessings which God bestowed upon you when he raised up prophets among you, and made you your own masters, and granted unto you [favours] such as He had not granted to anyone else in the world.
മോശെ (മൂസാ) തന്റെ ജനതയോട് പറഞ്ഞു: “എന്റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, ദൈവം നിങ്ങളിൽ വർഷിച്ച അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഓർക്കുവിൻ. അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ നിയോഗിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം നായകന്മാരാക്കുകയും ലോകത്ത് മറ്റാർക്കും നൽകിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത പലതും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു.
