അല് അഅ്റാഫ് · Surah 7 of 114 · 206 verses · Makkah
الٓمٓصٓ﴿١﴾
Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad.
അലിഫ് ലാം മീം സ്വാദ്
كِتَٰبٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِى صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌۭ مِّنْهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٢﴾
A DIVINE WRIT has been bestowed from on high upon thee - and let there be no doubt about this in thy heart - in order that thou mayest warn [the erring] thereby, and [thus] admonish the believers:
ഒരു ദിവ്യഗ്രന്ഥം താങ്കള്ക്കു മേല് മുകളില് നിന്ന് നാം ഇറക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു -അതുസംബന്ധമായി താങ്കളുടെ മനസ്സിലൊരു ശങ്കയും ഉണ്ടായിക്കൂടാ, അതുവഴി താങ്കള് (വഴികേടിലായവര്ക്ക്) മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കാനും വിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് സന്തോഷവാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കാനും.
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۗ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ﴿٣﴾
"Follow what has been sent down unto you by your Sustainer, and follow no masters other than Him. How seldom do you keep this in mind!
നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവില് നിന്ന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് അവതീര്ണമായത് പിന്തുടരുക, അവനല്ലാത്ത ഒരാളെയും പിന്തുടരാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. എന്നാല് വളരെ ചുരുക്കമായേ നിങ്ങളീ കാര്യം ആലോചിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ!
وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ﴿٤﴾
And how many a [rebellious] community have We destroyed, with Our punishment coming upon it by night, or while they were resting at noontide!
(നിഷേധികളായ) എത്ര സമുദായങ്ങളെയാണ് നാം നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞത്. രാത്രിയിലോ അല്ലെങ്കില് ഉച്ചസമയത്ത് അവരുറങ്ങുമ്പോഴോ ഒക്കെ നമ്മുടെ ശിക്ഷയവര്ക്ക് വന്നെത്തി.
فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ﴿٥﴾
And when Our punishment came upon them, they had nothing to say for themselves, and could only cry, "Verily, we were wrongdoers!"
എന്നിട്ട്, നമ്മുടെ ശിക്ഷ വന്ന സമയത്ത് ഒന്നും പറയാനില്ലാതെ അവര് കരയുക മാത്രം ചെയ്തു: “ഞങ്ങള് അക്രമികള് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.”
فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ﴿٦﴾
Thus, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly call to account all those unto whom a [divine] message was sent, and We shall most certainly call to account the message-bearers [themselves];
അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ (അന്ത്യനാളില്) ഈ (ദിവ്യ)സന്ദേശം അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവരെയെല്ലാം നാം തീര്ച്ചയായും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യും, ഈ ദൈവദൂതരെ (തന്നെയും) നാം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുമെന്നതും തീര്ച്ച.
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِم بِعِلْمٍۢ ۖ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ﴿٧﴾
and thereupon We shall most certainly reveal unto them Our knowledge [of their doings]: for never have We been absent [from them].
അന്ന്, അവിടെ വെച്ച് നാം (അവരുടെ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച) നമ്മുടെ വിവരം അവര്ക്ക് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും: കാരണം, നാം ഒരിക്കലും (അവരെപ്പറ്റി) അശ്രദ്ധനായിരുന്നില്ല.
وَٱلْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ﴿٨﴾
And true will be the weighing on that Day; and those whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state;
അന്നേ ദിവസത്തെ തൂക്കം വളരെ കൃത്യമായിരിക്കും; ആരുടെ ത്രാസിലൊക്കെ (സത്കര്മങ്ങളുടെ) തട്ട് കനംതൂങ്ങുന്നുവോ അവര് സന്തോഷാവസ്ഥ പ്രാപിക്കും;
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ﴿٩﴾
whereas those whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves by their wilful rejection of Our messages!
അതെ സമയം, ആരുടെ ത്രാസിലെ തട്ട് കനം കുറയുന്നുവോ അവര് നമ്മുടെ സന്ദേശത്തെ മനഃപൂര്വം അവഗണിക്കുക വഴി സ്വന്തത്തെ പാഴാക്കിയവരായി തീരും.
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ ۗ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ﴿١٠﴾
YEA, INDEED, [O men,] We have given you a [bountiful] place on earth, and appointed thereon means of livelihood for you: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!
അതെ, തീര്ച്ചയായും (ഓ, ജനങ്ങളേ,) ഭൂമിയില് സമ്പുഷ്ടമായ ഒരിടം നാം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, അവിടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ ജീവിതോപാധികളും സംവിധാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു: എന്നിട്ടും, നിങ്ങളെത്ര നന്ദികെട്ടവരായിരിക്കുന്നു.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ﴿١١﴾
Yea, indeed, We have created you, and then formed you; and then We said unto the angels, "Prostrate yourselves before Adam!" - whereupon they [all] prostrated themselves, save Iblis: he was not among those who prostrated themselves.
തീര്ച്ചയായും നാം നിങ്ങളെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു, പിന്നീട് നിങ്ങളെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തി. എന്നിട്ട് നാം മാലാഖമാരോട് അരുളി: “നിങ്ങള് ആദമിന് മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമിക്കുക!” അപ്പോള് അവരെല്ലാവരും സാഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രണമിച്ചു, ഇബ്ലീസ് ഒഴികെ: സാഷ്ടാംഗം ചെയ്തവരില് അവനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلَّا تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ ۖ قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍۢ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍۢ﴿١٢﴾
[And God] said: "What has kept thee from prostrating thyself when I commanded thee?" Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay."
(അപ്പോള് ദൈവം) ചോദിച്ചു: “നിന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചപ്പോള് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് നീ സാഷ്ടാംഗം ചെയ്തില്ല?” (ഇബ്ലീസ്) പ്രതിവചിച്ചു: “ഞാന് അവനേക്കാള് ഉന്നതനാണ്; നീ എന്നെ പടച്ചത് തീയില് നിന്നാണ്, അവനെ പടച്ചതോ കളിമണ്ണില് നിന്നും.”
قَالَ فَٱهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَٱخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰغِرِينَ﴿١٣﴾
[God] said: "Down with thee, then, from this [state] - for it is not meet for thee to show arrogance here! Go forth, then: verily, among the humiliated shalt thou be!"
(ദൈവം) പറഞ്ഞു: “ഇറങ്ങുക, ഈ ഒരു (പദവി) വിട്ട്. കാരണം, ഇവിടെ അഹങ്കാരം അരുത്. ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് പുറത്ത്പോകുക: തീര്ച്ചയായും നിന്ദ്യരില് പെട്ടവനാണ് നീ.”
قَالَ أَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ﴿١٤﴾
Said [Iblis]: "Grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead."
(ഇബ്ലീസ്) പറഞ്ഞു: എല്ലാവരും പുനർജനിക്കുന്ന നാൾ വരെ എനിക്ക് അവധി തരണം.
قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ﴿١٥﴾
[And God] replied: "Verily, thou shalt be among those who are granted a respite."
(ദൈവം) പറഞ്ഞു: തീര്ച്ചയായും, നീ അവധി നല്കപ്പെട്ടവരില് പെട്ടവനാണ്.
قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ﴿١٦﴾
[Whereupon Iblis] said: "Now that Thou hast thwarted me, I shall most certainly lie in ambush for them all along Thy straight way,
(അപ്പോള് ഇബ്ലീസ്) മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: നീ എനിക്ക് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതിനാല് നിന്റെ നേര്വഴിയിലുടനീളം ഞാനവര്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി പതിയിരിക്കും.
ثُمَّ لَءَاتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَٰكِرِينَ﴿١٧﴾
and shall most certainly fall upon them openly as well as in a manner beyond their ken, and from their right and from their left: and most of them Thou wilt find ungrateful."
എന്നിട്ട് നേരിട്ടും അവര്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചറിയാനാകാത്ത തരത്തിലുമെല്ലാം അവര്ക്കെതിരെ ഞാന് ചാടിവീഴും; അവരുടെ വലത്-ഇടതു ഭാഗങ്ങളില് നിന്നും. അങ്ങനെ അവരിലെ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തെയും നിന്നോട് നന്ദികെട്ടവരായി എത്തിക്കും.
قَالَ ٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًۭا مَّدْحُورًۭا ۖ لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ﴿١٨﴾
[And God] said: "Go forth from here, disgraced and disowned! [And] as for such of them as follow thee - I will most certainly fill hell with you all!
(അപ്പോള് ദൈവം) പറഞ്ഞു: നീ ഇവിടം വിട്ട് പോകുക, നന്ദികെട്ടവനും നിഷ്കാസിതനുമായി. നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവര്, അവരെയെല്ലാവരെയും കൊണ്ട് ഞാന് നരകം നിറയ്ക്കും!
وَيَٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَكُلَا مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ﴿١٩﴾
And [as for thee], O Adam, dwell thou and thy wife in this garden, and eat, both of you, whatever you may wish; but do not approach this one tree, lest you become evildoers!"
(ആദമിനോട്), ഓ ആദം, നീയും ഭാര്യയും ഈ സ്വര്ഗത്തില് താമസിക്കുക, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് രണ്ടുപേര്ക്കും ഇഷടമുള്ളത് ഭക്ഷിക്കാം: എന്നാല് ഈ ഒരു വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തുപോകരുത്, തെറ്റുകാരാകാതിരിക്കാന് വേണ്ടി.
فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِيُبْدِىَ لَهُمَا مَا وُۥرِىَ عَنْهُمَا مِن سَوْءَٰتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَىٰكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْخَٰلِدِينَ﴿٢٠﴾
Thereupon Satan whispered unto the two with a view to making them conscious of their nakedness, of which [hitherto] they had been unaware; and he said: "Your Sustainer has but forbidden you this tree lest you two become [as] angels, or lest you live forever."
അപ്പോള് (അതുവരെ) തങ്ങള് രണ്ടുപേര്ക്കും ബോധമില്ലാതിരുന്ന തങ്ങളുടെ നഗ്നതെയെക്കുറിച്ച് ബോധവാന്മാരാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് പിശാച് അവരോട് മന്ത്രിച്ചു; അവന് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് രക്ഷിതാവ് ഈ മരം നിരോധിച്ചത് നിങ്ങള് രണ്ടുപേരും മാലാഖമാരായി മാറാതിരിക്കാന് വേണ്ടിയാണ്, അല്ലെങ്കില് എന്നെന്നും ജീവനോടെയിരിക്കാതിരിക്കാന് വേണ്ടി.
