അത്തൗബ · Surah 9 of 114 · 129 verses · Madinah
بَرَآءَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ﴿١﴾
DISAVOWAL by God and His Apostle [is herewith announced] unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God, [and] with whom you [O believers] have made a covenant.
നിങ്ങളുമായി കരാറിലേര്പ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബഹുദൈവവിശ്വാസികളോട്, ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും അവന്റെ ദൂതന്റെയും ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമൊഴിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുള്ള വിളംബരമാണിത്.
فَسِيحُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍۢ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْزِى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ﴿٢﴾
[Announce unto them:] "Go, then, [freely] about the earth for four months- but know that you can never elude God, and that, verily, God shall bring disgrace upon all who refuse to acknowledge the truth!"
(അവരോട് പറയുക;) “നാലു മാസക്കാലം നിങ്ങള് ഭൂമിയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുക- എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ദൈവത്തില് നിന്നും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറാന് കഴിയുകയില്ല എന്ന് നിങ്ങള് മനസ്സിലാക്കും, തീര്ച്ചയായും സത്യത്തെ നിരാകരിക്കുന്നവരെ ദൈവം അവമതിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും”.
وَأَذَٰنٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَجِّ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙ وَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴿٣﴾
And a proclamation from God and His Apostle [is herewith made] unto all mankind on this day of the Greatest Pilgrimage: "God disavows all who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, and [so does] His Apostle. Hence, if you repent, it shall be for your own good; and if you turn away, then know that you can never elude God!" And unto those who are bent on denying the truth give thou [O Prophet] the tiding of grievous chastisement.
ദൈവവും അവന്റെ ദൂതനും (ഇതിനാൽ) മഹത്തായ തീര്ത്ഥാടന വേളയില് (ഹജ്ജ്) ജനങ്ങളോടായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു: “ദൈവത്തോടൊപ്പം മറ്റെന്തിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കുന്ന ആളുകളെ ദൈവവും അവന്റെ ദൂതനും നിഷേധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങള് പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം നന്മക്ക് വേണ്ടിയാണ്. (അതല്ല) നിങ്ങള് തിരിഞ്ഞു കളയുകയാണെങ്കില്, അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുക-ദൈവത്തില് നിന്ന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും രക്ഷപ്പെടുക സാധ്യമല്ല!’ സത്യത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവരോട് (പ്രവാചകരേ) താങ്കള് കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷയുടെ സന്തോഷവാര്ത്ത അറിയിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَمْ يُظَٰهِرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًۭا فَأَتِمُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ﴿٤﴾
But excepted shall be- from among those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God - [people] with whom you [O believers] have made a covenant and who thereafter have in no wise failed to fulfil their obligations towards you, and neither have aided anyone against you: observe, then, your covenant with them until the end of the term agreed with them. Verily, God loves those who are conscious of Him.
നിങ്ങളുമായി കരാറിലേര്പ്പെടുകയും എന്നിട്ട് ആ കരാര് പാലിക്കുന്നതില് വീഴ്ചയൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കെതിരായി ആരെയും സഹായിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ബഹുദൈവാരാധകരൊഴികെ. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരോട് നിങ്ങളും കരാറിന്റെ അവധി വരെ അതു പാലിക്കുക. തീര്ച്ചയായും ദൈവം അവനോട് സൂക്ഷ്മത പുലര്ത്തുന്നവരെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.
فَإِذَا ٱنسَلَخَ ٱلْأَشْهُرُ ٱلْحُرُمُ فَٱقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَٱحْصُرُوهُمْ وَٱقْعُدُوا۟ لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍۢ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَخَلُّوا۟ سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ﴿٥﴾
And so, when the sacred months are over, slay those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God wherever you may come upon them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place! Yet if they repent, and take to prayer, and render the purifying dues, let them go their way: for, behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
പുണ്യമാസങ്ങള് അവസാനിച്ചാല്, ദൈവമല്ലാത്തവരുടെ മേല് ദൈവികത കല്പിച്ചു നല്കുന്ന ആളുകളെ കാണുമ്പോള് അവരെ കൊല്ലുക, അവരെ ബന്ദികളാക്കുക, ഉപരോധിക്കുക, എല്ലാ മര്മസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും അവര്ക്കെതിരെ പതിയിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. അവര് പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കുകയും നമസ്കരിക്കുകയും സംസ്കരണദാനം നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കില് അവരെ അവരുടെ വഴിക്ക് വിടുക; നിശ്ചയം ദൈവം നന്നായി പൊറുത്തുകൊടുക്കുന്നവനും കാരുണ്യം വര്ഷിക്കുന്നവനുമാണ്.
وَإِنْ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٱسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسْمَعَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُۥ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ﴿٦﴾
And if any of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God seeks thy protection, grant him protection, so that he might [be able to] hear the word of God [from thee]; and thereupon convey him to a place where he can feel secure: this, because they [may be] people who [sin only because they] do not know [the truth].
ദൈവത്തില് പങ്കുചേര്ക്കുന്ന ആരെങ്കിലുമൊരാള് നിങ്ങളുടെ സംരക്ഷണം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാല്, അവര്ക്ക് സംരക്ഷണം നല്കുക, അതിലൂടെ അവര്ക്ക് (നിങ്ങളില് നിന്ന്) ദൈവവാക്യങ്ങള് കേള്ക്കാന് (കഴിഞ്ഞേക്കും); പിന്നീട് അയാള്ക്ക് സുരക്ഷിതമെന്ന് തോന്നുന്ന ഇടത്ത് അയാളെ എത്തിക്കുക. (യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യം) അറിയാത്തതിനാലായിരുക്കും അവര് അതില് (തിന്മയില്) നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്.
كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ۖ فَمَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ﴿٧﴾
HOW COULD they who ascribe divinity to aught beside God be granted a covenant by God and His Apostle, unless it be those [of them] with whom you [O believers] have made a covenant in the vicinity of the Inviolable House of Worship? [As for the latter,] so long as they remain true to you, be true to them: for, verily, God loves those who are conscious of Him.
ദിവ്യത്വത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന് പങ്കുകാരെ ചേർക്കുന്നവർ എങ്ങനെയാണ് ദൈവത്തോടും അവന്റെ പ്രവാചകനോടും കരാറിലേര്പ്പെടുന്നത്, അവരുമായി നിങ്ങള്(മുസ്ലിംകള്) പരിശുദ്ധമായ മസ്ജിദുല് ഹറാമിനടുത്ത് വെച്ച് കരാറിലേര്പ്പെടുന്നത് വരെ? (പിന്നീട്) അവര് നിങ്ങളോട് സത്യസന്ധത പുലര്ത്തുന്ന കാലത്തോളം നിങ്ങള് അവരോടും സത്യസന്ധത പുലര്ത്തുക: നിശ്ചയം, ദൈവത്തോട് സൂക്ഷ്മതയുള്ളവരെ അവന് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.
كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا۟ فِيكُمْ إِلًّۭا وَلَا ذِمَّةًۭ ۚ يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ﴿٨﴾
How [else could it be]? - since, if they [who are hostile to you] were to overcome you, they would not respect any tie [with you,] nor any obligation to protect [you]. They seek to please you with their mouths, the while their hearts remain averse [to you]; and most of them are iniquitous.
എങ്ങനെ (അത് സാധ്യമാവും) അവര് (നിങ്ങളോട് ശത്രുതയുള്ളവര്) നിങ്ങളെ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തുകയും, (നിങ്ങളുമായുള്ള) നിബന്ധനകളെയും, (നിങ്ങളെ) സംരക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്തങ്ങളെയും അവര് ബഹുമാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്? അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വായ കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്താന് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു, അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങള് (നിങ്ങളോട്) വിരോധം പുലര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവരില് ഭൂരിഭാഗം ആളുകളും അനീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരാകുന്നു.
ٱشْتَرَوْا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ﴿٩﴾
God's messages have they bartered away for a trifling gain, and have thus turned away from His path: evil, behold, is all that they are wont to do,
നിസ്സാര ലാഭത്തിനായി ദൈവികസന്ദേശങ്ങളെ അവര് കച്ചവടം ചെയ്യുന്നു, അവന്റെ പാതയില് നിന്നും പിന്തിരിയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു: തിന്മ മാത്രമാണ് അവര് ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.
لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّۭا وَلَا ذِمَّةًۭ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُعْتَدُونَ﴿١٠﴾
respecting no tie and no protective obligation with regard to a believer; and it is they, they who transgress the bounds of what is right!
വിശ്വാസികളോടുള്ള സന്ധിക്കും അവരോടുള്ള സംരക്ഷണ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തത്തിനും അവര് യാതൊരു ബഹുമാനവും കല്പിക്കുന്നില്ല. അവരാണ് നേരായ മാര്ഗത്തില് നിന്നും അതിരുകടന്ന് പോയത്.
فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ﴿١١﴾
Yet if they repent, and take to prayer, and render the purifying dues, they become your brethren in faith: and clearly do We spell out these messages unto people of [innate] knowledge!
അവര് പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കുകയും,നമസ്കരിക്കുകയും സംസ്കരണ ദാനം(സകാത്ത്) നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കില് വിശ്വാസത്തില് അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങളായി വരും. (ആന്തരികാജ്ഞാനമുള്ള ആളുകളിലേക്ക് നാം ഈ സന്ദേശം എത്തിക്കും!
وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ﴿١٢﴾
But if they break their solemn pledges after having concluded a covenant, and revile your religion, then fight against these archetypes of faithlessness who, behold, have no [regard for their own] pledges, so that they might desist [from aggression].
എന്നാല്, കരാറില് ഏര്പ്പെട്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞ് തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിജ്ഞ അവര് ലംഘിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്, എന്നിട്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ മതത്തെ നിന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കില്, ധർമ്മനിരാസത്തിന്റെ ഈ മാതൃകകളുമായി പോരാടുക, അവര് (അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം) പ്രതിജ്ഞകൾ ലംഘിക്കുന്നവരാണ്, തീര്ച്ചയായും അവര് (അക്രമങ്ങളില് നിന്നും) പിന്തിരിയേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
أَلَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ قَوْمًۭا نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا۟ بِإِخْرَاجِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ ۚ فَٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٣﴾
Would you, perchance, fail to fight against people who have broken their solemn pledges, and have done all that they could to drive the Apostle away, and have been first to attack you? Do you hold them in awe? Nay, it is God alone of whom you ought to stand in awe, if you are [truly] believers!
തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിജ്ഞകള് ലംഘിക്കുകയും, പ്രവാചകനെ പുറത്താക്കാനായി നിരന്തരം ശ്രമിക്കുകയും, നിങ്ങളെ ആദ്യം ആക്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ആളുകളുമായി നിങ്ങള് പോരാടുകയില്ലേ?നിങ്ങളവരെ ഭയപ്പെടുമോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭയഭക്തിക്ക് അര്ഹന് ദൈവം മാത്രമാണ്, നിങ്ങൾ (യഥാര്ത്ഥ) വിശ്വാസികളാണെങ്കില്!
قَٰتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍۢ مُّؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٤﴾
Fight against them! God will chastise them by your hands, and will bring disgrace upon them, and will succour you against them; and He will soothe the bosoms of those who believe,
അവര്ക്കെതിരെ പോരാടുക! നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളാല് ദൈവം അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കും, അവരുടെ മേല് അപമാനം ചൊരിയും, അവര്ക്കെതിരെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അഭയം നല്കും; എന്നിട്ട് വിശ്വസിച്ചവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് ആശ്വാസം പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യും,
وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَيَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ﴿١٥﴾
and will remove the wrath that is in their hearts. And God will turn in His mercy unto whom He wills: for, God is all-knowing, wise.
അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലെ കോപം ഇറക്കിവെക്കും. താന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് ദൈവം പാപമോചനം നല്കുന്നു. ദൈവം എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനും യുക്തിജ്ഞനുമാണ്.
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تُتْرَكُوا۟ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةًۭ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ﴿١٦﴾
Do you [O believers] think that you will be spared unless God takes cognizance of your having striven hard [in His cause] without seeking help from any but God and His Apostle and those who believe in Him? For, God is aware of all that you do.
നിങ്ങൾ വെറുതെ വിട്ടയക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് കരുതുന്നുവോ ദൈവവും അവന്റെ ദൂതനും വിശ്വാസികളുമല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുടെയും സഹായം തേടാതെ (ദൈവികസരണിയിൽ) കഠിനാദ്ധ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് ദൈവം കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ലാതെ? നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം ദൈവം അറിയുന്നു. ക
مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يَعْمُرُوا۟ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ شَٰهِدِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِم بِٱلْكُفْرِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ﴿١٧﴾
IT IS NOT for those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God to visit or tend God's houses of worship, the while [by their beliefs] they bear witness against themselves that they are denying the truth. It is they whose works shall come to nought, and they who in the fire shall abide!
ദൈവത്തില് പങ്കുചേര്ക്കുന്ന ആളുകള് ദൈവിക ഭവനങ്ങൾ സന്ദര്ശിക്കാനോ അത് പരിപാലിക്കാനോ അവകാശമില്ല, അവര് (അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്താല് തന്നെ) സത്യത്തെ നിരാകരിക്കുന്നതിന് സ്വയം സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ കര്മങ്ങള് നിഷ്ഫലമാണ്, നരകത്തില് അവര് ശാശ്വതരായിരിക്കും!
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ﴿١٨﴾
Only he should visit or tend God's houses of worship who believes in God and the Last Day, and is constant in prayer, and spends in charity, and stands in awe of none but God: for [only such as] these may hope to be among the rightguided!
ദൈവത്തിലും അന്ത്യദിനത്തിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും,നമസ്കാരം മുറപോലെ നിര്വഹിക്കുകയും, ദാനം(സകാത്ത്) നല്കുകയും ദൈവത്തോട് മാത്രം ഭയഭക്തി കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ആളുകള്ക്ക് മാത്രമേ ദൈവികഭവനം സന്ദര്ശിക്കാനും പരിപാലിക്കാനും അവകാശമുള്ളൂ: നിശ്ചയം, അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരേ സന്മാര്ഗചാരികളായിത്തീരുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാവൂ.
۞ أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ ٱلْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَجَٰهَدَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوُۥنَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ﴿١٩﴾
Do you, perchance, regard the [mere] giving of water to pilgrims and the tending of the Inviolable House of Worship as being equal to [the works of] one who believes in God and the Last Day and strives hard in God's cause? These [things] are not equal in the sight of God. And God does not grace with His guidance people who [deliberately] do wrong.
തീര്ഥാടകര്ക്കു വെള്ളം കൊടുക്കുന്നതും ഉപാസനയുടെ അലംഘനീയ ഗേഹത്തെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നതും, ദൈവത്തിലും അന്ത്യനാളിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ദൈവികസരണിയില് ത്യാഗമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ കര്മങ്ങള്ക്കു തുല്യമാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങള് കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ? ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില് ഈ (കാര്യങ്ങൾ) തുല്യമല്ല. (മനഃപൂർവ്വം) തെറ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക് ദൈവം മാര്ഗദര്ശനം നല്കുന്നില്ല.
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
Those who believe, and who have forsaken the domain of evil and have striven hard in God's cause with their possessions and their lives have the highest rank in the sight of God; and it is they, they who shall triumph [in the end]!
വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും, തിന്മയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തും ജീവനും കൊണ്ട് ദൈവമാര്ഗത്തില് പ്രയത്നിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്ക് ദൈവിക സന്നിധിയില് ഉയര്ന്ന പദവിയുണ്ട്; (ആത്യന്തികമായി) അവരാണ് യഥാര്ത്ഥ വിജയികള്
