Surah Ta Ha — O Man

طه﴿١﴾

O MAN!

ഹേ, മനുഷ്യാ,

مَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِتَشْقَىٰٓ﴿٢﴾

We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy,

നിന്നെ അസന്തുഷ്ടനാക്കാനല്ല നാം ഈ ഖുർആൻ ഉയരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് നിനക്കു മേൽ ഇറക്കിയത്.

إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ﴿٣﴾

but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]:

(ദൈവത്തോട്) ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവർക്കൊരു ഉദ്ബോധനം മാത്രമാണ്.

تَنزِيلًۭا مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ٱلْعُلَى﴿٤﴾

a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens -

ഭൂമിയും അത്യുന്നതമായ ആകാശങ്ങളും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വെളിപാടാണത്.

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ﴿٥﴾

the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness?

തന്റെ സർവാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടനായിരിക്കുന്ന പരമകാരുണികനാണവൻ.

لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ﴿٦﴾

Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod.

ആകാശങ്ങളിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ളതെല്ലാം അവന്റേതാണ്, അവയ്‌ക്കിടയിലുള്ളതും മണ്ണിനടിയിലുള്ളതും.

وَإِن تَجْهَرْ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى﴿٧﴾

And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it - ] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him].

നീ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉച്ചത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞാൽ (അവനത് കേൾക്കും), ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, അവൻ (മനുഷ്യരുടെ) സ്വകാര്യത (ചിന്ത)കളും പരമ നിഗൂഢമായതുമെല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനാണ്.

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ﴿٨﴾

God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection!

ദൈവം, അവനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല, പൂർണതയുടെ വിശേഷണങ്ങൾ അവന്റേത് മാത്രമാണ്.

وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ﴿٩﴾

AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken?

മോശെയുടെ കഥ നിനക്കു വന്നെത്തിയോ?

إِذْ رَءَا نَارًۭا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًۭا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًۭى﴿١٠﴾

Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand therefrom, or find at the fire some guidance."

നോക്കൂ, അദ്ദേഹം (മരുഭൂമിയിൽ) ഒരു തീ കണ്ടു. അപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇവിടെ നിൽക്കൂ, ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, (ദൂരത്തായി) ഞാനൊരു തീ കാണുന്നു. ഒരുപക്ഷേ അതിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു തീക്കൊള്ളി നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞേക്കാം, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവിടെ വല്ല വഴികാട്ടിയെയും കണ്ടെത്തിയേക്കാം.

فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِىَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ﴿١١﴾

But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses!

പക്ഷേ, അദ്ദേഹം അതിനോടടുത്തപ്പോൾ ഒരു വിളി കേട്ടു: മോശെ

إِنِّىٓ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًۭى﴿١٢﴾

Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice-hallowed valley,

തീർച്ചയായും നാം നിന്റെ നാഥനാണ്. നിന്റെ ചെരിപ്പ് അഴിച്ചുവെക്കുക. നിശ്ചയം നീ രണ്ടു തവണ വിശുദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ട താഴ്‌വരയിലാണ്.

وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ﴿١٣﴾

and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee].

നാം താങ്കളെ (നമ്മുടെ പ്രവാചകനായി) തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ (നിന്നിലേക്ക്) വെളിപാടായി ഇറങ്ങുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേൾക്കുക.

إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ﴿١٤﴾

"Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me!

നിശ്ചയം, നാം മാത്രമാണ് ദൈവം, നാമല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. അതിനാൽ നമ്മെ മാത്രം ആരാധിക്കുക, നമ്മെ ഓർമിക്കാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥന നിഷ്ഠയോടെ നിർവഹിക്കുക.

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ﴿١٥﴾

"Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life].

കാണുക, നാമിത് മറച്ചുവെക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു (എങ്കിലും) അന്ത്യനാൾ വന്നെത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും. അതിനാൽ ഓരോ മനുഷ്യനും താൻ (ജീവിതത്തിൽ) പരിശ്രമിച്ചതിനനുസരിച്ച് പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കാനാണത്.

فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ﴿١٦﴾

Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish!

അതിനാൽ, അത് വന്നെത്തുമെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും തന്നിഷ്ടങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരാരും നിന്നെ ഇതിൽ (വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതിൽ) നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ നീയും നാശത്തിൽ അകപ്പെടും.

وَمَا تِلْكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ﴿١٧﴾

"Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?"

മോശെ, നിന്റെ വലതു കൈയിൽ എന്താണ്?

قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ﴿١٨﴾

He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it."

അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതെന്റെ വടിയാണ്. ഞാൻ ഇതിന്മേൽ ഊന്നുന്നു. ഞാനിതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ആടുകൾക്ക് ഇല വീഴ്ത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നു. ഇതുകൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് വേറെയും ചില ആവശ്യങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്.

قَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ﴿١٩﴾

Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!"

അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു: ഓ മോശെ, നീ വടി താഴെയിടൂ.

فَأَلْقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِىَ حَيَّةٌۭ تَسْعَىٰ﴿٢٠﴾

So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly.

അദ്ദേഹം അത് താഴെയിട്ടു. നോക്കൂ, അത് പെട്ടെന്ന് ഇഴയുന്ന പാമ്പായിരിക്കുന്നു.
