حمٓ﴿١﴾
Ha. Mim
ഹാ മീം.
وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ﴿٢﴾
CONSIDER this divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth:
ഈ ദിവ്യഗ്രന്ഥം സുവ്യക്തവും സത്യത്തെ വെളിവാക്കുന്നതുമാണ്:
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ﴿٣﴾
behold, We have caused it to be a discourse in the Arabic tongue, so that you might encompass it with your reason.
നോക്കുക, നാം ഇതിനെ അറബി ഭാഷയിലുള്ള വ്യവഹാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, നിങ്ങള്ക്കത് യുക്തി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി.
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ﴿٤﴾
And, verily, [originating as it does] in the source, with Us, of all revelation, it is indeed sublime, full of wisdom.
നിശ്ചയമായും, നമ്മില് നിന്നുമുള്ള എല്ലാ ദിവ്യബോധനങ്ങളെയും പോലെ (പിറവിയെടുക്കുന്ന) ഇത്, തീര്ച്ചയായും ഉത്കൃഷ്ടമായതും വിവേകം നിറഞ്ഞതുമാകുന്നു.
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا مُّسْرِفِينَ﴿٥﴾
[O YOU who deny the truth!] Should We, perchance, withdraw this reminder from you altogether, seeing that you are people bent on wasting your own selves?
(അല്ലയോ സത്യനിഷേധികളേ!) നിങ്ങള് സ്വയം നശിക്കുന്നതില് മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട് നാം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഈ സന്ദേശമയക്കുന്നതില് നിന്നും പൂര്ണ്ണമായും പിന്വലിയണമെന്നാണോ?
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّۢ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿٦﴾
And how many a prophet did We send to people of olden times!
പൂര്വ്വകാലങ്ങളിലെ ജനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നാം എത്ര പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയാണയച്ചത്!
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ﴿٧﴾
But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him -
അവരിലൊരാളെയും ആ ജനങ്ങള് പരിഹസിക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല –
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿٨﴾
and so, [in the end,] We destroyed them [even though they were] of greater might than these: and the [very] image of those people of old became a thing of the past.
അങ്ങനെ, (ഒടുവിൽ,) നാം അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു, അവര് ഇവരേക്കാള് ശക്തരായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും: അങ്ങനെ, പൂര്വ്വകാല ജനങ്ങളെന്നത് കേവലം കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ സംഭവം മാത്രമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ﴿٩﴾
Yet thus it is (with most people]: if 7 thou ask them, "Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth?" - they will surely answer, "The Almighty, the All-Knowing has created them."
ഇങ്ങനെയാണ് (ഭൂരിഭാഗം ആളുകളുടെയും) കാര്യം: നിങ്ങളവരോട് “വാന-ഭുവനങ്ങള് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത് ആരാണ്?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാല്, അവര് തീര്ച്ചയായും പറയും: “അജയ്യനും സര്വജ്ഞനുമായ ആ ശക്തിയാണവയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്.”
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ﴿١٠﴾
He it is who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has provided for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, so that you might follow the right path.
അവന് ഭൂമിയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കൊരു തൊട്ടിലാക്കി നല്കുകയും, അതിനുശേഷം അവയില് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് (ജീവിതമാര്ഗം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള) പാതകളൊരുക്കിത്തരികയും ചെയ്തു, നിങ്ങള് ശരിയായ മാര്ഗം പിന്തുടരുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി.
وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۢ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ﴿١١﴾
And He it is who sends down, again and again, waters from the sky in due measure: and [as] We raise therewith dead land to life, even thus will you be brought forth [from the dead].
അവനാകുന്നു ആകാശങ്ങളില് നിന്നും നിശ്ചിതമായ അളവില് വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ജലം വര്ഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്: അങ്ങനെ മൃതഭൂമിയെ അവന് ജീവിതത്തിലേക്കുയര്ത്തുന്നു. ഇതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും (മരണത്തില് നിന്നും) ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പ്പിക്കപ്പെടും.
وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ﴿١٢﴾
And He it is who has created all opposites. And He [it is who] has provided for you all those ships and animals whereon you ride,
അവനാകുന്നു സകലതിനെയും ഇണകളാക്കി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. നിങ്ങള് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന കാലികളെയും കപ്പലുകളെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കൊരുക്കിത്തന്നതും (അവനാകുന്നു),
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ﴿١٣﴾
in order that you might gain mastery over them," and that, whenever you have mastered them, you might remember your Sustainer's blessings and say: "Limitless in His glory is He who has made [all] this subservient to our use - since [but for Him,] we would not have been able to attain to it.
നിങ്ങള് അവയ്ക്ക് മേല് ആധിപത്യം നേടാന് വേണ്ടി. അങ്ങനെ ആധിപത്യം നേടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാല്, നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം വാഴ്ത്തുന്നതിനും: “എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി വിധേയപ്പെടുത്തി തന്ന അവന് എത്ര പരിശുദ്ധന്! (അവനില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കില്) ഞങ്ങള്ക്കിതൊന്നും നേടാന് സാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല.
وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ﴿١٤﴾
Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn."
നിശ്ചയമായും, അവനിലേക്ക് തന്നെയാണ് നമ്മള് മടങ്ങേണ്ടതും.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌۭ مُّبِينٌ﴿١٥﴾
AND YET, they attribute to Him offspring from among some of the beings created by Him! Verily, most obviously bereft of all gratitude is man!
എന്നിട്ടും, അവര് അവന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ചില സൃഷ്ടികള്ക്കിടയില് നിന്നും അവര് അവന്റെ സന്താനമുണ്ടെന്ന് ആരോപിക്കുന്നു! നിശ്ചയമായും, മനുഷ്യന് ഏറെ കൃതഘ്നന് തന്നെ!
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍۢ وَأَصْفَىٰكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ﴿١٦﴾
Or [do you think], perchance, that out of all His creation He has chosen for Himself daughters, and favoured you with sons?
അല്ലെങ്കില് (നിങ്ങള് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ), തന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളില് പെണ്മക്കളെ തനിക്കായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയും ആണ്മക്കളെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തുവെന്ന്?
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مَثَلًۭا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّۭا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ﴿١٧﴾
For [thus it is:] if any of them is given the glad tiding of [the birth of] what he so readily attributes to the Most Gracious, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed anger:
എന്തെന്നാല് (ഇങ്ങനയാണ് കാര്യം:) അവരിലാര്ക്കെങ്കിലും ഏറ്റവും പരിശുദ്ധനായവന് മേല് അവര് എളുപ്പത്തില് ആരോപിക്കുന്നത് പോലെയുള്ള ഒരു (ജനനത്തെ കുറിച്ച്) സന്തോഷ വാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കപ്പെട്ടാല്, അവന്റെ മുഖം കറുക്കും, അവന് ദേഷ്യം കൊണ്ട് നിറയുകയും ചെയ്യും.
أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى ٱلْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍۢ﴿١٨﴾
"What! [Am I to have a daughter -] one who is to be reared [only] for the sake of ornament?" - and thereupon he finds himself torn by a vague inner conflict.
“എന്ത് (എനിക്കൊരു പെണ്കുഞ്ഞുണ്ടാവുന്നു എന്നോ-) ആഭരണങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി മാത്രം വളര്ത്തപ്പെടാന് ഒരു പെണ്കുഞ്ഞുണ്ടാവുന്നു എന്നോ?” - അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആന്തരികമായ പ്രതിസന്ധിയാല് തളര്ന്നുപോവുകയും ചെയ്യും.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ﴿١٩﴾
And [yet] they claim that the angels - who in themselves are but beings created by the Most Gracious - are females: [but] did they witness their creation? This false claim of theirs will be recorded, and they will be called to account [for it on Judgment Day]!
(എന്നിട്ടും) കാരുണികനായ ദൈവത്താല് സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട മലക്കുകൾ സ്ത്രീകളാണെന്ന് ഇവര് ആരോപിക്കും: (പക്ഷെ) അവര് അവരുടെ സൃഷ്ടി കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അവരുടെ ഈ തെറ്റായ അവകാശവാദങ്ങള് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെടുകയും (വിധിപറയുന്ന നാളില്) ഇവരതിനു സമാധാനം ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടി വരികയും ചെയ്യും.
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَٰهُم ۗ مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ﴿٢٠﴾
Yet they say, "Had [not] the Most Gracious so willed, we would never have worshipped them!" [But] they cannot have any knowledge of [His having willed] such a thing: they do nothing but guess 20
എന്നിട്ടും അവര് പറയുന്നു, “പരമകാരുണികന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കില്, ഞങ്ങള് അവരെയൊന്നും ആരാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല!” (പക്ഷെ) അവര്ക്ക് (അവന് അങ്ങനെയൊരു കാര്യം ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച്) യാതൊരറിവുമില്ല: അവരുടേത് കേവലം ഊഹാപോഹങ്ങളല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല.
