Surah Ar-Rahman — The Most Gracious

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ﴿١﴾

THE MOST GRACIOUS

പരമകാരുണികൻ.

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ﴿٢﴾

has imparted this Qur'an [unto man].

ഈ ഖുർആൻ അവൻ മനുഷ്യന് പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ﴿٣﴾

He has created man:

അവൻ മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ﴿٤﴾

He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech.

അവന് വ്യക്തമായി ചിന്തിക്കാനും സംസാരിക്കാനുമുള്ള ശേഷി അവൻ നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ﴿٥﴾

[At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses;

അവിടുത്തെ കൽപ്പനയാൽ സൂര്യനും ചന്ദ്രനും അവയുടെ നിർണ്ണിതമായ ഭ്രമണപഥങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു;

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ﴿٦﴾

[before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees.

അവിടുത്തെ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും സാഷ്ടാംഗ പ്രണാമം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ﴿٧﴾

And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure,

അവിടുന്ന് ആകാശത്തെ ഉയർത്തി നിർത്തുകയും, സകല വസ്തുക്കൾക്കുമായി കൃത്യമായ ഒരു ത്രാസ് (അളവുകോൽ) നിശ്ചയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ﴿٨﴾

so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right):

നന്മയുടെയും നീതിയുടെയും ത്രാസ്സിൽ മനുഷ്യരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും അതിരുകൾ ലംഘിക്കാതിരിക്കുവാൻ;

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ﴿٩﴾

weigh, therefore, [your deed] with equity, and cut not the measure short!

ആകയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ കർമ്മങ്ങളെ നീതിയോടെ തൂക്കി തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തുവിൻ; അളവിൽ കുറവു വരുത്താതിരിക്കുവിൻ!

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ﴿١٠﴾

And the earth has He spread out for all living beings,

അവിടുന്ന് ഭൂമിയെ സർവ്വ ജീവജാലങ്ങൾക്കുമായി വിരിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു;

فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ﴿١١﴾

with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates],

അതിൽ അവിടുന്ന് നാവിനു കുളിരേകുന്ന ഫലങ്ങളും, ഉറകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ പാകപ്പെട്ട പഴക്കുലകളുള്ള ഈന്തപ്പനകളും ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചു!

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ﴿١٢﴾

and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants.

തണ്ടുകളിൽ തലയുയർത്തി നിൽക്കുന്ന ധാന്യമണികളും, സുഗന്ധം പരത്തുന്ന ചെടികളും അവിടുന്ന് നൽകി.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٣﴾

Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow?

ആകയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളിൽ ഏതിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ നിഷേധിക്കുക?!

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ﴿١٤﴾

He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery,

മനുഷ്യനെ അവൻ മൺപാത്രത്തിന് സമാനമായ, മുട്ടുമ്പോൾ ശബ്ദമുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഉണങ്ങിയ കളിമണ്ണിൽ നിന്നും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ﴿١٥﴾

whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire.

എന്നാൽ അദൃശ്യ ജീവികളെ (ജിന്നുകളെ) അവിടുന്ന് പുകയില്ലാത്ത, ജ്വലിച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയിൽ നിന്നാണ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്;

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٦﴾

Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow?

ആകയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ അനന്തശക്തികളിൽ ഏതിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ നിഷേധിക്കുക?!

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ﴿١٧﴾

[He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset.

അവിടുന്ന് രണ്ട് ഉദയസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെയും രണ്ട് അസ്തമയസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെയും നാഥനാകുന്നു.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٨﴾

Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow?

ആകയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളിൽ ഏതിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ നിഷേധിക്കുക?!

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ﴿١٩﴾

He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet:

രണ്ട് വലിയ ജലാശയങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ കണ്ടുമുട്ടുവാനായി, അവൻ അവയെ സ്വതന്ത്രമായി ഒഴുകാൻ വിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ﴿٢٠﴾

[yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress.

എങ്കിലും, അവയ്ക്കിടയിൽ ഒരു മറയുണ്ട്; അവ അതിലംഘിക്കുകയില്ല.
