Surah Al-Haqqah — The Laying-Bare Of The Truth

ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿١﴾

OH, THE LAYING-BARE of the truth!

എത്ര വിസ്മയകരം സത്യത്തിന്റെ ആ അനാവരണം!

مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿٢﴾

How awesome that laying-bare of the truth!

എന്താണ് സത്യത്തിന്റെ ആ അനാവരണം!

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿٣﴾

And what could make thee conceive what that laying-bare of the truth will be?

സത്യത്തിന്റെ അനാവരണം എന്താണെന്ന് നിനക്കെന്തറിയാം?

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ﴿٤﴾

THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity!

ഥമൂദ്, ആദ് ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ആകസ്മികമായി വന്നുപതിക്കുന്ന ആ മഹാവിപത്തിനെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു!

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ﴿٥﴾

Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth];

അതിൽ ഥമൂദ് ഗോത്രം അതിശക്തമായൊരു ഭൂകമ്പത്താൽ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു;

وَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍۢ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۢ﴿٦﴾

and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging,

ആദ് ഗോത്രമാകട്ടെ, അത്യുഗ്രമായി വീശിയടിക്കുന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിലൂടെ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു,

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍۢ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۢ﴿٧﴾

which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death], as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees:

അവൻ അത് ഏഴ് രാവുകളും എട്ട് പകലുകളും തുടർച്ചയായി അവർക്കെതിരെ തിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു; അങ്ങനെ ഒടുവിൽ, ആ ജനങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളു പൊള്ളയായ ഈന്തപ്പനത്തടികൾ വേരോടെ പിഴുതെറിയപ്പെട്ടത് പോലെ (മരണപ്പെട്ട്) അവിടെ വീണുകിടക്കുന്നത് നിനക്ക് കാണാമായിരുന്നു.

فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍۢ﴿٨﴾

and dost thou now see any remnant of them?

ഇപ്പോൾ അവരിൽ അവശേഷിക്കുന്ന വല്ലതും നീ കാണുന്നുണ്ടോ?

وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ﴿٩﴾

And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sin

അവിടെ ഫറവോനും, അവന് മുൻപ് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നവരിൽ പലരും, കീഴ്മേൽ മറിയപ്പെട്ട ആ നഗരവാസികളും - (അവരെല്ലാം) പാപത്തിന്മേൽ പാപങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;

فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةًۭ رَّابِيَةً﴿١٠﴾

and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe!

തങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അവർ ധിക്കരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു: തന്മൂലം അവന്‍ അങ്ങേയറ്റം കഠിനമായൊരു ശിക്ഷാനടപടിയിലൂടെ അവരെ പിടികൂടുക തന്നെ ചെയ്തു!

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ﴿١١﴾

[And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark,

(ഓർക്കുക): (നോഹയുടെ പ്രളയ)ത്തിലെ വെള്ളം എല്ലാ പരിധികളും ലംഘിച്ച് ഉയർന്നപ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങളെ ആ ഒഴുകുന്ന പെട്ടകത്തിൽ സുരക്ഷിതമായി വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പോയത് നാമാകുന്നു.

لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌۭ وَٰعِيَةٌۭ﴿١٢﴾

so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in.

ഇതെല്ലാം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് (ശാശ്വതമായ) ഒരു സ്മാരകമാക്കാനും ജാഗ്രതയുള്ള കാതുകൾ ആ ഓർമ കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കാനും വേണ്ടിയത്രെ അത്.

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ﴿١٣﴾

Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast,

അതിനാൽ (ആ അന്ത്യസമയത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഓർക്കുക,) കാഹളത്തിൽ ഒരൊറ്റ തവണ ഊതപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ,

وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ﴿١٤﴾

and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke!

ഭൂമിയും പർവ്വതങ്ങളും ഉയർത്തപ്പെടുകയും, ഒരൊറ്റയടിക്ക് അവ ഉടച്ച് തകർക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ!

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ﴿١٥﴾

And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass;

അങ്ങനെ, സംഭവിക്കേണ്ട അനിവാര്യമായ ആ കാര്യം അന്നാളിലാണ്, സമാഗതമാവുക.

وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاهِيَةٌۭ﴿١٦﴾

and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day - ;

ആകാശം പിളർന്നുമാറുകയും ചെയ്യും — കാരണം, ആ ദിവസം അത് അങ്ങേയറ്റം ദുർബ്ബലമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കും;

وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ﴿١٧﴾

and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and, above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness....

മാലാഖമാർ അതിന്റെ അതിരുകളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടും, ആ ദിവസം നിന്റെ നാഥന്റെ പരമാധികാരത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ എട്ട് മലക്കുകൾ തങ്ങൾക്ക് മുകളിലായി വഹിക്കുന്നതുമായിരിക്കും.

يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌۭ﴿١٨﴾

On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden.

ആ ദിവസം നിങ്ങൾ വിചാരണയ്ക്കായി ഹാജരാക്കപ്പെടും: നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരൊറ്റ നിഗൂഢരഹസ്യവും അന്ന് ഒളിച്ചുവെക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ﴿١٩﴾

Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record!

എന്നാൽ, ഏതൊരുവന്റെ കർമ്മരേഖയാണോ അവന്റെ വലതുകൈയിൽ നൽകപ്പെടുന്നത്, അവൻ (സന്തോഷത്തോടെ) വിളിച്ചുപറയും: "നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും ഇങ്ങോട്ട് വരുവിൻ! എന്റെ ഈ കർമ്മരേഖ വായിച്ചുനോക്കൂ!

إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ﴿٢٠﴾

Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account!

തീർച്ചയായും, (ഒരു ദിവസം) എനിക്ക് എന്റെ വിചാരണയെ നേരിടേണ്ടിവരുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ഉറച്ചു വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നു!"
